WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!
Rui gritted his teeth as he pushed himself to the absolute limit, using all the techniques that he had at his disposal, including the Tapestry of Nature, to survive.
While his nature manipulation was infantile compared to the expansive Mothers of Nature that covered thousands and thousands of kiloters with roots that dwarfed mountain ranges.
Still, it was just enough to give him what he needed.
STEP
A single foot on what was essentially a biotechnological homing missile. He used nature manipulation to get it to accelerate his foot before it could explode.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!
Each step he took unleashed an explosion that would have roasted him.
But instead, Rui used it to his advantage.
"Explosive Propulsion."
With the mighty Forge of Creation, he spontaneously created a maneuvering and breathing technique that allowed him to use the power of biotechnological explosions to push him farther than he normally would.
To make more with less.
To choose the best option in one’s circumstances and environnt to produce the best outco.
This was the essence of thought-oriented adaptive evolution.
While he had learned and mastered many kinds of adaptive evolutions over the decades, he was still most adept at thought. On top of that, he had Amare to thank for feeling particularly clear-headed, allowing him to bring about the very best of his cognitive potential.
However, he didn’t rely limit himself to defense.
WHOOSH
His body beca pitch-black all of a sudden.
A layer of Gu covered the entirety of the surface of his body, hiding even the bright light of his astronomically powerful Martial Heart. His pitch-black palms straightened into powerful javelines, becoming blades in their own right.
RUMBLE!
A giant tree trunk armored with an invintium-laden bark surged towards him, threatening to blast into him with its astronomical montum.
And yet, it didn’t so much as leave a scratch on him.
FLICK
A single swing of his hand.
That was all it took.
He cleanly sliced the trunk in half, dissecting the two halves with such force that they flew apart at incredible speeds.
RUMBLE!!!
The heavens in the night sky shook as countless ga-leaves spun towards him with great montum, threatening to slice him in half.
And yet again, they couldn’t so much as inflict even a scratch on him.
FLICK FLICK FLICK FLICK FLICK!
His gu-laden hands effortlessly bisected them.
His straightened palms beca nothing short of arcs of pure death.
It was a technique he created with the Forge of Creation.
Palms of Death.
A specific application of the gu poison that focused the gu into a microscopically sharp attack and launched a group along a single plane at great speeds. He essentially applied the principle of concentrated water-cutting to the gu poison that functioned similarly to both liquids and gases.
Each ti he swung cleanly along a single plane with a small amount of gu, the speed at which the poison was launched exceeded the speed at which it could spread to the rest of the body.
Thus, effectively, the gu only killed cells along a particular line and plane, functioning like an anti-life blade that killed everything the edge of the blade touched.
FLICK FLICK FLICK FLICK FLICK!
One by one, attacks that were extrely lethal to him due to all the absurd power that the dark elves poured into them were rendered harmless before Rui.
Not a single one of them could even impact him properly.
And even when he did make contact with them, he disabled the detonation chanism but left the antimatter chamber intact.
Keeping the antimatter chamber intact was the whole purpose of going out of his way to use the Gu in such a sophisticated manner rather than just unleashing the gu upon his enemies.
’I won’t be able to survive a third super-explosion. I can’t afford to let my gu make the antimatter go out of control once more.’
Yet, at the sa ti, the gu was too powerful and effective against botanical biotechnology than anything that Rui had in his arsenal, so he could possibly afford to ignore it entirely. The solution he had co up with was elegant, it allowed him to tackle the nature manipulation of the light elves without taking too much damage or spending too much energy.
WHOOSH
He flipped through the night skies as two volleys of branches attacks converged upon him from either side, only to be sliced in half as Rui pirouetted through the air, slicing the logs in half.
FLICK FLICK!
In the blink of an eye, the two attacks were sliced in half, causing them to collapse apart. The very next mont, however, a storm of leaf blades converged upon him, threatening to slice him in half.
His arms blurred as they accelerated forth with blinding speed, becoming circles of darkness that swirled about in a smooth, fluid trajectory. With each passing motion, he grew increasingly accustod to the technique, growing more and more adept at it as he learned to master it.
He closed his eyes as he felt his movents with his internal senses, trying his best to internalize those sensations and feelings into his body so that he could ingrain them.
It helped him retain each motion in his muscle mory a little deeper than he would otherwise. A little trick he had co up with after studying Amare’s kinesthetic learning up close for five months.
The results paled in comparison to what she was capable of every second of her life, but it was better than nothing and did not co at the cost of other muscle mory, unlike Soul Retcon.
The Mothers of Nature of East Genora grew frustrated at Rui’s increasing proficiency in dispatching their attacks.
’Detonate the attacks before they reach him,’ Mother Mara’s tone was unpleasant.
’Are you sure, Sister Mara? The intensity will be lower.’
’We have no choice,’ she snarled. ’He’s dispatching our flora ammunition too easily!’
’Very well then, sister.’
RUMBLE!!!
Rui’s eyes sharpened as he found himself under a flush of attacks towards him high in the night sky, converging on him in a single go. His Palms of Death surged to intercept the attacks, all but ready to destroy them.
And yet, they couldn’t.
All of them, before they could even reach him, drowned him in an enormous explosion of great power.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
