As the carriage left the Capital City, I ran a hand through my hair.

I could see the capital's massive gates closing with a heavy roar.

I hadn't done much, but looking back, it had been a rather eventful trip to the capital.

Robin's marriage proposal was a success, I got to engage in so female knight play with Sieri—albeit incomplete—and a fucking awful rumor that I was an adulterer spread among the capital's noble families.

Of course, no one made an accusation that I was an adulterer, so I wouldn't be impeached or receive any corporal punishnt for this case. But even the King, who I thought would be on my side forever, chided to "be discreet in his private life," so my image in the Royal Capital was probably similar to that of an elf ruffian.

It seed AA and Erina had amicably resolved things between themselves since then. It was none of my business what the two did in bed at night, but just imagining the sight of them performing foreplay on each other's genitals sent strength to my lower body.

To add so definite seasoning to my imagination, I had tried to bid farewell to AA and Erina before leaving. But I couldn't et them, as they had both rushed back to their kingdom. I had no idea why they returned, but I could only pray they take good care of their recuperation until we t again.

Since I would be entering the Elf Kingdom's dungeon, we would be eting soon enough.

Sieri was sound asleep next to with her head hung low, an aftereffect of last night's fierce sexual intercourse. I stroked Sieri's knee. Sieri's knees were soft and white, making them fun to touch. If I lifted her skirt and kept touching them, they would eventually turn red, or Sieri would wake up and start bickering with .

After kneading Sieri's knee like modeling clay for a while, I looked out the window. Outside the window, Robin was staring into empty space, grinning foolishly like a dumb character from a cody movie.

"Robin."

"Ah, yes!"

Robin answered with sharp discipline, but he couldn't erase the blooming smile from his face. I had no intention of scolding a man like that. Though, it would be a different story if he kept this up after we entered the territory.

"You're in that good of a mood?"

"Yes, I am! My gratitude to you, My Lord! And thank you again!"

"I'm glad. However, as much as I've made this effort, you, Robin, must also do your best as a knight of the Peta Family. Do you understand?"

"Yes! I understand!"

Robin shouted thunderously. Hearing Robin's voice spread far and wide made feel good, too.

No accidents occurred on the way back from the capital. There were so incidents, like a band of thieves appearing and offering up their necks, or a suicidal street robber pressing his face against my mace, but other than that, nothing special happened. With every incident, I comforted Sieri, who prayed for the dead, and I also encouraged Robin, who diligently acted as my combat assistant and escort every ti.

By the ti our journey was more than halfway over, I, Robin, and Sieri were all restless and fidgety. We had been away from our territory for quite so ti, so we wanted to return as soon as possible. Every ti we passed through a territory, Sieri would stamp her feet impatiently. Then, when her eyes t mine, she would smile awkwardly and say this.

"You want to go back quickly too, don't you, My Lord?"

"Of course, Sieri."

I said, stroking Sieri's head. Sieri would then burrow into my body like a puppy and rub her face against my chest. Then she would hug and fall quietly asleep, and I too would lean against Sieri and fall into a deep sleep. And then.

"Faaaaith!"

"What, what the fuck!"

A strange scream ca from sowhere. It was clearly coming from the middle of the road. The carriage stopped, and Robin was staring straight ahead with a rather dumbfounded expression. Sieri had also been jolted awake and was looking around.

"What is it, Robin?"

I asked Robin, trying to suppress my annoyance from being woken up. Just as Robin was about to answer, a second shout was heard.

"Hooooope!"

"No, what the fuck is this."

Unable to take it anymore, I got out of the carriage. I figured it would be easier to see for myself rather than get an explanation from Robin. What I saw when I stepped out of the carriage was a truly bizarre sight. Dozens of people were encircling a single bald man, and the man standing in the middle was wearing a priest's robe and shouting.

"Loooove!"

As the final shout ended, the people who had been forming a circle around the man prostrated themselves on the ground and began to chant.

"Faith! Hope! Love! Faith! Hope! Love! Faith! Hope! Love!"

What is this? What in the fucking bullshit act are they doing? I turned my head and looked down the road. Over there, the territory guards were milling about with very troubled expressions, holding their spears. A quick glance told it wasn't our guard outpost. I asked Robin.

"Robin. Where are we right now?"

"We've just entered the Delmon Territory border."

Delmon Territory. It was our direct neighbor, the place where the blonde, tanned, chubby lord used to be. We were now in front of its outpost, and before it, dozens of people were displaying fanatical movents for a single priest.

