The Martial Unity Chapter 3193: Bestowing Authority

Rui’s words were rooted in truth.

None of the leaders of human civilization were eager to re-engage in a conquest of territory within the continent. Part of it was, of course, that they couldn’t afford to divert resources away from war-building to the looming all-out world war.

But another part of it was that the leaders of human civilization were truly terrified of the consequences.

Even though the Beast Incursion could not happen without the Authority of Alpha, there was a popular sentint among not just the people, but also the leaders of human civilization that the Beast Incursion was karma for centuries of destruction of the Beast Domain.

And while there always were expansionists who sought to re-establish human civilization’s dominance on the continent once more, the political will to leave the beasts the hell alone was much greater.

Conquering the Beast Domain would an picking a fight with beasts, and human civilization was far too traumatized by the Beast Incursion. There was also the fact that beasts and monsters could beco part of the military power of the nation, as proven recently with Rui’s Beast Excursion.

"Rest assured that I will ensure that human civilization will not set one inch inwards," Rui promised. "Except for high-speed continental transport, I guess. We need to be able to shift Martial Artists across the continent as fast as possible, and that requires building a network of economic corridors."

The Elder Tree was more than anable to such reasonable needs. Human civilization is the protector of this continent from outsiders now. I can assure that most flora and fauna are willing to cooperate in a mutually beneficial relationship.

Rui smiled. "I’m glad to hear that. I will be needing your help in that regard. I may be the technical Emperor of the Beast Domain, but you are much more situated in a position to coordinate the Beast Domain and potentially even more. After all, your little offspring gave us a lot of trouble in the last few years of the Beast Incursion."

The Elder Tree expressed a pang of regret. I had not anticipated that outco when I montarily reproduced shortly before going to sleep. It was a miscalculation. I have recently ensured that my offspring is healed of the detrintal effects of the Eldritch Chira’s roar.

"It’s fine, it’s not its fault," Rui replied. "I was just surprised that there was more than one of your species."

I am of a hermaphroditic species, after all. I can reproduce autonomously. One of the reasons I have avoided doing so is that the maturation of mbers of my species takes centuries to occur, and the Beast Domain has been continuously being conquered by human civilization. I did not want my offspring to co into conflict with human civilization, the Elder Tree mused. Perhaps I ought to reproduce more now that I have gained your assurance of the protection of the Beast Domain.

"That would be very welco," Rui replied. "Your species is extrely useful and extrely powerful. We can use as many of you as we can get. For now, however, we have you and I need you to coordinate the beasts and monsters across the Beast Domain along with the humans when I’m gone."

This was Rui’s solution towards creating a more sophisticated mobilization of the beasts and monsters in the Beast Domain.

He recalled how the Beast Incursion had grown more intelligent in the later years of the Beast Domain, and given that that was just a sapling compared to the Elder Tree, he knew that he would be able to get a more powerful version from the OG itself.

I would be more than willing to serve in that capacity. Indeed, only when the Beast Domain and Human Domain fight alongside each other will they be able to protect this continent.

"Great," Rui replied. "Then there’s no need to delay with the bestowing of authority."

He took a deep breath as he activated his Realms of power.
