The Blood Lord's eyes widened with shock as he failed to consider this possibility.

"This is a man who cured death," Rui reminded him. "I know for a fact he can create clones."

They created clones with the sa genetic materials so that there was minimal possibility for rejection, although the Divine Doctor preferred to alter his appearance to avoid being recognized when he traveled the world.

"With unconscious and non-sentient clones, you can have multiple incubators simultaneously, allowing you to overco the constraints of a single person. On top of that, you don't have one point of failure," Rui continued. "If the Blood Goddess dies, then everything is over. But with this thod, you have no single point of failure."

The Blood Lord fell into thought as he realized the sheer rit of what Rui was espousing. It was indeed just a much superior alternative to the current system of having them rely on the Blood Goddess herself.

"Of course, the Divine Doctor is an exclusive partnership with us in exchange for exclusive access to our resources," Rui replied. "This ans this deal only grows through because of or my father. Which ans we have a stake. So we get a piece of the pie."

The Blood Lord narrowed his eyes. "…What do you want?"

"Half the eggs," Rui replied calmly. "And a coordinated plan for the spreading of her genes through human civilization with the Kandrian Empire and the Blood Cult."

The Blood Lord stirred at his words.

It was less than ideal.

But… it was the best path of this ss.

Although he was unwilling to part with Blood Goddess no matter what, the truth was that he did fear the Kandrian Empire and the Virodhabhasa Theocracy. If there was a way he could hold on to her blood and reproduction, then he would go with it to avoid destruction.

On top of that, as Rui had ntioned, this path wasn't even worse. It was actually better than constantly relying on inseminating and impregnating one person, which took far too long to produce the necessary heirs with her blood.

"…You want to take all my eggs?" A revolted voice escaped the Blood Goddess.

Rui shifted his pitch-black eyes towards her.

"Would you rather stay here and continue being a baby factory for the rest of your life? For many centuries to co?"

Chills crawled down her spine.

"I'm offering you freedom," Rui continued with a composed tone. "Even if you successfully escaped and joined the Kandrian Empire, you would constantly be a target from the Blood Cult. You've seen how stubborn this fellow is."

Rui gestured to the Blood Lord, still imrsed in thought.

"He would never let you go," Rui's words left no room for doubt. "You would be living in suffocating political protection for the rest of your life. And do you think your political protection would be free?"

Rui scoffed. "Don't be naive. My father is more humane than pretty much any other ruler, but he is not necessarily kind. You would have to birth heirs in exchange for political protection. Your fate is sealed as long as you have any reproductive capabilities whatsoever. But…"

Rui directed a pointed gaze at her. "My solution will free you. Once your ovules and stem cells are extracted, you yourself will no longer be needed or of any value for your reproduction since you will have lost it. You can actually live a life without fear of being hunted down or living an existence birthing more heirs. You can travel the world, live as you please, do as you please—"

He paused as tears started streaming down her face uncontrollably.

They gushed.

Like a river that had been held back for too long and couldn't be held back any longer.

"Eh…?" she watched her own tears stream down her face and into her hands. "I… I will be free?"

Rui nodded. "If you accept my deal, of course. If not, you will remain here for the rest of your life."

"I accept!" her voice grew desperate. "I accept that offer!"

Rui turned back to the Blood Lord, who heaved a deep breath and gazed at Rui with grudging respect. "Your proposition is anable. The Blood Goddess will be set free. I expect you to extract her eggs and send us half, along with the promised incubator clones. I will only trust you with her because of your reputation. And your father's reputation."

Rui heaved a sigh of relief inwardly while the Blood Goddess broke down crying with pained relief while Amare comforted her with an empathetic and compassionate expression.

The little episode had co to an end.

Rui hadn't expected this to happen during his visit to the Blood Cult, but it was a good thing that it did.

He simply didn't trust the Blood Cult to handle an asset like the Blood Goddess properly. Thus, by removing her from the equation and involving the Kandrian Empire, he could be certain that nothing would go wrong.

The mont his father would get involved, he knew that he had nothing to worry about. On top of that, it was good that they managed to set the Blood Goddess free, even if he didn't like her very much.

"Thank… Thank you." She managed to squeeze out in between her breakdowns. "I didn't do this for you," he scoffed lightly. "I haven't forgotten what you tried to do to . If you want to thank anyone, thank Amare. She's the only reason that this ca to be."

The Blood Goddess couldn't stop expressing her gratitude to Amare, who simply smiled at the happy conclusion.

"Next ti, give a heads up," Rui grumbled at Amare. "Coming up with a solution then and there is difficult, you know?"

She smiled at him with pleased delight. "And yet you succeeded anyway. Thank you for indulging my selfishness."

It was actually the opposite of selfishness.

He heaved a sigh. "Thank you for intervening for when she attacked. I was right to trust you and your words."

Her smile deepened.

"You're welco!"

And thus, the little episode ca to a ssy but favorable conclusion.
