Ye Mo took a leap and fell straight down from the big tree, attracting the attention of more than ten Long Ard Ape Monkeys who were gnawing away at pieces of human corpse.
The monkeys have reached the Energy Shaping Second Realm, and their intelligence were comparable to humans. t with soone who slled weaker than them, the instinctive response was to turn on the offensive and make Ye Mo their next al.
Ye Mo’s arrival did not startle them whatsoever. One of the larger monkeys let out a few ferocious roars, which was enough to rile up the other monkeys who started waving their arms around aggressively towards Ye Mo. They were speaking in an unintelligible language, but every word was filled with nace and provocation.
Encountering Ye Mo, who was in the Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm, the Energy Shaping Second Realm monkeys were less than impressed.
“Vile creatures!”
Facing the provocation from the group of Long Ard Ape Monkeys, Ye Mo let out a harsh roar and charged towards them at a rapid speed.
The group of monkeys, seemingly understanding Ye Mo’s words, charged towards him as well, furiously screaming as they smacked their long arms against the ground, causing shockwaves across the land. As the whole area started to tremble, gigantic rocks began to fall from the hills and mountains around them. The monkeys grabbed the rocks with both arms and hurled them at Ye Mo’s direction.
“What frightening power!”
Ye Mo turned to the oncoming boulder. With his blood spear in one hand, a stab in mid-air was all it took for the giant rock to imdiately disintegrate to dust.
One of the Long Ard Ape Monkey was not expecting Ye Mo to crush the rocks in such an effortless fashion, and before it even had ti to be enraged, it saw a giant ice-blue long spear rise from behind Ye Mo. The long spear sent out a devastating wave of chills; the surrounding tall trees and bushes froze instantly.
Soon, it was the monkeys’ turn to experience the overpowering power of the cold. This bone-piercing cold was sothing that not even their Energy Shaping Second Realm powers could defend against. Shards of crystal-ice spears shot out from behind Ye Mo, and what followed was a collective scream of pain and agony–Ye Mo had shot down all of them.
Roar!
The monkeys were completely furious now, with the largest one in particular looking like it was ready for a violent rampage. It sprinted forward a few strides before leaping high into the air, with energy gathered above its shoulders taking the shape of two giant arms with mountain-sized palms. A single clap of the palms together engulfed the atmosphere around Ye Mo.
Ye Mo evaded the attack thanks to his high agility, and when he found himself next to the largest monkey, he stabbed his blood spear through the seemingly impenetrable skin of the monkey. Filled with bitterness about its defeat, the wounded animal’s body collapsed on the ground.
The other wounded monkeys saw what happened and scurried away in fear to make their escape.
But Ye Mo was not planning on sparing their lives. More spears shot out, with every single one landing on a crucial area–their waists, their four limbs, and their heads.
Ye Mo finished off all the monkeys in a matter of a few breaths’ ti. The ground was covered with corpses–so monkey, so human.
Cleaning up the battlefield in lightning speed, Ye Mo collected 15 level two Earth elent Heart-stones and 7 union passes and put them away inside his Dinsional Bracelet.
After digging a few holes to bury the alliance mbers’ corpse, Ye Mo did not even allow his body a mont of rest before climbing up the tall tree again and sprinting into the distance again.
As Ye Mo left the scene, a huge Long Ard Ape Monkey climbed its way through the trees. It was nearly 30 feet tall, its fur a glistening gold color. It was evidently the king of the apes. The Monkey King saw what had happened and let out a furious roar.
The soundwave of his roar disturbed his surroundings. All the birds in nearby trees flew off in fear.
“What a frightening roar. If I am correct, this roar sounded like it was from the king of the forest–the king of the Long Ard Ape Monkeys, who belongs in the Energy Shaping Third Realm. Legend has it that there were four different monkey species in existence. First, the Intelligent Stone Monkey–adaptable, intelligent and highly skilful. Second, the Red Bottod Horse Monkey, which confronts different situations with different attitudes, understands the concept of relations, and is an escaper of deadly situations. Third, the Long Ard Ape Monkey–highly efficient and competent, unfazed by challenges, leader amongst others. Finally, the Six Eared Macaque–observant, wise, highly analytical, and a know-it-all. The Long Ard Ape Monkey is one of the four legendary monkeys, a magnificent creature like no other.”
The impact of the frightening roar was shocking to Yun Shan, who was dashing through the forest.
“Who knew that the early rumors about a Long Ard Ape Monkey King living in the Unbreakable Mountain were true? I wonder what made the Monkey King so agitated.”
As he wondered to himself, he followed the direction of where the roar ca from, and soon after, before his eyes was a giant Long Ard Ape Monkey holding so bodies of the other monkeys in his arm, trudging away.
“I knew it! Soone must have killed those monkeys and incurred the wrath of the king.”
“It must have been soone with frighteningly powerful abilities to have killed all those stupid monkeys. I don’t even think I myself could have done it.”
As he spoke, his attention was drawn to the blood stains on the ground. He stored so of the monkeys’ bloody residue in a small bottle. “Long Ard Ape Monkeys–they are able to differentiate good and evil. The Monkey King’s intelligence is no less than that of a human. If I can get so of this blood onto Ye Mo’s body, it will attract the Monkey King towards him. Then, his only fate will be death. Saves the trouble too.”
“Ye Mo, you have only yourself to bla for offending Ye Changsheng. Ye Changsheng was hand-picked by the Union Chief who even passed down his martial arts techniques to him and made him his disciple. Offending him is as good as asking to die.”
Ye Mo was unaware of all of this. After killing those monkeys, he was in search of stronger monsters but was unable to find one that was suitable for him to practice on.
“These monsters may be aggressive and powerful, but they are ultimately lacking in intelligence. They are not opponents that I can go all out on and unleash the potential inside of . Reaching the Energy Shaping Realm is an extrely important process, and I must be better prepared.”
After taking a breather, Ye Mo decided not to venture deeper anymore, and went back towards where he ca from. On his way, he saw Zheng Sanmu and Yang Jiaosu.
These two people were of lowly skill, and having learnt their lesson, they did not dare to make any movents, hiding within a big arc-shaped tree. Ye Mo would never have found them had they not called out to him.
“Our savior, we can never repay you for saving our lives. From now on, your wish is our command. Feel free to instruct us to do anything,” Zheng Sanmu said gratefully.
“Haha, it was a small matter, do not worry about it. Both of you have to train hard. In the Qingyun League, they focus on a warrior’s gifts.”
As Ye Mo spoke, he started to move away towards a certain direction. Zheng Sanmu and Yang Jiaosu followed, and as they looked at Ye Mo’s rather thin fra from behind, they promised that they were going to repay him soday.
“There is soone behind you!”
They had not gone far before a manic laughter was heard from behind from.
“I finally found you, Zheng Sanmu. Today, you will die by my hands right here, and when I enter the Qingyun League, the Yang family will have to accept the marriage proposal from my Sun family, and Su Su will be mine!”
