Now reading: Chapter 657: The 30-Year-Old Aunt from The Magnificent Son-in-law, a Action novel by Rain sounds during the hours of midnight.

Near dawn, Xiao Feng and Sun Shijie finally returned to the courtyard.

The Sun Family's ancestral treasure had been successfully transported to the foot of the mountain.

Xiao Feng instructed the semi-trailer and driver to stand by on-site and ordered the Martial Monks to take turns keeping watch in pairs.

After all, such a vast fortune would tempt even good people; it's just not feasible without soone keeping guard.

Qian Dajiang offered to provide manpower for free to help watch over the goods on the truck, but Xiao Feng politely declined.

It wasn't that he distrusted the others' character, but that too many people could easily lead to unforeseen events; two Martial Monks watching over two drivers and the cargo were just enough.

Gazing at Sun Shijie, who had been staring at the invoice with his head down the whole way, Xiao Feng called out: "Co on, stop looking. That's just the price you pay for high-tech nowadays.

They initially asked for three million. I had to pull strings and speak well of them to slash it down to two million."

Sun Shijie looked completely skeptical, clearly not buying Xiao Feng's story.

Previously, he had never been as sensitive to money as he was now.

But he couldn't afford not to be sensitive now.

Sun Shijie felt that if he didn't beco more vigilant, the Sun Family's possessions might all end up with the surna Xiao.

Pushing open the main door, Xiao Feng was greeted with the sight of an already damaged courtyard now thoroughly wrecked.

Broken floor tiles, pierced pillars, and roof tiles shattered into several pieces on the ground.

If the landlord saw this ss, they'd probably pass out on the spot.

Right then, Xiao Feng furrowed his brows and turned his face, full of disdain, toward Sun Shijie.

He realized that the other person was looking at him with the sa expression.

"Wasn't it you?" Xiao Feng asked.

"I thought it was you," Sun Shijie grumbled.

The two scrutinized each other, reluctantly accepting that neither of them was the source of the fart.

Strangely enough, the sll seed even more potent inside.

Especially those five faint yellowish marks leading from the door to the window; the closer they moved, the stronger the scent beca.

Xiao Feng and Sun Shijie exchanged a glance, both feeling an indescribable sense of surprise.

The damage to the courtyard had been anticipated, but where was that thick "fart sll" coming from?

As they walked quickly inside, Xiao Feng imdiately spotted Hua Ling sitting on a chair, her bandaged arms laid flat on the table.

"Brother Xiao Feng, you're back at last!" The little girl exclaid in excitent as usual.

Xiao Feng ignored her and instead stared at Hua Ling, asking uncertainly, "Fractured bones?"

"Yes," Hua Ling replied blandly.

"You..."

Xiao Feng tried hard to put on a sorrowful expression but ultimately failed, bursting into laughter instead: "Pfft! Hahaha, you have your day too!"

If Su Yuzhuo were here, he'd find this scene all too familiar.

Back in the hospital, Xiao Feng had laughed out loud the sa way and was scolded by Hao Xingfang.

However, Hua Ling remained calm, saying with indifference, "Laugh while you can."

At this mont, the little girl ca over and pulled Xiao Feng aside, whispering: "Brother Xiao Feng, did that little flower girl really beat you up a few days ago?"

Xiao Feng's eyes sharply turned to Zhao Guo'an, revealing a hint of murderous intent.

Zhao Guo'an shrugged helplessly and explained: "Old Xiao, you can't bla for this. The main party involved ca knocking herself; there's no way to hide it."

"No problem," Xiao Feng said magnanimously, "Just be careful on your way back. Don't end up lying naked on the car roof for photos because people praise your fairness."

"..." Zhao Guo'an.

Clearly a threat, a naked threat, but on the surface, it could be taken as concern.

Xiao Feng sat down across from Hua Ling, raising an eyebrow: "Weren't you here to challenge ? Are we going to fight or not? If not, it's getting late; you should just head back, rinse off, and hit the sack."

Everyone was speechless, thinking only that Xiao Feng's shalessness was growing.

"Old Xiao, she's a teen; with a broken arm no less. Do you think she can still brawl with you?" Zhao Guo'an whispered.

Xiao Feng shot him a disdainful look, thinking that this guy had been getting a bit too cheeky lately.

Was he the one getting carried away, or was Xiao Feng losing his edge?

Just then, Lu Yao walked in with a bowl of freshly brewed herbal dicine, placing it in front of Hua Ling: "Drink this; it should help you recover faster."

"Thanks!" Hua Ling gave a sweet smile, then awkwardly glanced at her hands.

Lu Yao imdiately realized, "I'll feed you."

"You're so good to . Can I call you Sister Lu Yao from now on?" Hua Ling bit her lip lightly as if fearful that Lu Yao might refuse.

She wasn't saying it just to be polite; Hua Ling genuinely felt Lu Yao was a good person.

Before, when the fan-wielding assailant attacked her, it was Lu Yao who first warned her; whether she needed it or not, good deeds should be rembered.

And now, Lu Yao was taking care of her while she was injured. Apart from her senior brother, no one had ever done this for her before.

In Hua Ling's eyes, besides the little girl, Lu Yao, and Lin Zhiyan, among others, were all good people.

However, before Lu Yao could respond, the little girl pulled her over, asking, "Sister Lu Yao, don't you love anymore?"

"..." Lu Yao.

She didn't quite know how to respond, but she could clearly tell that the little girl was jealous.

This left Lu Yao feeling a bit helpless. Is feeding soone dicine really sothing to get riled up over?

The little girl quickly strode over to her bedside, took a yogurt bottle from her backpack, detached the straw from the box, and stuck it into the dicine bowl in front of Hua Ling, saying unkindly: "Drink it yourself. 'My Sister Lu Yao' is not serving anyone."

In saying "My Sister Lu Yao," the little girl's tone was especially assertive, as if she were declaring her territory.

Hua Ling rolled her eyes: "Auntie, you're over thirty years old. Stop pretending to be young, okay? Though I have to admit you don't look it, your age is an undeniable fact.

You're in your thirties, calling people ten or even over ten years younger than you brother and sister; don't you feel embarrassed at all?"

"Is there sothing wrong with your brain or are your eyes failing?" the little girl erupted, "You believe just because I said I'm thirty?"

Hua Ling nodded earnestly, "Of course, I believe you're telling the truth."

The little girl couldn't take it any longer, rolling up her sleeves and shouting, "Don't stop ; I'm going to teach this brat a lesson on how to behave today."

"You?" Hua Ling scoffed, "Even without using my hands, I could knock you out for a month just with my feet."

"Stop talking and prove it. Let's take it outside right now."

"Fine!"

The little girl yanked open the door, took two steps outside, then hastily backtracked three steps, looking at Zhao Guo'an: "Old Zhao, aren't you into this kind of stuff? Quickly suck all the sll out; it's unbearable!"
