Of course, it was still unsafe for the Blood Goddess to leave the Blood Cult without Rui.
Even if she was a peak Master, her body was so pricelessly precious that any nation would happily deploy Sages to hunt her down and bring her back to endless birth heirs as she had until now.
It was only with Rui's trendous political power and protection that she could affort to step outside, even if it was still a secret for the mont.
And yet, Rui wasn't concerned about her for the mont. She was probably a wreck psychologically, but she had Amare for emotional support.
More importantly—
Rui's eyes lit up with fascination. "Finally, the bloodwhirler treatnt."
"Try not to lose your mind," the Blood Lord offered. "Once comnced, you will be paralyzed and I won't know even if you want to leave. You won't be able to activate your Martial Heart, and thus not your Martial Mind either. So this treatnt will not cede until your Body has reached its limit on a biochemical level."
Rui nodded.
The plant before him was particularly large.
As large as a small building.
He gazed at the jaws the carnivorous flora plant. A carnivorous set of teeth aligned the mouth of its pouch-like body. It would swallow its prey and then keep milking them of blood, and bone marrow, regenerating and healing its prey for as long as possible.
And yet, Rui didn't experience even the slightest bit of fear at the agony that he was going to endure.
He had experienced too much to be moved by sothing of this caliber.
"Let's begin."
The Blood Lord nodded. "Offer yourself to the plant. Do not resist."
Rui sky-walked up to the mouth.
The carnivorous plant sniffed at him for a mont.
And then—
SNAP!
In the blink of an eye, it swallowed him up.
He was drowned in pitch-black darkness in the uncomfortable internal fluids of the plant while several vine like tentacles wrapped around his body, piercing his body in multiple parts of his body.
Extraordinary pangs of pain pierced through his body as the organic plant tissue dug into his body and even drilled into his bones to access the marrow within it while it began pumping potent drugs into his body to paralyze him and leave his mind in a hazy state.
And then, it began.
An extraodinary wave of pain washed over his entire Body as he suffered through unimaginable agony. The kind that would break the mind of any sane person.
And yet, he simply gritted his teeth and weathered it.
He could feel what was happening inside even as the plant tried to dull his extraordinary consciousness and failed.
He could feel the endless recurring waves of bone marrow destruction and regeneration.
Only the most healthiest of tissue survived each round.
And each round it regenerated a more active and powerful bone marrow that led to healthier blood replacing the consud blood.
A set of tentacles were attached to his mouth and nose, giving him air and sustenance, allowing to get what he needed to survive and regenerate.
Very soon, he began losing track of ti.
He was imrsed in endless darkness with an endlessly recurring set of sensations that didn't indicate the passage of ti. It was the uncertainty of not knowing how much ti had passed since then that truly put pressure on mind and the psyche. It was this that drove people insane, more than the pain itself.
Minutes, hours, days, and even weeks passed.
He remained curled up in a fetal position as the carnivorous plant rcilessly sucked up his blood and bone marrow juicily while he simply allowed it to, entirely conscious as not even the powerful drugs that the plant injected him with was enough to knock him out. And yet, even amid the pain, he could feel himself growing stronger and stronger.
His Body felt more alive than it ever had.
A surge of oxygen and power drove itself across the entirety of his Body, allowing him to experience a tabolic output unlike anything he had ever imagined.
For a mont, he felt tempted to try gamind to see how much the evolved blood could improve his brain function.
He was sure that his cognitive function would reach uncharted territories.
After all, cognition was an ergent property of the brain's neural network that was constrained by material requirents. The greater the oxygen supply and waste managent of the lymphic system, the greater the power that he would gain.
anwhile, the Blood Lord simply waited as he inspected the progress of the Dawnbringer without ever leaving his side.
He himself had taken up the duty of watching over the prince to ensure that there was no chance of anything going wrong.
If sothing happened to him amid this process, the Blood Cult would be destroyed by the wrath of the Kandrian Empire and the Virodhabhasa Theocracy.
And yet, as he watched the Dawnbringer grow stronger and stronger, he broke into a cold sweat.
With each passing day, the Dawnbringer grew stronger and stronger, reaching truly uncharted territories within the the Master Realm. He grew stronger and stronger as the very foundation of his Martial Body improved.
The Blood Lord's instincts tingled excitedly.
They tingled nervously.
"The day he discovers his Martial Soul…" A whisper escaped. "Is the day this world will change forever."
He would achieve a kind of power imdiately upon entry the likes of which would be absolutely unprecedented in the history of the Age of Martial Art.
Its consequences would shake the entirety of the Martial World.
The Blood Lord could feel this truth in the depths of his bone.
He feared the Dawnbringer.
He feared what he would be capable of when he entered the Sage Realm.
He feared the power that he would co to possess.
And yet, an excited smile cracked at the edge of his mouth.
"Show the future, Dawnbringer," his voice grew profoundly moved. "Show what the future holds for this entire world!"
