"We must comnce the Solution of Harmony imdiately."
Emperor Rael's powerful voice drew attention within the conference hall as he leaned forward on the table with steepled fingers. His golden eyes sharpened intensely as his sweeping gaze spread across his fellow powerhouse leaders.
"We cannot delay this any longer."
His tone conveyed the severity of the situation that they were in. "I concur," Pri Minister Edward seconded him with a solemn tone. "We must deploy the Sages to the epicenter of the Beast Domain at this very mont."
The Britannian Empire, being the closest to the Beast Domain, had been battered by the Beast Incursion thoroughly in the past four years. No other nation had been ravaged by the Beast Incursion the way that the Britannians had been. It was no wonder that Pri Minister Edward had been eager to comnce the Solution of Harmony.
The dark bags under his eyes reflected the sheer amount of stress he had been dealing with serving as the vanguard of human civilization in East Panama against the Beast Incursion.
Several nods spread across the table as many powerhouse leaders were in favor of comncing the Solution of Harmony imdiately.
However, there were so leaders who weren't in favor of this haste.
"…Not all nations have had access to the solutions of the two pillars of the Era of Darkness for long," the Patriarch of the Namgung Family, Jinryong Namgung, sharpened his eyes. "The Namgung Dynasty has only recently received the breakthroughs and Hellbringer Model. We haven't had the ti to master it the way that many other nations in the world have had."
They weren't the only ones with this objection.
"The Marinaera Kingdom is also not in favor of comncing the departure of Martial Sages imdiately for precisely that reason." King Kukulkan narrowed his eyes. "You cannot expect us to be as prepared to beco Sage-independent despite not even having co into possession of these solutions for a whole month."
"The Council of Elders of the Hive unilaterally rejects this call as well," the leaders of the Hive sternly pushed back. "We are not nearly as equipped yet to comnce the Solution of Harmony."
Not all leaders took this rejection well. "Your cowardice may be the downfall of all of human civilization." The Martial Pontifex's tone was sharp. "Your excessive cautions and paranoia will allow for quasi-Transcendents to erge from the Beast Domain and storm the Human Domain. It will lead to the destruction of all of human civilization."
"I am in concurrence with the leader of the Theocracy." Queen Lianiala piercing golden gaze weighed on the three dissenting powerhouses. "The fate of all human civilization is not sothing that can be toyed with."
"That is easy for you to say when you have had the solutions of the Dawnbringer for more than a year now," Sage Jinryong Namgung's heavy voice hardened with anger. "You have undoubtedly absorbed his solutions and are able to apply them better. We have not. Thus, we are unable to deploy our Sages away."
"And what if another quasi-Transcendent erges from the Beast Domain?" Patriarch Shinken's voice was intense. "What if all of them decide to erge? Let remind you that the original prophecy ntioned that they would erge from the Beast Domain in five years. We know that things have accelerated since then. Which ans…"
His expression crumpled with severity, "…we truly do not have much ti left."
"What you are effectively asking us for is to take on greater risk so that the world does not suffer," King Kukulkan sharpened his gaze. "And my simple question is…"
He directed a sweeping gaze across the other leaders as his eyes fell on the Emperor of Harmony, "…why should we? Why should we take on greater risk and suffer for the sake of the world? What about us?"
"You're not the only person to have very recently received the Hellbringer Model," President Raymond remarked with a frosty tone. "The Heaven Sect also received the Hellbringer Model just a little prior to you, and you don't see the Elder making a fuss like you do."
President Raymond had managed to get re-elected just a few months prior as his rival President Alia had lost a lot of approval from the voter base of the Republic of Gorteau upon the calamity of the Abyssal Dragon. Her pacifist policies had allowed for a lot of harm to co upon the Republic of Gorteau, which Raymond had successfully used against her, becoming re-elected as President for his third term.
He gestured at the silent but dignified Elder Diana of the Heaven Sect who appeared content simply watching the unfolding debate.
"That is because the Heaven Sect is more inherently secure due to geographic reasons," the Elder of the Hive Council coldly retorted. "We do not have that advantage. Not to ntion, while the Elder of the Heaven Sect has deferred to push back against the Solution of the Emperor of Harmony."
"We do not lean either way," Elder Diana calmly remarked. "I am willing to defer to the consensus on this particular matter."
"…I am able to empathize with the circumstances of the recalcitrant parties," the Consul of the Nest of Terra tried diating. "I do think that it is unreasonable to expect them to have mastered the solutions of the Dawnbringer easily and soon. However, the reality of the matter is that your nations will suffer even more when all the quasi-Transcendents join the attack on human civilization."
"…This is especially true with the destruction of the Gu."
The eerie voice of the hooded Blood Lord drew attention across the table.
Several leaders sharpened their eyes with wariness. The Blood Cult was one of the most taboo nations in the entire world, making a lot of polities at the table uncomfortable with its presence and participation. Many were surprised that the solitary and alienated powerhouse chose to partake in Solution of Harmony.
However, no one could deny Blood Lord Vrukshus' words.
"Do not regret the destruction of the Gu."
Bodhisattva Maitreyi spoke for the first ti in the eting with a lancholic voice.
One could even detect the tint of grief in her voice.
