Now reading: Chapter 269 - 54 The End of the Great War2 from The Master of Beasts, a Eastern novel by Ancient behemoth.

Wudao Tian was furious. Several of his tentacles intertwined and began rotating rapidly, one transforming into a drill that shot towards Jun Linseng.

A parry, a sidestep, a slash.

The steaming tentacle drill fell to the ground. Jun Linseng shook his head. "Haven’t I taught you not to always rely on brute strength? Skill is very important."

"What a joke! If you can’t win with strength, then why cultivate the Power Dao at all?" Wudao Tian shouted.

The original tentacles fused. The enormous octopus head began to shrink, revealing a humanoid monster resembling Wudao Tian, but with two extra pairs of arms on its back.

"Interesting. Have you directly transplanted Three Heads and Six Arms?" Jun Linseng asked, intrigued.

Wudao Tian’s expression gradually grew serious. "Master, the real fight is only just beginning."

The previously severed tentacles surprisingly transford into weapons such as sabers, spears, swords, and axes, now held by Wudao Tian’s six arms.

"Then bring it on," Jun Linseng said, also perking up. Although the Sun Dao augnted the body, it definitely wasn’t as strong as the Power Dao. If he wasn’t cautious, an undesirable upset could occur.

The initial bout between Gao Danyan and Jiang Taiyuan was also reaching its climax.

Driving two long sabers into Qiongqi’s chest, Jiang Taiyuan said regretfully, "Disciple, you’re still lacking a bit."

"Cough, cough. Master’s strength is still so formidable," Gao Danyan said sowhat helplessly, looking at the two sabers in her chest. Indeed, I’m still quite a ways off from Master.

Jiang Taiyuan smiled faintly. The risk of an upset is over. Ti to praise my good disciple and gain so prestige.

"Disciple, you’ve done very well, but there’s still a gap between you and Master," Jiang Taiyuan said, squatting down as he relaxed.

"Master, you let your guard down too much." Gao Danyan finally seized her opportunity.

Qiongqi resembled a tiger with a pair of wings on its back, and Gao Danyan’s Qiongqi beast naturally shared this form.

The two large wings suddenly detached and swiftly pierced through Jiang Taiyuan’s body.

Jiang Taiyuan, his face filled with astonishnt, exclaid, "Your ’Great Cutting Skill’ Divine Skill has reached perfection?"

"Master, it looks like I won," Gao Danyan said cheekily.

Jiang Taiyuan’s ch was decapitated. Just before it completely dissipated, he remarked, "Danyan, you’ve grown up."

With Jiang Taiyuan’s disappearance, Gao Danyan’s Qiongqi body also disintegrated. It was, after all, only made of Mahayana-level materials. For it to last until Jiang Taiyuan was eliminated, having integrated a Great Divine Power, was already quite impressive.

"Old Jiang was careless," Jiang Shengyuan sighed.

"Isn’t that a good thing?" Gong Qingru said sowhat enviously. His own disciples were all good-for-nothings. If he had a disciple half as competent as Gao Danyan, he’d wake up laughing from his dreams.

"’Great Cutting Skill’ perfected, that’s certainly unexpected," Yue Shanghua said, looking towards Yue Yinghua with a touch of disappointnt. Why can’t this guy be a bit more competitive?

When a Divine Skill is perfected, it becos engraved within a cultivator’s Dao body. Theoretically, this allows even a ch to execute it, but the price is steep: a lack of any protective abilities. Essentially, one could use it once, and then their own ch would likely explode. This was why True Immortals and Heavenly Immortal Elders seldom used such abilities.

As for the Golden Immortal Elders, they simply felt it was too beneath them to use Divine Skills; it felt too much like bullying and was rather embarrassing.

Wan Hao once again grabbed the chs of two Heavenly Immortal Elders and brutally crushed their heads, causing nearby Elders to grimace. Could he spare us a little dignity? We’re his elders, after all!

Wan Hao didn’t care. His mother had told him to play nicely with his friends. I haven’t had this much fun in ages!

"Who’s next?" Wan Hao pounded his chest, his voice booming.

Seventh Elder Luo Shuitian stepped forward sowhat reluctantly. "I’ll go."

Luo Shuitian, Master to Chen Jiuge’s younger sister Chen Xiaoyu, was an elegant and amiable man with a fondness for large hamrs, though he was a bit vain.

His scholar-like ch, carrying a large hamr, approached Wan Hao’s long-ard ape ch. "Let see the strength of the youngest Core Disciple in history."

BOOM!

The large hamr collided with the ape’s fist, creating a powerful shockwave.

"Impressive! I’ll use my full strength now." Tan patterns—the Earth Divine Power "Earth God"—appeared on the long-ard ape’s arms.

Luo Shuitian’s pupils contracted. "A Dual Laws Heavenly Immortal? You’ve cultivated two Laws?"

