In fact, Xiao Feng never had high hopes for Brother Lei.
After all, the two spheres were given to Hua Ling by the old Abbot, and it's normal for ordinary people not to recognize them.
The reason for such excitent was because Brother Lei felt the balls for half an hour with his eyes closed, then said "maybe they're not antiques," which was sowhat hard to accept.
"Follow ."
Brother Lei called out, leading the way to the bathroom.
Xiao Feng followed him, seeing him open the door, then move aside the washing machine in the corner. A half-ter-high steel door erged into view.
Next, Brother Lei reached under the washing machine to search around. When he pulled his hand out, there was a key in it.
Opening the locked steel door, Brother Lei bent over and went inside.
Xiao Feng hesitated for a mont, then stepped back a few ters, got a running start, and dove straight forward, crawling through the half-ter-high door with a speed several tis faster than bending and entering.
The space inside was not small, far larger than the bathroom, and the ceiling height was the sa as the bathroom.
The entire back wall was occupied by wooden shelves with several uniquely shaped antiques, presumably Brother Lei's collection.
Xiao Feng glanced around before his eyes landed on Brother Lei, standing by the door holding a machete.
He propped himself up on one hand, lying sideways on the ground, swinging another as he smiled, "Were you surprised at how quickly I got inside?"
Brother Lei clenched the machete in his hand again and shouted angrily, "Don't bla ! You forced into this!"
With that, he imdiately swung the machete at Xiao Feng.
Having seen his underlings' tragic state earlier, he knew Xiao Feng probably knew so martial arts.
So, taking the initiative before Xiao Feng could get up was the best plan.
However, just because the strategy was right didn't an it would succeed.
Xiao Feng twisted his body, supported himself with his hands, and kicked a flying kick right to Brother Lei's chin.
"Crunch!"
The sound of teeth colliding beca incredibly clear at that mont.
"Ah!"
Brother Lei scread and fell, the machete slipping from his grip as a spray of blood from his mouth stained a large area of the ceiling, casting shadows in the room.
"Pop! Pop!"
Two front teeth shot out of Brother Lei's mouth, starkly visible against the red backdrop.
Xiao Feng stood up slowly, dusted off his clothes, and asked, "How does it taste?"
Brother Lei's body trembled uncontrollably, his mind buzzing as he gasped for air.
After a mont, he finally responded, his voice hoarse, "I accept my loss."
"It doesn't matter if you accept it or not, you're already at a loss." Xiao Feng said blandly, "I'm interested in your supposed solution.
You said you had a solution – was it just an excuse to draw here?
Or do you really have a way?"
Brother Lei hesitated for a mont, wiped the blood from his mouth, and said, "I'll do my best."
With that, he struggled to climb up, leaned against the wall, and moved to a table covered with a large gray cloth in the corner.
Removing the cloth revealed a microscope.
Xiao Feng glanced at Brother Lei's bloodied face, slightly surprised he had gotten his hands on so high-tech equipnt.
After wiping his hands and face with so wet tissues, Brother Lei signaled for Xiao Feng to give him the golden sphere and placed it on the observation platform.
It was apparent that Brother Lei's microscope was quite advanced, with a display screen beside it to directly view the surface of the observed object.
With the magnification continuously increasing, the screen's image kept advancing and changing.
Two minutes later, Xiao Feng and Brother Lei both inhaled sharply.
"Hiss..."
The two exchanged glances, both incredulous at the image on the screen!
"These... look like words?" Brother Lei said in disbelief.
Xiao Feng ignored Brother Lei's shock and asked, "What's the magnification now?"
"One hundred tis."
"Keep magnifying."
"Okay."
Before long, the magnification reached one hundred fifty tis, and the characters on the sphere beca clear.
"This is Sanskrit!" Brother Lei asserted, "According to the Buddhist Family, this script was created by the guardian god Brahma, hence the na Sanskrit."
"What do the words an?" Xiao Feng asked.
"Uh..." Brother Lei looked embarrassed, "I only know the script but can't translate it."
Xiao Feng didn't dwell on the matter, pulling out his phone and said, "Then photograph all the words, and I'll find a translator who knows Sanskrit."
Upon hearing this, Brother Lei almost wanted to cry, saying with a bitter face, "That's impossible, because there are too many words on it.
For example, this sphere is like an image, and what we see are just a few words, roughly one ten-thousandth.
In other words, to capture everything, you'd need to take ten thousand photos, which wouldn't be quick."
Xiao Feng furrowed his brow, thought for a mont, then compromised, saying, "Then just take a dozen shots to figure out what they say first."
Brother Lei agreed, operating the device to help capture the photos.
After the photos were taken, Xiao Feng retrieved the golden sphere, and expressionlessly said, "Five million, and I'll leave right away!"
"Cough... cough, cough, cough!"
Brother Lei coughed violently, almost tearful, said, "I really don't have that kind of money; you see all these antiques feel like a lot.
But they aren't valuable; the most expensive one wouldn't exceed two hundred thousand.
If you don't believe that, take them all. I'd have no problem with that!"
"I don't understand antiques, nor am I interested in studying them," Xiao Feng shrugged, "I've nad my price. Whether you can pay it isn't my business."
Brother Lei almost cried, "I really can't co up with five million!"
As soon as the words fell, there was a "clang" sound.
A tile from the wall fell off, shattered into several pieces.
And behind that tile, a small white pearl the size of a pinky nail lay still.
From the angle, the light shouldn't reach much.
But the inside of the wall lacked any shadows.
Clearly, it was a luminous pearl.
Xiao Feng looked at Brother Lei, "How about I take it, and you don't have to give five million?"
"No!" Brother Lei imdiately refused, "I'll give you five million!"
With that, he pounced like a hungry wolf on the luminous pearl, holding it tight, afraid Xiao Feng might snatch it away.
"This luminous pearl is a family heirloom, the most valuable in my collection, but it's not worth five million. I keep it for sentintal reasons." Brother Lei explained.
Xiao Feng couldn't help but chuckle, "Are you taking for a fool in terms of market value?
Nevermind!
You pay, I'll leave.
My only good quality is that I'm not greedy; whatever you have is yours, I only want what's mine."
Brother Lei was furious, almost fainting, but obediently paid, fearing Xiao Feng might demolish the wall and cost him far more than five million.
