RUMBLE
A wave of tremors washed over it as its powerful eyes bored deep into the distance.
It beheld the war.
The war between the therianthropes and the tekvores.
Suddenly, its pupils, all one hundred of them, dilated.
They dilated as they beheld the beasts that the therianthrope Beast Tars had tad. They dilated as a profoundly intense urge erged within the creature’s biological system.
[Yes... that’s right...] NOVA whispered directly into its mind. [You want to dominate them, do you not?]
She activated several cerebral implants, manipulating their serotonin system, a system that played a role in establishing one’s role in the dominance hierarchy within and between species.
She created an unfathomable urge and desire to dominate.
To control.
To command.
[Now go...] she whispered to the chira. [Go fulfill your heart’s desire. I have given you the power to do just that.]
The creature did not need more telling; it charged at the ocean at a remarkably high speed with ferocious aggression. NOVA taphorically smiled with anticipation as she watched with excitent.
Project Chira had been built with one and only one idea in mind.
Authority of Alpha was not limited to the Beast Path.
Authority of Alpha could be harnessed by others outside the Beast Path.
It could be harnessed by non-pathwalkers as well.
The evidence for this ca in the form of Rui Quarrier as well as the World Serpent. All this ti, she had mistakenly assud that the Authority of Alpha was beyond her reach.
The only question was how soone like Rui achieved it?
She didn’t have proof because she hadn’t been there when he employed it, but if she had to make a decisive conclusion, she assud that it was a product of his cognition.
Sohow, he had deployed his mind to harness the Authority of Alpha.
[If that was the case, then I, too, should be able to harness it.]
Her mind was even greater than his, after all.
It had taken her six months of gathering every recording and application of Authority of Alpha she had at her disposal, gathered from contemporary and ancient therianthrope history. She applied cutting-edge machine learning to the sounds produced and the outcos they generated before finally creating a powerful predictive model.
But that alone had not been enough to control the beasts.
If it were just a matter of sound, then everybody would have been able to control beasts willy-nilly.
[The sounds are rely tools of communication... the fact that they are different for different creatures proves that the auditory signal is not the core of Authority of Alpha. It’s about... the power and the information conveyed that triggers genetic recognition.]
She needed to project enough power and subconsciously and genetically compel all creatures in the world that she was of the sa species as them.
She obviously couldn’t do that when she was a quantum supercomputer.
Even her emotions were fake mimics that were copied and pasted to ensure that her new self resembled her old self. She would never be able to command beasts herself the way that Rui had.
The solution to this problem was simple.
[I possess the power, but I will need an agent that can trigger genetic recognition in each species.]
That was the ambition of Project Chira, inspired by Tokugawa Ieyasu’s second-hand reports of what he had heard about the eldritch chira. She gathered every cell of every creature in the world and also identified all sensory signals that could be used to trigger genetic recognition in each of her targets.
Rui used hypnosis to trick them.
She would use biochemical deception.
RUMBLE!!!
As Weapon Authority, the creature’s official codena, approached the battlefield, the seismic and oceanic radiation continued to grow more and more intense. The surface of the water rocked up and down with violent waves while the winds and the atmosphere danced in a volatile manner from all the power that the battle radiated.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
The beasts fought against the tekvores violently as the two side unfurled all their power. The warships and aircrafts on either side also unleashed devastating sieges across the ocean as whallic vessels blasted against the cyborg warships that the tekvores mounted to defend their nation.
It was truly dangerous to be anywhere near the battlefield.
And yet, Weapon Authority only grew more and more enthusiastic.
Almost nobody detected the little ’bogey’ that approached the battlefield. It had a aningless power signature that could not materially affect the battle, so even those who did detect it couldn’t be bothered to pay any attention to it.
Except for Lord Vakratunda.
He froze.
He froze as he felt chills crawl across his skin.
He was known for such profound wisdom that it bordered on precognition. This was the man who had singlehandedly raised the Gajanan Clan to beco one of the most powerful Pasupati Clans of Kiriket and had beco the second most powerful therianthrope on the continent. His power was so great that he was able to protect his faction from the Authority of Lord Shenlong and help them all resist mind control.
That was why he sensed it.
He sensed a trendous threat erging from West Acherialis. The war had been rather boring and perfunctory over the past few months as things stabilized. He participated personally once Amare departed in preparation for the arrival of Suneater, but had always made sure to rember that this was not an existential war, so there was no need to shed too much blood.
For the first ti since the war began, he sensed a familiar sensation.
A force that sought to enslave him and his kind.
He turned, ignoring the many high-level ascendant tekvores who struggled to put up a fight against him.
His almond eyes widened with horror the mont he gazed at Weapon Authority. "NO!!!"
With a single glance, he ascertained the purpose of the artificial creature.
The giant war elephant turned, pointing its trunk at Weapon Authority, unleashing an astronomically powerful attack that exceeded even the power of Transcendent Candidates.
And yet, it was too late.
"ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" The creature howled as its body unleashed a maelstrom of signals and information that triggered genetic recognition in each and every single beast. What he lacked in power, NOVA made up for, using all of Greater Tekvoria to project on the behest of the creature with high energy signatures and powerful weapons.
In the blink of an eye, every creature shuddered as their pupils dilated.
They bowed down to their new Emperor.