The priest's robe was not that of the Archdeity Church. The attire itself was similar to the priest's robes we wore, but its color and design were seriously bizarre. It was dyed entirely pink, and a large red heart was drawn on the back. The word LOVE was written in the center of the heart, giving it the feel of a sign you'd see at a motel.

"Excuse ."

I spoke to the priest at their center. The other believers, lost in a crucible of fervor, didn't seem like they would listen. The bald priest heard my voice and lifted his head as if waking from a sleep. He wore a leisurely smile, as if he hadn't just been giving a sermon of madness, and asked .

"What is it, Brother."

"Brother?"

"Are you not a priest of the Archdeity Church? Our Church of Love is a brother religion to the Archdeity Church."

"Is that so?"

I thought it was just a religion famous in the Eastern Region, but it seed its foundation was surprisingly deep. I asked.

"So, what are you doing here?"

"It seems things will be easier now that you've arrived, Sir Priest. Faaaaith!"

"Faaaaith!"

The priest, in the middle of talking, suddenly threw up his hand and had a seizure. The crowd scread in ti with the priest's voice. I was so startled that I stepped back for a mont and grabbed the mace from the carriage. The priest didn't seem to feel any threat, even as I drew my mace.

"Do not be afraid, Sir Priest. We embrace all with faith, hope, and love. We are mbers of the Church of Love, who oppose the slavery system, and we are on our way to et My Lord Peta Lusius, who is most exemplary in his opposition to slavery, but the Delmon Territory will not open its gates. So we were offering a prayer in front of it."

"You were offering a prayer?"

"Yes. That is correct. We were praying to God to grant us a path. Hooooope!"

"Hooooope!"

Once again, the priest threw up his hand and shouted. I pondered. If I tell these guys that I'm Peta Lusius, the Southern High Priest of the Archdeity Church and the Lord of Peta Territory, won't they go fucking berserk, saying God answered their prayers? Rather than let these bastards into my territory, wouldn't it be better to just make a clean cut here and be on my way? I was lost in thought.

"Would you please help us? They won't listen at all, no matter how much we tell them we are peaceful people."

If these guys didn't move, we couldn't pass either. And seeing what they were doing now, it didn't seem like they would move aside nicely. I said.

"The Delmon Territory actively utilizes the slavery system, so they have no choice but to refuse entry to the Church of Love. You should just go back."

"Oh dear, but we absolutely must et My Lord Peta Lusius, the savior of other species and a philanthropist who loves even rmaids and beastfolk with a broad heart."

I stopped deliberating right there. It was better for to watch these bastards go crazy by myself. I had no idea what kind of commotion would erupt if these guys made it to my territory. I said.

"Then there is even less reason for you to go. Because I am Peta Lusius."

"What?"

The priest seed to have finally noticed my elf-like pointy ears and the emblem on the carriage. His eyes widened as he looked back and forth between , Robin, and the carriage, then scanned the crowd surrounding him. Then he knelt and shouted.

"Loooove!"

"Loooove!"

"God has granted our prayer! Faaaaith!"

"Faaaaith!"

"Calm down, Sir Priest. May I ask what business brings you here?"

As I said that, I checked the priest's stat window. If he had a trait like 'Madman' or 'Lunatic,' I was planning to smash his head right in.

"Is sothing wrong?"

I looked into the priest's eyes again. I asked.

"Sir Priest. Where did you say you were affiliated with?"

"I am affiliated with the Church of Love."

"I see. And you said you wanted to et . I have heard of the Church of Love's reputation myself. While its doctrine seems slightly different from the Archdeity Church's, it has a... a charm that harmonizes in a subtle way."

"Yes. That's right. You know it well. Hooooope!"

"Hooooope!"

"Sir Priest. I would personally like to invite you to my mansion, but our territory is small, so I cannot provide lodging for such a large number of believers. Even I cannot pass through another's territory leading this many personnel."

"I see. In that case..."

"Yes. I would be grateful if you would have them disperse."

"Understood. Everyone! Disperse! Until we et again, do not forget the three slogans! Faith, Hope, Love!"

At the priest's single command, the crowd scattered like dust. As people disappeared in all directions, I looked around and stalled for a mont. The priest asked.

"What is it?"

I decided to answer with my mace.

Clang!

With a light sound, the bald priest collapsed. Just like a bald bastard with no hair, the feeling of impact was excellent. I'll cast Bless on him later and hit him again.

I planned to drag this priest bastard away and shake him down completely.
