If Gaia did understand him, she made no overt signs of it. He wasn't sure what was going on through her mind, given how radically different her model of consciousness was.
He suspected that while she likely had much faster processing power over longer periods of ti, the amount of ti she needed to have a single thought was probably much longer.
Her tabolism was geological and geochemical.
Her cognition was likely electromagnetic, existing in the interactions between the mantle and the atmosphere through the electromagnetic fields generated by the latter.
Because of the vast distances across her existence, it took signals ti to cross over and facilitate her cognition.
But once it did, her mind was undoubtedly mighty.

A wave through the very fabric of space and ti erged from Gaia, spreading throughout into outer space.
"I'm going to take that as a yes," he remarked. "There is only one realistic path for our survival of what is to co, and that is to…"
His ethereal eyes sharpened, shining with blood-red suns within their depths. "…make use of the negatron matter within your core. Only the anti-gravity generated by the negatron core at the very center of your existence has the power to snuff and cancel out the pure destruction barreling in our direction at the speed of light. But activating will require our simultaneous and coordinated efforts."
His eyes sharpened.
"You will handle the energy supply, I will handle the fine-tuning. Together, we can survive anything."

Another gravitational wave washed over him. He could only assu that that was an expression of affirmation. "Listen up closely, because this is what we're going to do."
As he quickly communicated his plan to Gaia, he found himself increasingly comfortable with the notion of speaking to planets as if they were alive participants in everything that was happening. He explained to Gaia how she would need to generate a trendous amount of power in the direction of the negatron matter and charge it with energy. Negatron particles had the strange phenonon of creating even more antigravity when charged with energy. And he knew exactly how powerful Gaia was when it ca to generating energy.
She managed to utterly negate the wave of destruction that the alien virus mind had unleashed upon the surface, hoping to wreak havoc. Now, she rely needed to redirect that energy in the direction of the core and charge it with energy.
"I will help you with that," Rui promised. "Thankfully, watching the virus control the mantle and the crust has given a lot of inspiration."

Gaia quivered as Rui activated the Tide of Samsara that was still present across the mantle and the crust. He had used it to wipe out each and every single deep biosphere bacterium within and beneath Gaia. The Tide of Samsara was composed of the Anicca current, which was the gu enhanced with entropic plasma, as well as the Antithesis Hive, which was his white blood cells existing in a network of quantum entanglent. They were spread across the mantle and the crust.
And they could do exactly what the deep biosphere bacteria did with Gaia. They could exert and have finetuned control.
And that was exactly what he had them do.

The world shook as the many, many white blood cells that Rui had spread across the depths of Gaia began acting together, exerting force on the mantle of Gaia as the living planet began charging the negatron matter at the depths of her body.

The world shook as the negatron matter grew increasingly charged with energy, increasing its repulsive forces little by little. Rui used his Antithesis Hive to change the direction of the force to focus it in one particular direction. In the direction of the incoming gravitational attack.
However, the biggest issue with directly using it to generate antigravity was that the mantle, the crust, and the surface existed between the core and the incoming gravitational wave.
Thus, it would destroy gravity on Gaia, causing the atmosphere and all life in the world to fly weightlessly and out of control if he directly generated powerful antigravity within Gaia's core. That was why he used that antigravity to first create a wormhole that would allow the negatron core to bypass the mantle, crust, and surface and directly generate its trendous antigravity out into outer space.
Doing so, however, would cause the core to explode into space, since the mantle, crust, and surface kept the core in check gravitationally. They only had a window of one nanosecond to conduct this operation.
"The timing needs to be just right."
If the tifra was too long, then it would destroy Gaia; if it was any shorter, then it wouldn't be able to stop the incoming gravitational wave, and they would be destroyed either way.
On top of that, they needed to get the exact mont right down, else they would be destroyed.
Rui waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Until the mont finally ca.
The gravitational wave drew closer towards Gaia, threatening to destroy the entire solar system and all of the space infrastructure around it.
"Here we go."

The world shook as the planet of Gaia herself, along with the Antithesis Hive of white blood cells that infested the mantle and the crust, generated a trendous wormhole in space. One that was just as large as the wormhole that the alien world ship had co through.
It lasted for just the briefest of monts.
But it was enough.
WHOOSH
Rui teleported away as the negatron core unleashed an astronomically destructive anti-gravity wave, capable of unleashing untold destruction upon the world.

The very fabric of reality boiled as gravity and anti-gravity collided.
The resulting collision was not catastrophic.
It did not lead to a collision of complete destruction.
It didn't lead to a gravitational explosion.
No.
The two waves quietly rged with each other, canceling each other out perfectly.
WHOOSH
In the blink of an eye, the world returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.
