Now reading: Chapter 381: Clay Figurines from The Magnificent Son-in-law, a Action novel by Rain sounds during the hours of midnight.

The night in Jiuyou Town seems even livelier than the dayti. Standing at the street corner and looking out, the entire street is brightly lit.

Tourists brush past each other, and the noise is endless. Apart from the pharmacy that was ordered to rectify due to selling fake dicine, which now stands dark and discordant, everywhere else exudes a lively atmosphere.

"Today seems to be the temple fair that happens once a month; I checked it online when I ca." The young girl said happily.

"Is the temple fair held at night?" Xiao Feng said in astonishnt, "I've never heard of that."

"Oh, whether it's day or night doesn't matter, let's go see the acrobatics first." The young girl was eager to go.

Xiao Feng nodded and led the way toward the crossroads ahead.

Along the way, the young girl was almost buying everything she saw, making sure everyone got so, and her mouth never stopped.

This kind of spending spree delighted the vendors on both sides, who looked at the young girl as if seeing the God of Wealth, unable to be more enthusiastic.

"Miss, you look so pretty, how about getting a clay figurine?" A lady who looked to be in her fifties greeted.

"Sure, I also have so friends who will co later, make one for each of them too." The young girl readily agreed.

The lady's face imdiately blossod with smiles: "Alright, alright, I'll give you a discount!"

With that, she started busying herself.

The young girl seed to think of sothing suddenly, her face blushing as she leaned over to the lady's ear and whispered sothing.

The lady was montarily taken aback, then readily agreed, patting her chest and promising, "No problem, with my skills, this is a piece of cake."

Xiao Feng asked curiously, "What did you just whisper to that lady?"

"It's a secret, I can't tell you," the young girl teasingly said, her little hands behind her back as she looked up at the sky.

"Then can you tell what Su Yuzhuo said to you earlier?" Xiao Feng changed his question.

"It seems you care a lot about her?" The young girl's eyes changed.

Xiao Feng was speechless: "I'm just worried she might trap you in so sche."

"Tch!" The young girl scoffed, "What sche could possibly escape my wise eyes?"

Damn!

Xiao Feng found it both funny and frustrating, is it really appropriate to keep praising oneself like this?

"But, if you really want to know, it's not like I can't tell you..." The young girl glanced at Xiao Feng beside her, intentionally keeping him in suspense.

"What's the condition, just say it," Xiao Feng got straight to the point.

The young girl giggled: "It's simple, you just can't send back before the Spring Festival, and you have to help fend off my grandpa and parents."

"Isn't that a bit much?" Xiao Feng hesitated.

The young girl's face changed imdiately, and she said aggrievedly, "Brother Xiao Feng, do you really dislike having around?"

Before Xiao Feng could reply, she nodded to herself, "It must be, with around, always watching you, not letting you fool around, anyone would probably get annoyed and want to kick away."

"Ha..." Xiao Feng was dumbfounded: "Now you're asking and answering yourself? When did I say I don't like having you around?"

"Then why won't you agree to help with my grandpa and parents?"

"What I an is, they are your family after all, the people who love you most in the world. It's not right for you to keep drifting outside and not going ho, plus you have school to attend."

The young girl realized, "So that's what you ant, Brother Xiao Feng? Does that an you're willing to let stay with you?"

Xiao Feng's eyelids twitched, suddenly feeling like he might have been trapped, but he still nodded.

"That's settled then! As long as Brother Xiao Feng doesn't mind having around." The young girl smiled foolishly but soon put on a troubled expression: "School is so dull, everyone around seems slow-witted, being with them makes feel like my IQ is plumting."

"..." Xiao Feng was left speechless, having no response to that.

Although the young girl's words were harsh, they were true.

The students at school haven't gone through the hardships of society, so their thinking is sowhat naive, which is a stage most people go through.

The young girl is an exception, which is closely tied to her family environnt and personal experiences.

Not to ntion, just on the way ho from school, she has encountered assaults countless tis, which ordinary people might never experience in a lifeti.

So, even though she looks like a teenager, her ntal age is far beyond her peers, like a primary school student attending kindergarten, only finding those around her childish and ridiculous.

"Brother Xiao Feng, how about I find a way to get expelled from school?" The young girl eagerly suggested, as if seriously considering it.

"Forget it, even if you don't want to go to school, there's no need to go to such lengths," Xiao Feng firmly stopped her.

"Actually... it's not like I don't want to go to school, if I could study dostically, I might reluctantly accept it. If Brother Xiao Feng were to take to and from school every day, that would be perfect."

At this point, the young girl couldn't help but show a look of longing.

"Stop!" Xiao Feng brought the topic back: "Let's focus on what Su Yuzhuo actually said to you that day."

"You haven't agreed to my condition yet." The young girl said puffed-up with anger.

Xiao Feng frowned, this girl is getting more and more impudent, seems like he needs to show her he ans business.

"I'll call your family right now and have you brought back ASAP, so you won't keep negotiating with ."

The young girl panicked at once: "Brother Xiao Feng, that's so unfair, I ca all this way to find you, you can't do this to ."

"So, are you going to tell or what?"

"I'll tell, I'll tell, okay!"

The young girl stomped her foot, looking dispirited: "She just told that as long as I agree, she would tell about your ti in Devil's Concentration Camp."

"Is it that simple?"

"It's that simple." The young girl shrugged her hands: "In that situation, everyone agreed, I couldn't disagree either, just went along with it."

At this mont, the lady at the stall spoke up, "Miss, co see if these are okay."

She handed the young girl a pair of clay figurines.

The clay figures were dressed in ancient style, one male and one female, generally leaning toward cartoonish, looking very cute.

The male wore a light blue outfit, holding a fan, looking elegant, and his brows bore a seven-to-eight-point resemblance to Xiao Feng, a similarity not in appearance but in aura.

As for the female, there was no doubt it was the young girl herself, wearing a lake green long dress, with gentle and charming features. Together, the two clay figures had a literary couple vibe when placed side by side.
