Now reading: Chapter 569: A Coincidence Occurred from The Magnificent Son-in-law, a Action novel by Rain sounds during the hours of midnight.

After scolding his son, the old man with the cane glared at Xiao Feng and Zhao Guo'an, angrily saying, "You two, shouldn't we avoid wasting everyone's ti here?"

Judging by the old man's expression and tone, the implication was clear: You don't have the qualifications to enter, so scram quickly!

The young girl couldn't stand the old man's sarcastic attitude and imdiately retorted angrily, "Don't think that wearing a gold chain and having a crowd of people around you makes you so great. Today, I'll show you how we can get in."

After saying that, she strode briskly towards the temple gate.

Hui Yi naturally did not obstruct her, smiling and nodding at the young girl, allowing them to pass.

The old man was slightly stunned; at his age, he was shrewder than a fox, and imdiately realized that Xiao Feng and others were likely not ordinary people.

Of course, maybe they knew soone in the temple.

But regardless, it wasn't worth making a big deal out of such a small matter.

"Let's go," Xiao Feng called out, leading the group straight into the temple gate.

"Old Xiao, we should have greeted Hui Yi and directly revoked these people's entry qualifications to sha them severely," Zhao Guo'an said indignantly.

Zhao Guo'an had been annoyed by Bi Junxian calling him "brother" and wanted to incite Xiao Feng to vent his frustration.

If Xiao Feng targeted these people, it was almost certain that Bi Junxian and his group would have a bleak outco.

Xiao Feng chuckled lightly, "No need for that. They're here to participate in the auction, and at auctions, it's all about who has more money, you get what I an?"

"Are you suggesting... we settle the score at the auction?" Zhao Guo'an hesitated, "It's doable, but the cost is a bit high."

If the relics were genuine, Zhao Guo'an felt spending money was acceptable, but earlier at the entrance, Hui Yi had already made it clear that the relics in this auction were likely fake.

Paying a fortune for fake goods just to vent frustration?

Zhao Guo'an felt this idea was foolish. If he really did it, it would beco a part of history, with the young girl bringing it up constantly.

Just then, a familiar voice sounded from not far away, "What brings you here too?"

Everyone looked towards the source of the voice, and saw a woman dressed in a denim jacket, denim pants, and a pair of Martin boots, happily walking towards them.

"Jinghan sis, why are you here?" The young girl ran to greet her.

Zhen Jinghan, arm in arm with the young girl, explained, "I received a sudden notice from the company; they said there's an event invitation in Jiuyou Town. I had so free ti, so I ca over to check it out."

After speaking, she looked at Zhao Guo'an nervously, "You... won't bla for not telling you first, will you?"

"I won't," Zhao Guo'an laughed casually, "I didn't tell you in advance either."

Just as he finished speaking, he felt sothing bump into his back.

Turning around, he saw a shiny bald head carrying a Baxianguo table on its shoulder.

At that mont, the monk seed to snap awake and quickly apologized, "Sorry, respected guest, I was distracted just now and accidentally bumped into you. I hope for your forgiveness."

The monk was very aware that everyone in the temple was of significant wealth or status, the kind he couldn't afford to offend, so his attitude was more cautious than usual.

"It's fine," Zhao Guo'an waved to indicate it was okay.

The bump wasn't hard, and given the monk's attitude, if he quibbled, it would appear petty.

The monk secretly exhaled in relief, nodded, and prepared to leave, puzzled: What was I thinking just now?

It's a common situation, like when you're trying to rember sothing one mont but forget it completely the next, and then sohow rember it again minutes later.

However, that's not the point.

The point is that while the monk was puzzled, distracted by his wondering, his hand slipped, and the table on his shoulder fell directly, hitting Zhao Guo'an's foot.

"Ah!"

Zhao Guo'an scread, having never expected the monk to pull such a sudden maneuver after apologizing.

The monk's face turned ashen, truly in trouble this ti!

Right away, he bowed deeply and apologized, looking greatly distressed and fearful.

People around were drawn in, unsure of what had happened.

Just as Zhao Guo'an was about to question the monk's actions, Xiao Feng leaned in and whispered, "Maybe your earlier words hurt Zhen Jinghan, and thus, a 'coincidence' occurred."

Zhao Guo'an was montarily stunned, then realized Xiao Feng referred to his words: I didn't tell you in advance either.

Driven by the desire to survive, he couldn't care about the monk who had apologized.

Zhao Guo'an hurriedly explained to Zhen Jinghan, who had approached with concern, "I ca here without knowing about the auction beforehand, and I didn't get an invitation, so I couldn't tell you in advance."

Zhen Jinghan seed not to notice, still concerned, "Is your foot alright?"

"No, please listen to ," Zhao Guo'an insisted, "I didn't tell you I'd co here; it's not because I wanted to hide it from you intentionally."

Zhen Jinghan kept her concern, "Does it hurt?"

"Are you listening to ?"

"Should we go to the hospital?"

"..." Zhao Guo'an.

This darn conversation wasn't even on the sa wavelength.

The young girl, unable to watch any longer, pulled Zhen Jinghan aside and explained, "Old Zhao just said he didn't an to hide he was coming here."

Zhen Jinghan looked puzzled, "What's the problem with coming here? It's not like it's an indecent place."

But even though she said that, she felt sweet inside, and her earlier dissatisfaction dissipated.

"Old Zhao, you have it tough," Xiao Feng said, patting Zhao Guo'an's shoulder, feeling empathetic.

Initially, everyone sympathized with Zhen Jinghan, such a nice woman experiencing misfortune, losing husbands twice at a young age, and bearing the stigma of being unfavorable.

But now it seed, the real ones deserving of sympathy were not Zhen Jinghan, but those wealthy CEOs who died prematurely.

"Dong... dong... dong..."

Three long, resonant bell tolls interrupted those curious to get closer for a look.

An elder monk in a robe stepped out of the main hall, clasped his hands together, and said, "Amitabha, it's our great honor to welco so many distinguished guests today. Please move to the hall, where I will personally bless you."

Upon these words, the wealthy guests abandoned their curiosity and smilingly headed towards the main hall, among them, Bi Junxian.

Just before entering the main hall, this rich young heir with a gold chain shot a fierce glare at Xiao Feng and Zhao Guo'an.

Especially when he saw Zhao Guo'an crouching with a pained expression, his gaze showed a touch of schadenfreude.
