And yet, that wasn't all.

There was another, a third reason for this shocking turn of events, in addition to the Emperor of Harmony fooling them and exploiting their psychological changes.

It was the way that the Sage Knight spoke of the Kandrian Empire.

In the past, she used to hate this nation from the bottom of her heart.

She used to despise them, their philosophy, and their leader.

And yet, this ti, she spoke of them highly and expressed great trust in the Kandrians.

"…The Dawnbringer has made a great impact upon you in the past eleven years, I see." Pri Minister Edward's tone was grave.

"Not just the Dawnbringer," Sage Knight Vermilion continued with a knowing tone. "The other Martial Sages of the Kandrian Empire are extraordinary as well. While our death rate has just barely been replaced by the influx of new Martial Sages caused by an increasingly Martiallized human civilization, their numbers have increased vastly more than their death rate. And yet…"

She closed her eyes. "They never leveraged their numbers to try and dominate the task force of sages despite having fifty of them. They ensured that there was equal voice. Equal representation. And equal say. The leader of the group, the Dawnbringer was among the most extraordinary. He made us train in formations that harnessed our capabilities in the most systematic and extraordinary manner in the final battle against the eldritch chira and most importantly…"

She opened her eyes.

"He gave everything in his power to protect us while we attacked the eldritch chira."

The Britannian Pri Minister's expression crumpled with grave severity as he detected clear awe and admiration in her tone.

She truly looked up to the Dawnbringer despite being his enemy in the Great East Panamic War.

It was incomprehensible to the Pri Minister.

And yet she wasn't done.

"There was a point very early in the battle where we almost died despite the Fruits of Healing, which the Kandrians gave us for free, by the way," she continued. "However, we managed to survive because he single-handedly fought the eldritch chira with his extraordinary power, and drew all of its attention to himself and…"

Her gaze sharpened.

"Endured all of its attacks so that we wouldn't have to."

The Britannian Pri Minister simply gazed at her with a resigned expression.

"If the Kandrians only cared about themselves," she continued with a profound tone. "Then they would not have given us their fruits from the Sekigahara Mandate. The Dawnbringer would have allowed us to die in favor of killing the eldritch chira. But he didn't…"

She heaved a deep breath. "I am aware of the concerns of concentrating power in the Kandrian Empire. However, the Emperor of Harmony, Kandrians, and the Dawnbringer have proven themselves ti and ti again and are the best way of protecting human civilization."

The Britannian Pri Minister appeared listless, heaving a deep breath.

"There's nothing I can say that will change your mind, yes?"

Sage Knight Vermilion shook her head.

"You don't know anything."

She continued. "Anything about what we have seen and gone through. Sticking together under a powerful, competent, sincere leader of human civilization is the best way to protect human civilization from the threat of the true world."

BZZZT

The projection of Sage Knight Vermilion closed as the call ca to an end.

The Britannian Pri Minister slumped back in his chair with an expression of defeat.

Of all the tis that he had battled with the Emperor of Harmony, no defeat had been quite as humiliating as this one. The Emperor of Harmony has straightforwardly annexed the Martial Sages of the Britannian Empire and essentially gained control over their dispatch and allocation, no matter what the Sage Knight said.

Years of gruelling and brutal conflict had altered their psychology, making them extrely uncomfortable with being away from the group, lest they get ambushed and killed by quasi-Transcendent beasts and monsters. Over the span of eleven long years, the respect, admiration, and even awe that the Martial Sages of human civilization had co to garner for the Kandrian Empire was imnse, far more so than the Britannian Pri Minister.

These crucial elents had allowed the Emperor of Harmony to manipulate them into joining the Kandrian Empire as part of so Martial Insurance plan that would effectively make him Emperor of human civilization.

The more ti these Martial Sages spent in the Kandrian Empire, the more they would grow accustod to it, especially if it paid dividends in regards to their security. The Emperor of Harmony was more than competent and careful enough not to give them any reason to be upset, ensuring that all their nations were kept just safe enough to keep all complaints at the very bare minimum.

His only solace was that that wouldn't be easy.

Far away in the Kandrian Empire, the Emperor of Harmony finally had to face a problem that was inevitably going to blow up.

BAM!

"Sekigahara MANDATE?!" Sage Shinken roared, rushing into the Royal Office of the Kandrian Empire. "SEKIGAHARA MANDATE?"

His thin eyes sharpened with rage. "HOW DARE YOU ANNEX THE SEKIGAHARA CONFEDERATE?!"

He found himself glaring at a calm and composed Emperor of Harmony, seated opposite the leader of the Sages of the various Martial Sage groups that had co to reside in the Kandrian Empire.

The Emperor of Harmony simply gazed at him with an expectant look on his face and a knowing glint in his eyes.

"I did not annex it," the Emperor of Harmony replied in a calm tone. "It is not considered part of the territory of the Kandrian Empire—"

"IT's THE SA THING!" Sage Shinken roared. "CEASE YOUR CONTROL OF SEKIGAHARA OR I REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS INSURANCE PROGRAM!"

And thus, the Emperor of Harmony ca across his first impedint in his annexation of all Martial Sages in human civilization. He had known that the Martial Sages of the Sekigahara Confederate would be anything but happy by the revelation that the Sekigahara Confederate was now controlled and administrated by the Kandrian Empire.

If he didn't resolve this issue imdiately, cracks would form in his annexation of all power.

It would threaten the safety of human civilization as he protected it.
