Now reading: Chapter 833: Ji Liangcai's Motive from The Magnificent Son-in-law, a Action novel by Rain sounds during the hours of midnight.

Xiao Feng imdiately understood, thought for a mont, and decided to help out this rather bizarre character next to him.

He took out his phone, opened the browser, searched for the Simplified Chinese Union Version of the Bible, found Revelation Chapter 13, Verse 18, and then read it quietly.

After Ji Liangcai listened, he began to challenge: "As a priest, not being able to recite the Bible completely is already your biggest dereliction of duty.

Let ask all of you here, if a monk cannot recite prayers, would you consider him a qualified monk?"

Hearing this, Xiao Feng wanted to stand up and answer: whether soone is a monk or not is actually separate from whether they can recite prayers.

He himself had eighteen monks under him who couldn't recite scriptures; not only that, they could even recite "Love Transactions" as if it were scripture, would you believe it?

But Ru Huiyi and the other brothers were actually among the very few monks who did recite scriptures.

Judging from the reactions of those present, it was clear that they sowhat agreed with Ji Liangcai's skepticism.

Johnny, flushed, said: "You ask if I can recite it, can you recite it yourself?"

Already prepared for this question, Ji Liangcai, unfazed, said, "Yes, I can. Listen up.

Revelation Chapter 13, Verse 18 states,

'This calls for wisdom—let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.'

Johnny widened his eyes, completely not expecting that Ji Liangcai could actually recite it.

Of course, what he didn't expect even more was that the real powerhouse was Xiao Feng.

If it weren't for Xiao Feng helping to find the information, Ji Liangcai would have been at a loss just now.

After holding back for a while, Johnny said defiantly, "It's no big deal if you can answer your own question. If you have the guts, let ask and you answer."

"Sure," Ji Liangcai said nonchalantly, "Ask anything."

Johnny opened the Bible in his hand, flipped to a random page, and asked, "First Samuel Chapter 16, Verse 21—what does it say?"

Ji Liangcai did not answer imdiately, and indeed couldn't answer at all. He could only hope Brother Xiao next to him would quickly tell him the answer.

Before long, Xiao Feng, trying not to move his lips, whispered the answer very quietly.

Thanks to the setting, at least no one jeered loudly.

Otherwise, with such a low voice and so many eyes watching, Xiao Feng couldn't have passed the answer without arousing everyone's suspicion.

"Well? Can't answer, can you?" Johnny said with schadenfreude.

Ji Liangcai chuckled lightly, "Listen up, David ca to Saul and entered Saul's service. Saul liked him very much, and David beca one of his armor-bearers."

Johnny's eyes showed shock. He looked down at the Bible text, then at Ji Liangcai, and instinctively exclaid, "How is this possible?!"

"Admit it, little brother—or rather, I should call you Mr. John Knicks," Ji Liangcai said with a victor's smile. "You're just an impostor priest."

After speaking, he turned to Xu Chun and Chen Chunxia, saying, "Mr. Xu, Ms. Chen, if possible, I would be willing to take on the role of priest for this church.

I'm confident you've just witnessed my professional capabilities."

Hearing this, Xiao Feng finally understood what this guy's real purpose was.

It turns out he wanted to get rid of the foreign priest and take over himself.

The bystanders also showed expressions of realization. No wonder this strange guy raised objections—it was all about competing for interests?

"I swear before the 'Lord,' I don't even know who John Knicks is! He's the real fraud!" Johnny shouted.

Ji Liangcai sneered, "If what you're saying is true, then you should be even more ashad. As a genuine priest, how can your professional capabilities be inferior to a fraud, and yet you shalessly continue to stick around?"

"You—!" Johnny was imdiately infuriated.

At this point, Chen Chunxia spoke up, "Alright, Mr. Johnny, do you really think he answered your question due to professional capability?"

"What do you an?"

"I think you should ask the person next to him," Chen Chunxia said in a peculiar tone.

Everyone's gaze in the room imdiately shifted to Xiao Feng.

There were only three people in the last row, and Xiao Feng was the closest next to Ji Liangcai.

"Damn it, does this woman have sharp eyes or what?" Ji Liangcai cursed inwardly, but quickly stabilized his expression to hide his guilt.

After a mont, Ji Liangcai explained, "Ms. Chen, you are mistaken; we don't know each other at all."

Chen Chunxia snorted coldly, clenched her right hand into a fist, slamd it on the podium, and with a ferocious expression said, "I don't care whether you know each other or not.

To tell you all the truth, the purpose of inviting you today isn't for the opening ceremony but for judgnt!

To judge you for the cris you've committed!"

Boom!

The whole room instantly erupted; many people were already standing up.

However, before anyone could speak, the tightly closed doors were pushed open, and a total of thirty people rushed in, divided into two teams, each with a assault rifle hung on their chest.

"Ah!"

So timid won couldn't help but scream loudly at this point.

Those who tried to run out were scared back by the gun barrels.

"Hahahahaha!" Behind the podium, Chen Chunxia laughed loudly.

The laughter was transmitted through the microphone to the ceiling speakers, echoing throughout the entire floor, giving people a feeling of unease.

"I remind you, don't think about escaping; whoever runs dies!" Chen Chunxia said viciously.

Bang!

The door was slamd shut, but compared to last ti, the mood of everyone present was clearly different.

"Ms. Chen, we're neighbors. Over the years, we've had no enmity or resentnt, so why are you doing this?" a man in a suit, looking like a successful person, asked sternly.

"No enmity or resentnt?" Xu Chun said angrily, "I've checked the surveillance. On the day my son was kidnapped, everyone present saw that scum, so why didn't you call the security guard?"

Everyone was fuming mad. This was clearly unreasonable.

Criminals don't walk around with signs on their faces. Who the hell could tell at a glance who's going to commit a cri next?

However, faced with the dark barrels, no one dared to stand up and curse loudly, or even criticize; they could only try to reason calmly.

"We understand your feelings; we are all parents and none of us would want such a thing to happen, but you can't place such anger on innocent people."

"As the saying goes, 'a distant relative can't compare to a close neighbor.' Is there nothing we can discuss without resorting to this?"

"Mr. Xu, please calm down. Your son's death has nothing directly to do with us."

Chen Chunxia took a deep breath: "True, so let's first find out the person who does have a direct connection."

After speaking, her gaze locked onto Xiao Feng.