"Nope! My mom said I’m a Three Laws Heavenly Immortal, unprecedented in history!"

A blood-red aura—the War Divine Ability "Unrivaled"—began to coalesce around the long-ard ape.

Luo Shuitian glanced at Ninth Elder Shi Haibo, who was playing dead nearby. "Old Stone, give a hand!" he said helplessly. "I really can’t handle this alone."

Shi Haibo appeared sowhat reluctantly. "It looks like we’ll be the most humiliated ones this ti. Teaming up two against one is bad enough, but we even have to use Divine Skills..."

「Outside the light screen」

"Whose disciple is this?" Ancestor Tian Huo appeared where the Golden Immortal Elders were gathered and asked excitedly.

"Ancestor, he’s mine!" Jiang Shengyuan replied, his grin practically splitting his face.

"You?" Tian Huo looked at the slender Jiang Shengyuan with so doubt. A Three Laws Heavenly Immortal? Unprecedented since the Ancient Tis, and wielding three powerful Laws focused on combat! This skinny little fellow before clearly isn’t on any of those paths.

Yue Shanghua and Jiang Taiyuan burst out laughing simultaneously.

Jiang Shengyuan’s face darkened. "Ancestor, he really is my disciple."

I think he could be my disciple, Tian Huo mused.

"Stop fooling around," Tian Xing said, pulling Tian Huo back.

Jiang Shengyuan breathed a sigh of relief. If the Ancestor had actually snatched my disciple, I’d have nowhere to appeal for justice!

Chen Jiuge also asked the Great Elder, who had been slacking off earlier and only casually joined the fray before erging, "Grandmaster, what is a Three Laws Heavenly Immortal?"

Ye Sheng glanced at his grand-disciple and said with so emotion, "Cultivators generally comprehend several Laws when they achieve the True Immortal realm. However, most only cultivate one of these Laws to beco a Heavenly Immortal."

"This is because the more Laws you cultivate, the more difficult it becos later on, and the cultivation progress is heartbreakingly slow. Keep in mind that the Life Span of True Immortals today is just one Hui Yuan."

"So true geniuses might cultivate two Laws. As for Three Laws Heavenly Immortals like Wan Hao, apart from those in the Ancient Tis, there are none in the present era."

"So, does that an the more Laws you cultivate, the stronger you are?" Chen Jiuge asked, sowhat dazed. This Wan Hao seed incredibly powerful.

"No. Even if you only cultivate one Law, the more profoundly you comprehend it, the stronger you beco. It’s not about quantity. Wan Hao is different. He has a profound understanding of all three Laws, simultaneously stepped through the gateway of all three Great Daos, and has even perfectly fused them." Ye Sheng looked enviously at Jiang Shengyuan. That old rascal is really lucky.

While everyone outside focused their attention on Wan Hao, Gao Jie had already destroyed the ch of Eighth Elder Hai Bo.

Hai Bo said in disbelief, "The Dao of Slaughter? Dual Laws?"

Gao Jie said apologetically, "Sorry, Elder. Your strength is too great; I had to keep sothing in reserve."

Hai Bo wore a complex expression. More geniuses in the Sect is a good thing, of course, but becoming a stepping stone for them... that doesn’t feel great.

On the other side, the battle between Wudao Tian and Jun Linseng was also nearing its end.

Wudao Tian, with only one of his six arms remaining, looked at Jun Linseng—who appeared completely unhard—and said with unwillingness, "I can only use my final move."

"You still have another move?" Jun Linseng’s mouth twitched. You’ve already used Divine Skills, and you still have another move? Don’t tell I have to use a Divine Skill too?

Jun Linseng took a look around. He suddenly realized the nine Elders of the Main Hall were gone. A few other Golden Immortals were still around, but... What in the world is going on with Wan Hao, thrashing a Golden Immortal? And why is Gao Jie a Dual Laws cultivator too?!

Jun Linseng sighed. Looks like I can’t afford to lose.

Looking at the six giant fists that blotted out the sky before him, Jun Linseng said, "Fatian Xiangdi, eh? I know that one too."

Unlike applying it to oneself, Jun Linseng’s Fatian Xiangdi manifested on the Three-pointed Two-edged Spear in his hand. A closer look would reveal a faint golden-red glow on the spear’s tip—this was another Divine Skill.

With a crisp sound, Wudao Tian didn’t even have ti to open his mouth before he was instantly lted away.

"I told you to cultivate the Sun Dao, but you wouldn’t listen, insisting on being a brute," Jun Linseng grumbled.

I’m the strongest Golden Immortal of this era! If my term wasn’t still ongoing, I’d have broken through to beco an Ancestor long ago!

"Next up are you two youngsters," Jun Linseng said, holding his spear and looking at Gao Jie and Wan Hao with a smile.
