After a while, Nie Longjiao eventually took out her phone.

Despite being utterly unwilling, she had no choice but to suppress all her dissatisfaction for a mont.

Because leaving the matter unfinished outright, she thought the person in front of her, who was showing the paynt code, wouldn't hesitate to do so.

Just as she was about to scan the code, Xiao Feng retracted his phone and said with a smile, "Just joking with you, don't take it seriously."

After saying that, he walked towards the entrance.

Nie Longjiao quickly caught up to him, gritting her teeth in anger.

She could swear that Xiao Feng was the most infuriating person she had ever t.

Queuing, checking tickets, passing security, they went through the process smoothly and boarded the train.

Xiao Feng sat by the window, plugged in his earphones, and started listening to music, anwhile moving one earphone towards Nie Longjiao's ear beside him.

Nie Longjiao's face turned red, her body leaned back, instinctively showing a refusal.

"From now on, we're getting into character, I'm your boyfriend, rember this, got it?" Xiao Feng said softly at a slow pace, sounding quite convincing.

"Okay." Nie Longjiao agreed but didn't let Xiao Feng put the earphone on her; instead, she took it and put it on herself.

What Xiao Feng played was not high-profile pop songs but light music played by an acoustic guitar.

The sound was crisp and bright, the lody was pleasant and lodious, with an overall soothing style.

The train started moving, the "clack clack" sounds gradually echoing.

Xiao Feng glanced at Nie Longjiao beside him and smiled, "If you want to sleep later, my shoulder is available."

"Is there a charge?"

"What do you think?"

"I slept well last night." Nie Longjiao said expressionlessly.

The dialogue between the two drew attention from a couple who looked like lovers opposite them, though they seed uninterested in starting a conversation.

In movies, there are often scenes of train passengers having lively chats with those opposite them.

But in reality, such things rarely happen.

It's fate to sit face-to-face, but everyone is busy; no one wants to waste ti on useless social interactions like this.

As Xiao Feng watched the scenery flash by outside the window, he suddenly said, "One yuan."

"What one yuan?" Nie Longjiao wondered.

"You've been using my earphones, listening to music for 10 minutes, one di per minute, isn't 10 minutes one yuan?"

"You charge for this?" Nie Longjiao said in surprise, "You didn't say in advance."

Xiao Feng said earnestly, "There's no free lunch in the world, similarly, there's no free music listening; do I need to explain such a simple truth?"

"I won't listen, okay?" Nie Longjiao took off the earphones, frowned, and said.

Xiao Feng nodded, "Alright, but hand over the one yuan first."

"You're dreaming!" Nie Longjiao said angrily, "You should have said so in advance."

After speaking, she turned her head away, grumbling in her heart.

At that mont, a middle-aged man with a thermos passed through the aisle, seemingly going for hot water.

Nie Longjiao originally didn't pay much attention, but just as she was about to look away, she saw the man quickly take out a long strip wrapped in red cloth from an elderly woman's pocket who was nodding off.

Elderly people usually like to keep money wrapped this way.

The middle-aged man acted nonchalantly all along, seemingly not doing this for the first ti.

If she hadn't seen it, it would be fine, but since she did, Nie Longjiao felt she should intervene, as they were on the sa journey.

Thinking of this, she stood up, walked into the aisle, heading straight to the middle-aged man fetching water.

Once reaching, Nie Longjiao whispered, "Uncle, it's not easy for the elderly to save so money, better hand it back."

The middle-aged man clearly hesitated, then feigned ignorance, "I don't understand what you're talking about, what to give back?"

"I just saw you take money from soone's pocket, are you still denying it?" Nie Longjiao said sternly.

"Nonsense!" The middle-aged man said angrily, "What evidence do you have to accuse of stealing? I warn you, don't talk without evidence."

Nie Longjiao shook her head and sighed, "Since you won't return it, I can only return it for you."

After saying this, she turned and walked back to the carriage.

When she reached the elderly woman's side whose money was stolen, she paused, patted the old woman's shoulder, and said, "Granny, is this what you lost?"

While speaking, she shook the red long strip.

Waking up, the elderly woman was startled, hurriedly said, "It's mine, it's mine, thank you so much, dear.

My grandson started college, this is the living expenses I prepared for him, if it's lost, I really don't know what to do."

"Keep it well, don't lose it again," Nie Longjiao advised.

The elderly woman nodded repeatedly, already planning to go to the toilet later and stash the money in her waistband, so she wouldn't lose it.

At this mont, the middle-aged man who witnessed everything was nearly stupefied.

He just couldn't figure out how the money wrapped in red cloth disappeared from him.

"Clang!"

The thermos cup slipped from his hand, spilling the hot water on his foot.

"Ah!" The man cried out in pain, hurriedly taking off his shoes and socks, gasping continuously.

Nie Longjiao glanced at him, and amidst the old woman's ceaseless gratitude, returned to her seat.

"Well done!" Xiao Feng praised.

"Your praise doesn't cost money, right?" Nie Longjiao asked vigilantly.

Xiao Feng imdiately laughed, "If you're willing to pay, I don't mind."

Nie Longjiao felt a bit paranoid now; Xiao Feng's every move, every word, even every expression gave her a sense of being charged.

Though the fees weren't much, they just wouldn't stop coming!

At this mont, the middle-aged man ca over with a grim face, looked at Nie Longjiao, and said, "Return the wallet to !"

"What wallet?" Nie Longjiao feigned confusion.

"Stop pretending, alright?" the middle-aged man said sullenly, "If you don't return my wallet now, I'll find the train police."

Nie Longjiao shrugged indifferently, "I don't know what you're talking about; by the way, I advise you to say less if you have no evidence, otherwise you're slandering.

Slandering also breaks the law, understand?"

"You!"

The middle-aged man's forehead veins throbbed in anger, the very words he just said now being used against him.

Frustration, anger, and annoyance were his true feelings at this mont.

And the surrounding passengers all wore the look of spectators.

Many witnessed the scene of Nie Longjiao returning the money to the old woman, but how did the do-gooder beco a wallet thief?
