The stunning realization dawned on him quite heavily. He had just co across the manner through which he had been 'reincarnated,' which ant that he had taken an enormous stride in understanding his reincarnation in Gaia. There was no doubt that he was reincarnated on purpose by soone or sothing that went through a highly painstakingly difficult process to pass on all of John's mories to him.
The question was who or what.
And why.
Those were the questions to which he didn't have an understanding. He put the thought aside as his attention returned to the process at hand. He continued converting each of his mories, his systems of thought, his Mind Palace, into biochemical information. It was compressed into a single cell, into a single geno. By the ti he was done, a single cell floated in his hands. It contained everything he had needed to create a clone with all of his mories. Of course, just because it had all of his mories did not an that it would be exactly him. The mind was more than just mories. These asures would be enough to create vessels like the soul transference ritual, but he didn't intend to create rely a vessel containing his mories.
He intended to create a perfect clone.
"Are you finally done?" The voice of the Divine Doctor broke him out of his stupor. "You spent three hours just standing there."
Rui did a double-take as he looked at his own internal ntal clock with a stunned expression. It certainly hadn't felt like three hours, but indeed, it had been quite so ti since he started. "…the first part is over," Rui replied with a serious tone of voice. "I have created the soul cell."
BZZZT
The pod opened as a little chamber extended from within it. "Place the cell in the chamber," the Divine Doctor instructed. Rui followed his words, gently lowering the floating cell of his DNA into the chamber, which quickly shut down, before returning to the pod.
Rui exited the pod chamber, returning to the Divine Doctor, who continued skimming, sitting at a computer terminal, having already obtained a deep scan of the cell that Rui had created.
"This is it, hm?"
Rui nodded with a serious expression. "It doesn't have an Anthean side to it; this is purely your original DNA."
"Yeah, I'm not a natural lifeform at the mont, since I have two physiologies and DNA within , it would be too difficult to try and create that kind of hybrid system from scratch," Rui replied with a serious expression. "So this will be a clone of you with a body from before you integrated Anthean biology into it?" The Divine Doctor raised an eyebrow. "Won't this clone be weaker than you currently are?"
"Much, but this is all I can do unless I want to spend several more years upgrading this clone with Anthean physiology." Rui shook his head. "I don't care to go that far for a worst-case scenario precaution. If I really do die, then this clone will be able to do it much faster than the sixteen years it took , since it will be a second ti for it, having inherited my mories. I'll leave it so cells from my Anthean side to make its life easier. Also…"
His eyes sharpened. "There are so particular reasons that I want it to be weaker than ."
The Divine Doctor simply shrugged. "Very well then. I shall comnce the rapid growth acceleration process."
He pressed several keys before the process comnced.
VMMM…
Vibrations emanated from the pod, spreading across the entire facility as Rui observed what was going on with his micro-vision, studying the cellular division on a molecular level. The pod was causing the soul cell he had created to divide aggressively after triggering certain genes within the cell to cause cellular replenishnt to be relentless. Ordinarily, this kind of hasty, aggressive cellular division would cause irreparable damage to faulty DNA passed on from generation to generation.
However, the machine had recorded the original DNA of the cell, before manually fixing each and every single cell's damaged DNA through, surprisingly, quantum gravitational tweezers.
"Is that inspired by the technique I created?"
"I won't deny it."
Rui huffed lightly. The quantum-gravitational tweezers were sothing he had created with Gigabrain, which was one of the reasons it was so extraordinary. It allowed him to create techniques that he normally wouldn't even be able to fathom. So of his greatest techniques were born when he was in that state of mind.
It wasn't just about processing power. It was then that he entered a state of mind where he embodied his Martial Path more than ever. His ethereal eyes sharpened with yearning as he watched the soul cell he had created grow from a re cell to a fetal body that hovered midair, before growing larger and older.
It was grotesque and simultaneously extrely fascinating. Watching a whole new lifeform being woven midair. He could believe that this was the product of cutting-edge biotechnology from Panama and the true world.
It created a clone that looked identical to Rui before he integrated the Anthean physiology into his body. Its body was opaque, not translucent, with features identical to Rui's, including his black hair.
The clone hovered midair, unconscious once the process was fully complete.
Rui felt a surge of neurological activity from the clone.
A surge of activity that he was familiar with.
"This is the sa as when Anthea's mories surged into my mind," Rui remarked. "My mories must be assimilating into my clone's brain. This process will take days."
"I'll monitor its condition and keep you posted."
He turned towards the Divine Doctor with a serious expression. "Let into the pod. I have so final touch-ups I want to make."
The Divine Doctor raised an eyebrow. "And what would that be?"
Rui clenched his fists. "…If I die, I want this clone to not just be an inheritor or a successor, but to truly be in every shape and form. Otherwise…"
His expression hardened. "There might be issues with identity and Enlightennt of Self."
