The onlookers' attention shifted as Zhao Xingfeng and others arrived.
The man lying on the ground with his face covered in blood grabbed Zhao Xingfeng's hand, shaking it repeatedly, posing entirely as a victim.
"So you're saying you weren't hit by the car?" Zhao Xingfeng pulled his hand from the man's grasp, frowning as he asked.
The man wiped his tears, pitifully said, "No, I'm just afraid that the people in the car will run away, so I lay in front of the car. Officer, believe , I'm not faking it, everyone here can testify for ."
Zhao Xingfeng suddenly took an interest, having heard Xiao Feng say earlier that the crowd could testify for him; now the self-proclaid "victim" claid the sa, sothing was definitely off.

Xiao Feng imdiately turned to Zhao Xingfeng: "Officer, you heard it, he admitted he has issues and knocked out his own teeth."
Zhao Xingfeng set down his notebook and said to the man, "We'll investigate the situation before comnting further. For now, we'll take you to the hospital; any objections?"
"What if they run away?" The man pointed at Xiao Feng as he asked.
Just then, a policeman ca over: "Captain Zhao, we've spoken with the on-site witnesses; no one from the bus never exited the vehicle..."
He paused, turning his gaze to the man on the ground, his eyes filled with clear skepticism.
"Have you anything else to say?" Zhao Xingfeng asked the man with a sympathetic tone.
He knew that Xiao Feng, if intent on framing the man, could make it appear as if no one left the car, without any repercussions; an investigation would find nothing.
"Impossible!" The man suddenly beca agitated, pointing at a man in the front row: "Ask him; he saw soone from the bus hit ."
"Him?" Zhao Xingfeng followed the direction of the man's finger, seeing a pot-bellied middle-aged man, and beckoned, "Could you co over, please?"
The middle-aged man seed sowhat nervous, wanting to escape, but the crowd behind him made evasion impossible, forcing him to reluctantly cross the police line.
"Officer, there's nothing to do with here."
Zhao Xingfeng stood up and saluted: "Don't worry, just need you to cooperate, answer a few questions."
A policeman beside him said sternly, "Though it's just an inquiry, please answer truthfully; fabricating or misleading the police carries legal consequences."
The middle-aged man imdiately promised, "Don't worry, I'll speak honestly."
"This gentleman says you saw soone from the bus attack him; is that true?" Zhao Xingfeng asked.
"This..." The middle-aged man looked uneasy, "I didn't see clearly."
"You can't say that, buddy; that's not what you said before." The man on the ground sprang up in anger: "You're the one who said soone from the bus threw sothing at ."
The middle-aged man imdiately shifted responsibility: "That's not correct; I just said 'seems like.' Even if I said soone from the bus hit you, I never told you to lie under the wheels; there's no bla on ."
Seeing them about to argue, the young policeman beside Zhao Xingfeng frowned and interrupted, "Stop!"
"I almost understand; you're saying you can't confirm this gentleman's teeth have anything to do with the bus people, right?" The young officer confird with the middle-aged man.
"Yes." The middle-aged man nodded quickly.
Then the young officer looked at the man with the knocked-out teeth: "Do you have any evidence that soone from the bus knocked out your teeth?"
"Evidence? My teeth are gone; what more is needed?" The man hopped in anger, seemingly on the verge of madness.
"Calm down. If there's no evidence proving your teeth and the bus people are connected, we can't punish them.
Conversely, due to your nonsense, the bus passengers can sue you for false accusations. Please consider carefully before speaking." The young officer said with a businesslike tone.
"I'm clearly the victim; why should they sue ?" The man grabbed the young officer's collar, "Is this how you handle cases?"
The young officer remained unfazed, "Mind your conduct; any further excessive behavior will be seen as assaulting an officer, and I have the right to take asures."
Zhao Xingfeng walked to the side; the matter was no longer in suspense. Without evidence, Xiao Feng's group was innocent, and even if evidence were found, due to the ties between his own director and Xiao Feng, there'd unlikely be a serious conviction.
This might sound harsh, but reality often is; Zhao Xingfeng believed if Xiao Feng did resort to violence, there must have been a reason.
