Following the boss's gaze, Xiao Feng saw a group gathered at the corner, among them was Brother Long, who the young girl had beaten up earlier.

Brother Long was holding a middle-aged man dressed in a woolen coat, whispering sothing in his ear.

At this distance, Xiao Feng certainly couldn't hear what they were saying, but there was no need to think much to know it was probably about causing trouble and regaining face.

After a while, the middle-aged man, along with two others, walked to the boss's stall: "Boss, two drawers of buns to go."

"We made fewer buns today, they're all gone," the boss replied boldly.

"Gone?" One of the n behind the middle-aged man imdiately got unhappy: "Lift the drawers so I can see. If there are any, I'll shove them all into your mouth."

Upon hearing this, the boss's wife, who had been scolding the boss for being cowardly, couldn't help but panic: "Don't listen to him, there's still plenty in the drawers. I'll get them for you right away."

But the boss pulled the boss's wife back and scolded, "Is it your turn to speak? Even if I had so, I wouldn't sell them. If you have the guts, just kill !"

After finishing his sentence, he chopped the knife on the cutting board, ready to fight at any mont.

Another subordinate rolled up his sleeves, seemingly about to grab the boss's collar, cursing, "You damn... "

However, before he could finish, the middle-aged man waved him off: "Since they're gone, let's check out another place."

He said that and actually left the stall.

Xiao Feng watched indifferently. There were too many injustices in the world. If he had to deal with them all, he'd probably be dead tired.

Moreover, he knew these people were here because of him. Sooner or later, they would have to face off.

The young girl, however, couldn't help but pound the table, but when Xiao Feng put a bun in her bowl, she imdiately smiled and started eating.

Just then, the middle-aged man moved in front of Xiao Feng, sat on the bench next to him, and politely said, "You're a fresh face, brother."

As he spoke, he discreetly observed Xiao Feng and the young girl opposite him.

"Did I invite you to sit down?" Xiao Feng frowned, placing his chopsticks on the bowl, making a clear sound.

The people around noticed the commotion and each put down their chopsticks, ready to see a show.

"Kid, you dare to speak to my big brother like that?" the middle-aged man's subordinate said angrily.

In fact, it wasn't that underlings had big tempers; it was just that this was their job. Over ti, even a calm person becos irritable due to routine.

"Nonsense!" the middle-aged man looked at his subordinate and scolded, "I hate you people the most, swaggering under my na and expecting to clean up your ss."

The subordinate shrank back a bit, reluctantly retreating, though outwardly not showing much reaction, as if they had heard this kind of talk too often and were used to it by now.

After reproaching his subordinate, the middle-aged man stood up, cupped his hands towards Xiao Feng, and said, "Sorry, I heard my n said we offended you two earlier, so I ca over specifically to apologize. Since brother here doesn't welco , I'll take my leave then."

"Wait!" the young girl shouted in a bright voice.

The middle-aged man's footsteps stopped, and he turned back with a smile, "Is there anything else?"

"Keep your n in check. In this day and age, still thinking of bullying and collecting protection fees? If you really ss with the wrong people, you won't even know how you died," the young girl proclaid sowhat maturely.

"Got it, I'll rember!" the middle-aged man nodded earnestly, then called the boss over.

The boss couldn't help but panic, but at this point, he was in too deep to back out. He pulled out the knife from the cutting board, holding it as he walked over, the boss's wife following behind with a worried face.

To say the boss had the guts to stab soone probably wasn't true, or he wouldn't have been bullied for so long. However, holding a weapon in tis of panic always brought so confidence.

The knife served mostly as a deterrent.

"My n were out of line earlier, I apologize," the middle-aged man said while taking his wallet out and stuffing all the money into the boss's apron pocket: "This is a little token of apology."

Not until the middle-aged man left with his two subordinates did the boss co back to his senses, still feeling it was a bit unreal, like a dream.

The boss's wife was the sensible one, pinching the boss and whispering in his ear: "Do you think that guy was afraid of your knife? He's scared of these two guests. Quickly say sothing, don't drop the ball at the crucial mont."

"Oh, right, right!" The boss took the money out of his pocket and, gritting his teeth, handed it to Xiao Feng: "Thanks to you two for today, this al is on ."

Xiao Feng declined, while the boss kept insisting.

The young girl couldn't stand it any longer, snatched the money, and stuffed it into the boss's wife's pocket: "It's not easy for you to make ends et with a family to raise, just do business well from now on. Your buns are really good."

The boss's wife hesitated for a mont but no longer refused, only saying: "Alright, co by anyti if you want more buns. If it's inconvenient, I can deliver them, or just give you the recipe."

"My wife is right, I'll write down the recipe imdiately," the boss said excitedly, forgetting to even greet the custors.

He barely moved when the boss's wife stopped him: "What do you an by that?"

"Didn't you just ask to write the recipe?" The boss looked confused.

The boss's wife sighed, "What you said makes it seem like we're not welcoming them back."

"So what should I say?" The boss humbly asked for advice.

"You just need to say..."

The boss's wife suddenly stopped because she noticed Xiao Feng, with the young girl, had already reached the intersection, turned a corner, and vanished from sight.

"It's all because of you, you silly woman!" The boss complained, then hurriedly packed all the buns from the drawer into two large bags and sprinted after Xiao Feng's direction.

...

Xiao Feng carried two large bags of buns, following the young girl. An observer would think he had raided a bun shop; there were enough buns for seven to eight people to eat for a week.

"Brother Xiao Feng, do you think that middle-aged man ca to apologize because he's afraid we'll keep causing trouble for them?" The young girl asked, munching on a bun with obvious delight.

"Of course not," Xiao Feng shook his head, "Didn't you notice when he sat down, he was pretending to casually check us out."

"Really?!" The young girl burst into laughter, "So he saw that I'm really impressive, and that's why he obediently ca to apologize?"

If Xiao Feng's hands weren't occupied with the buns, he might have knocked the young girl's head. This girl was getting a bit too cocky.

In fact, Xiao Feng was quite conflicted.

On one hand, he worried that if he knocked so sense into the young girl, she'd beco hesitant in the future.

On the other hand, he feared the young girl, feeling triumphant this ti, might beco recklessly arrogant next ti.

So, he had to find a balance, neither discouraging the young girl nor letting her underestimate life's challenges.

As he was thinking, he saw the young girl burst out laughing, blink her big eyes, and playfully said, "Brother Xiao Feng, don't tell you really think I'm clueless?"

"So tell , what do you know?" Xiao Feng asked with interest.

The young girl's smile vanished, and she seriously said, "First of all, my backpack costs three thousand USD, and both my pants and coat are na brands. Adding the necklace and earrings, your coat, and leather boots, it easily exceeds a hundred thousand yuan."

Pausing, the young girl continued, "So, his insight was obviously much sharper than Brother Long's. He realized we could afford such nice clothes, aning we must be rich or important, and causing trouble for us would bring him a lot of problems, so naturally, he ca to apologize."

"Who knew, you've got quite the smart little head," Xiao Feng instinctively reached to pat her head but quickly rembered the buns and put his hand down.

"I'm not finished yet," the young girl pouted, giggling, "I know a lot more."

Xiao Feng smiled, "Go on."

"Well... I know if I'm full, I'm not hungry, if I've had enough sleep, I'm not tired, if I can't win, I run, and if I can't out-talk, I leave," the young girl boasted proudly.
