2935 Unraveling chanics

"Does that an that the primordial seed only becos what it touches?" his eyebrows rose with piqued interest. He conjured an opaque barrier of heaven with a breathing technique as he hid the substance from all interactions in the environnt, warping the fabric of space, allowing it to float.

WHOOSH

The gust of air returned to its state of matter as the primordial seed.

"Interesting…" he murmured as the scientist in him grew curious. "So ordinary perception of it does not collapse the wave function, though more direct, interactive observation of it does collapse the quantum wave function of the primordial seed, and it ends up taking the form of whatever it's in contact with."

In that case, he was starting to have a better understanding of how the abyssfeeder functioned.

"…The creature must collect minute samples of countless substances within its body," Rui realized. "Then, using the direct observation thod to collapse the wave function of the primordial seed and having it in contact with whatever substance it wants more."

If that was the case, it displayed the sheer ingenuity of the abyssfeeder's adaptive evolution when it ca to leveraging the primordial seed. A stronger abyssfeeder would be a monster that had cultivated more primordial seed and a more diverse array of esoteric substances. "Fascinating," Rui murmured as his eyes lit up with faint interest. "In that case, I might be able to replicate this chanism."

Rui pictured a body entirely made up of primordial seed, one that entirely replicated what the forr compounds and nutrients comprising of his body did to sustain his life. It was not impossible for him to harness this strange form of matter to potentially replace his entire body.

Of course, just because it wasn't absolutely impossible didn't an it was anything short of the most difficult task that he had ever undertaken in his entire life.

Even he has to admit that this idea was beyond unfathomably difficult.

"I don't have to start with that," he noted. "I can start at a lower point and eventually build my way up there."

Of course, even this was extrely difficult. Even if he succeeded in placing samples of primordial seed in his body, he would need samples of other quasi-Transcendent substances in his body. Those added complications that would require him to go through a lengthy process of esoteric integration for each substance that he wanted to recreate in battle.

The fact that he only needed samples, no matter how small, was good, but at his stage of power, he needed samples of extrely powerful substances that were also equally toxic.

"I don't want to compromise my health."

He wanted sothing viable, which ant that each integration of substances in his body needed to be as thorough as the Gu integration had been. He had integrated the Gu in his body to such a thorough extent that he could no longer survive without it because his biochemistry and tabolism had co to depend on it. He would die of a monstrous cancerous overgrowth exploding his body without the Gu poison to keep it in check.

This level of integration had only been possible thanks to the Healing Fruit, of which they did not have an endless supply of.

"Then I should make the healing fruit one of the first samples," Rui mused. "That way, I can endlessly have it on for future integrations. But the issue is that the abyssfeeder was probably easier to heal than my body is."

It was strangely malleable and ductile, allowing it to restore itself after virtually any amount of deformation. So it was possible that he wouldn't be able to have the degree of healing that the abyssfeeder had.

"…It's manageable."

Rui's eyes grew intense as he pondered how he ought to know about these things.

"Rui?"

He stirred, breaking out of his reverie as Kane's voice finally reached him.

His gaze shifted to the various Martial Sages sitting about their jet in fresh Martial attires, gazing at him quizzically. "What?" Rui raised an eyebrow.

Kane heaved an exasperated sigh. "Were you listening to anything we just said?"

"Not at all." Rui shrugged unapologetically.

Project Water and adaptive evolution is more important than anything that they could possibly be talking about, as far as he was concerned.

"We were talking about our plans from this point on," Sage Zentra calmly inford him. "We will certainly indulge in our hard-earned peace and respite from war, but the fact of the matter is that we will eventually need to start working on the second mission…"

His tone grew more serious. "The elimination of the Beast That Roared, that is."

Rui heaved a deep breath as he fell into thought. "The absence of the pressure of ti is sothing we should exploit to the very fullest. By all estimates, the Beast That Roared is much more powerful than even the abyssfeeder and Jormungandr. It will most likely take all of us pooling our power together at our very best to slay this beast."

Sage Zentra nodded. "That is one of the reasons that we have avoided using the Healing Fruits that the Sekigahara Confederate has contributed to the war against the Central Highlands of the Beast Domain. We have preserved it for this very day."

"It was indeed a great decision in hindsight," Rui remarked. "The value of those fruits is only as high as the power of the opponent we use them against. I don't think we should rush to fight the Beast That Roared, we should strengthen ourselves as much as possible and ensure that we are our very peak, maybe even wait for the Kandrian Empire to send in so new Martial Sages that have broken through to recuperate our numbers. We should also plan out formations, simulate scenarios, and even train in them in hypnosis. This is the one ti where absolutely no stone should be left unturned."

They didn't have the luxury to not bring out their very best, thus Rui had absolutely no qualms being as rigorous and elaborate as possible.
