Chen Jiuge had high expectations for Qian Baolin.

The Money Comrce, established by the Money Clan, ranked in the middle tier of the Star Sea Realm’s top ten rchant associations. It covered a vast region and dealt with countless clients. If Chen Jiuge could attract even a small fraction of them, he would make a substantial profit.

A year passed quickly. Angle Shadow City remained as peaceful as ever, though the popularity of figurines continued to rise.

In Angle Shadow City, any True Immortal cultivator who didn’t own a figurine risked being looked down upon. After all, a single figurine only cost 100,000 Top Grade Spiritual Stones—not a particularly steep expense for True Immortals, although the upkeep could indeed be costly.

Today, however, the usual peace of Angle Shadow City was disturbed by the appearance of a giant figure.

Due to the stringent Laws of the Star Sea Realm, a Dharma Image that would be hundreds of ters tall in the Heavenly Realm was only a little over ten ters high here. Consequently, a ten-ter-tall giant naturally caused a sensation.

"Whoa... so tall... so huge," Tian Que stamred, his face a mask of shock. He was munching on a rice ball as he stared at the giant who had stopped in front of him.

Titan Yun crouched his massive form, looking at the chubby little fellow before him. "Little fellow," he rumbled in a muffled voice, "is this Angle Shadow City?"

His voice, like rolling thunder, caused a layer of dust to shake loose from the surrounding houses.

Tian Que swallowed his rice ball and said, "This is Angle Shadow City. Who are you?"

"I am Titan Yun, from the Titan Clan. I heard from Qian Baolin of the Money Clan that you sell figurines here, so I ca specifically to purchase so."

"Ah, buying figurines! You scared to death! Co with ," Tian Que said, patting his chest, a look of lingering fear still on his face.

"My apologies," Titan Yun said. His deanor was surprisingly gentle.

The appearance of a Titan naturally caught the attention of the city’s Law Enforcent Team, and news soon reached Chen Jiuge.

"The Titan Clan?" Chen Jiuge said, sowhat surprised.

In the Star Sea Realm, the Titan Clan represented the apex of strength; among cultivators of the sa level, Titans were supre. Not only were they powerful, but they also preferred solitude, making them difficult to encounter.

Before long, Chen Jiuge hurried to the Infinite Figurine Store.

Squeezing past a large crowd of onlookers, Chen Jiuge finally saw the Titan. His slightly ferocious appearance, contrasted with his gentle facial expression, seed sowhat incongruous.

"You’re the Titan?" Chen Jiuge asked, tilting his head up.

Looking down at the small figure beside him, Titan Yun replied gently, "I am Titan Yun."

"Hello, I am the City Lord of Angle Shadow City. My na is Chen Jiuge."

"So, you are the City Lord," Titan Yun said calmly. "I would like to settle in Angle Shadow City, but the owner of this shop told I should ask your opinion. May I reside here?"

Looking at Mo Yu erging from the shop, Chen Jiuge asked, "What’s going on?"

"Titan Yun wishes to purchase figurines. After seeing the prices, he decided he’d like to settle in Angle Shadow City," Mo Yu explained with a wry smile. "However, when the houses here were initially constructed, the needs of the Titan Clan weren’t taken into account, so there are no rooms large enough for him."

"That’s simple. I’ll have the Gray Elephant Clan build one for him. rging a few existing plots shouldn’t be difficult, right?"

Mo Yu shook his head. "He has no Spirit Stones."

"Yes, I spent them all on my journey here," Titan Yun admitted candidly.

Chen Jiuge scanned him. "You must possess a Golden Immortal Cultivation. It’s unusual for a Golden Immortal to have no Spirit Stones at all."

"Mm," Titan Yun nodded silently.

"Divine Son, this is quite normal," Luo Wencheng explained, observing Titan Yun. "mbers of the Titan Clan generally live hand-to-mouth. Apart from food, they rarely need anything else, so it’s common for them to lack Spirit Stones."

After a mont’s thought, Chen Jiuge said, "I can offer you a job. This job will not only provide you with a Spirit Stone inco but also allow you to settle in Angle Shadow City without spending any of your own Spirit Stones."

"Okay, I agree," Titan Yun imdiately responded.

This caught Chen Jiuge off guard. Doesn’t he even need to hear what the job is?

"Mo Yu, make the arrangents. Have a house suitable for Titan Yun built on the street behind my bar. From now on, he’ll be the bar’s security guard."

Indeed, Chen Jiuge’s idea was to have Titan Yun work as a security guard at the bar. Places like bars often attract patrons who drink too much and cause disturbances. Having a formidable-looking Golden Immortal on site could effectively deter such incidents.

Titan Yun’s arrival was rely the beginning. Soon, another Golden Immortal itinerant cultivator appeared.

Tian Yongshan, from the Green Bamboo Realm, addressed Chen Jiuge with a cold expression. "I can settle in Angle Shadow City, but I must be treated the sa as mbers of other races. You cannot restrict my personal freedom."

Chen Jiuge looked sowhat vexed at Tian Yongshan. Why would I want to restrict your personal freedom? You’re a man. Even if you were a woman, I wouldn’t be interested in doing so.

"I won’t restrict your freedom. You may do as you please, and you can leave whenever you wish," Chen Jiuge responded patiently, given he was addressing a Golden Immortal.

Behind Chen Jiuge, Titan Yun—acting as a temporary bodyguard—munched on an unidentifiable beast leg. His words were muffled yet still bood like thunder, "The City Lord is a good person. You don’t need to be afraid. Besides, the City Lord is very wealthy."

Watching Titan Yun attempt to speak discreetly, though his voice still resonated like thunder, Chen Jiuge chuckled. "Just focus on your leg."

"So, what do you say?" Chen Jiuge smiled. "Although I’m not entirely sure what kind of people the Tianyuan Clan are, as long as you don’t intentionally cause destruction in Angle Shadow City, I won’t refuse your request to join us."

Tian Yongshan’s cold expression softened slightly. The Tianyuan Clan possessed another special ability unknown to others: they could sense the inner emotions of others. Although it wasn’t a very clear perception, nor was it mind-reading, they could still roughly discern general emotional states.
