The revelation that Rui could just shut off their connection with nature at any ti he wanted was a shocking one. It shook not just the dark elves themselves, but also the Mothers of Nature, who watched the battle with surprise.
"This... This is dangerous. He is dangerous." One Mother of Nature imdiately realized. "This is a counter to sothing a lot more fundantal than just our manner of defense. He is undermining our bond with nature."
"If this counter system were spread, our security would be under great threat."
"We must find a solution for this imdiately. It is undoubtedly our highest priority."
"To think that a principle of electromagnetism could be employed in such a manner in real ti, the Martial Path appears to be truly flexible and versatile. Or perhaps it is just this Martial Artist in particular?"
"We don’t have enough data. But if the average Martial Artist is this resourceful, then this civilization must be even stronger than we anticipated."
"More importantly... he has obtained a weakness of ours that not even we knew existed, are we going to just let him leave this continent with it?"
The Mothers of Nature in the depths of the Genoran Flora Network grew silent with severity.
"...Even this, he is doing in good faith," Mother Pruschilia remarked. "As was said before, it is better we learn of this weakness in such a circumstance than in the midst of war."
Many Mothers of Nature agreed with this sentint.
"They have entrusted us with their prince, and thus far, he has been helpful and friendly. They are our guests, we must not forget that," another Mother of Nature echoed within the depths of the Genoran Flora Network.
However, not all Mothers were satisfied with that alone.
"Even if he is our guest, that doesn’t an he is the guest of the light elves."
The air grew heavy at those words.
"I wonder what the light elves think of his display of power and his adaptive evolution against our power?"
"This..."
It couldn’t be denied that they would undoubtedly be extrely displeased by what they were seeing. The light elves disdained outsiders and were generally quite antisocial and insular.
"On top of that, this outsider reeks of death and illness. He is revolting to our senses. What do you think the light elves are going to do against a man who is revolting to their senses and holds the key to elven downfall?"
"What... what are you suggesting?"
"I’m saying that even if we do not take care of the threat he represents to us, the light elves will undoubtedly target him."

The more they thought about it, the likelier it seed.
The light elves attacked any outsider who dared to set foot on their border and did so with all the spirit and vigor that anybody could muster. What would they do against a threat that they perceived as existential, that also appeared to be saturated with death?
They didn’t even need to consider it.
"They will not tolerate the existence of such a being. In fact, just his existence alone would be enough to get the light elves to hate him forever, but the fact that he also harbors the key to our downfall is not sothing that they can excuse."
"There is also the fact that an alliance with human civilization is out of question for the light elves, which ans that there can be no guarantees. They will simply assu that human civilization is their enemy. They may even consider us to be an enemy if we harbor and protect him as our guest."
"He is our guest. We cannot allow anything to happen. That would be much more harmful to us as a civilization than even the revelation of the weaknesses that he has uncovered. We mustn’t allow anything to happen to him."
"It is unlikely that the light elves can be deterred from action, even by us. They have waged war for lesser reasons. When we invited him here, we had no idea that he would have the potential to pose an existential threat to us with the solutions of his adaptive evolution. The light elves must already know of this problem. We elves are more united in one civilization than they would care to admit."
The Great Genoran Flora Network contained two distinct hemispheres with a lot of interconnectivity: western and eastern.
Elves on either side had great access to much of the network on the other side, and neither side minded all that much because they were of the sa species and civilization. The dark elves happened to be the only elves that the light elves got along with, and that ant so leeway between the two civilizations.
However, this also ca to bite them back, for it was very difficult to hide the happenings on one continent from another.
"They have yet to reach out to us."
"They likely know that we will not sell out a guest with whom we have sworn protection and safety. There will be great consequences to the trust people have in us if we can’t even protect our guests."
The dark elves were a rather outgoing and social civilization that ford ties and bonds with many polities.
Their reputation internationally was sothing that mattered to them, consequently.
"...if it ca to a conflict between the prince and the light elves, we must have him depart from this continent as soon as possible. We cannot possibly find ourselves in conflict with our sisters. The best solution would be to have him depart from the Genoran Continent entirely."
"No, they won’t let him leave now that he holds the fundantal weaknesses of our ans of power, as well as that of the light elves."
The Mothers of Nature found themselves in a complicated problem that had no solution.
"Then what should we do? Open dialogue?"
"...we must try."
"And what if that fails?"
"Then... we have no choice. So long as he is on our territory, we must fight to protect him."
