Entering the Secret Realm were not only people from the Three Sects but also a multitude of Loose Cultivators and cultivators from smaller factions. Of course, these "smaller factions" were relative to major sects like the Myriad Beasts Sect. Among these were several powers with Heavenly Immortals and True Immortals in their families or sects.
While happily harvesting low-rank Spiritual dicine, Chen Jiuge suddenly heard a furious roar. It was Bao Nu’s voice.
Chen Jiuge turned his head towards the east and said, "That’s Bao Nu’s voice. Yue ng, co with to check it out."
As a Body Refiner, Chen Jiuge’s fastest way to travel was not by sword flight or wind riding but by using the strength of his body to leap. On his way to Bao Nu’s location, he also communicated with other Spiritual Beasts to co together.
A quarter of an hour later, Chen Jiuge saw Bao Nu’s figure. He witnessed two Nascent Soul Cultivators attacking Bao Nu. One was casting Water Elent spells, while the other used Wood Elent magic to restrict Bao Nu’s movents.
Just at that mont, the Water Elent cultivator in blue robes shouted fiercely, "Myriad Heavy Waters!"
Dark black water rushed rapidly towards Bao Nu. Because Chen Jiuge had only recently started the Spiritual Beast Magic Technique for his chosen beast, Bao Nu had very limited ans of attack. It could only rely on its innate Divine Ability, the Flood Dragon Fla, which placed it at a great disadvantage.
"Giant Spirit."
The massive form of the Giant Spirit Dharma Form shielded Bao Nu, while Chen Jiuge’s body quickly leaped towards the Wood Elent cultivator, ruthlessly smashing a strike called "Heavenly General" onto him.
As the dust settled, the blue-robed cultivator warily said to Chen Jiuge, "Who are you, and why did you launch a sneak attack on my companion?"
The severely injured Wood Elent cultivator coughed up a large mouthful of blood and glared fiercely at Chen Jiuge.
To be absolutely sure, Chen Jiuge stalled, "Weren’t you the ones who ambushed my Spiritual Beast first?"
"Your Spiritual Beast?" The two cultivators exchanged glances and communicated through voice transmission, "He’s a disciple of the Myriad Beasts Sect. Kill him, or else we won’t escape unscathed once we get out."
"Weak Water Prison," "Green Vine Binding."
Two beams of Spirit Light shot straight towards Chen Jiuge. "We got him! He didn’t dodge," the blue-robed cultivator said excitedly.
"That’s all you’ve got, and you dare to ambush my Spiritual Beast?" Chen Jiuge had initially wanted to dodge. However, realizing that the spells released by the two cultivators carried only ordinary early-stage Nascent Soul fluctuations in Spiritual Power, he couldn’t be bothered to avoid them.
With a tremor of his body, the erald green vines shattered completely, and the so-called Ruishui River was casually extinguished by the Giant Spirit Dharma Form protecting Bao Nu.
"Die." Chen Jiuge’s legs bent, and he shot towards the already injured Wood Elent cultivator.
"Heavenly General."
"Green Vine Shield."
BOOM. The Wood Elent cultivator’s upper body completely dissipated, his Nascent Soul not even having a chance to escape.
"Flee." Witnessing this scene, the blue-robed cultivator turned to use a Water Escape Technique, only for a large hand to directly grab his head.
War Song, his face ferocious, roared loudly and crushed the cultivator’s head. He destroyed the escaping Nascent Soul, which Yue ng, hiding behind, then shattered with her dicine Mortar.
Looking at the boastful Yue ng, Chen Jiuge frowned and said, "Stop playing around. Co over and check on Bao Nu’s injuries."
"Oh, I’m coming," Yue ng trotted over sowhat unhappily and said after inspecting, "A superficial wound, it’ll heal in a mont."
"Rejuvenation Technique." The simple restorative small magic Yue ng cast beca dozens of tis more effective, instantly healing scales that were previously corroded and pockmarked.
"Just need to replenish so Spiritual Power, and he’ll be fine," Yue ng said, wiping away nonexistent sweat.
Chen Jiuge also took the opportunity to plunder the Storage Rings from the two cultivators.
"Poor devils," Chen Jiuge sneered disdainfully. Aside from a thousand or so Upper Spirits, they only had a couple of ordinary Cultivation Techniques, so common spells, and a few regular Magic Artifacts they hadn’t managed to use in ti.
Before long, other Spiritual Beasts also arrived. To prevent any accidents, Chen Jiuge arranged them in pairs to search for Spiritual Beasts. As for War Song, he stayed by Chen’s side to provide support. The personnel in the Secret Realm were too complicated, and it was better to avoid surprises.
"What the hell? Have these Loose Cultivators gone mad? Just two early-stage Nascent Soul Cultivators leading four Golden Cores, and they dare to charge at ?" Chen Jiuge muttered, looking at the mutilated corpses nearby.
In reality, the cultivators here simply didn’t know much about the disciples of the Myriad Beasts Sect. They might have heard of them but had never crossed hands, not realizing their strength. Besides, who wouldn’t covet the combination of two Flood Dragons?
In the following half-day, Chen Jiuge was attacked by nurous Loose Cultivators. Thankfully, each wave wasn’t very large. It would have been rather troubleso if they had attacked all at once.
Taking the Storage Rings from the corpses, Chen Jiuge, his torso bare, suddenly turned around and asked, "Who?"
From the red forest behind, a man and a woman appeared. The male cultivator stepped forward and cupped his hands. "Fellow Daoist, I an no harm. I was just passing by and ca to check when I heard the sound of fighting. My na is He Jia, and this is my younger sister, He Yu."
Chen Jiuge’s gaze flickered, and he laughed, "Are you from the He Family of Luoshui?"
"Indeed," He Jia responded with a salute.
"I am Chen Jiuge from the Myriad Beasts Sect," Chen Jiuge introduced himself.
Both of their Cultivations weren’t weak; the man was at the late-stage Nascent Soul and the woman at the mid-stage Nascent Soul. Chen Jiuge wasn’t afraid of them, but there was no need to make enemies, especially since the He Family of Luoshui was a Heavenly Immortal Family.
"So it’s an esteed disciple of the Myriad Beasts Sect, what a pleasure," He Jia complinted before adding, "I wonder if Brother Chen would be willing to cooperate?"
"There are too many Loose Cultivators in the Secret Realm, and even Heavenly Immortal ancestors can’t know what happens here. Those Loose Cultivators are attacking people from the Three Sects and various families like mad. I’ve already seen many die by their hands."
Chen Jiuge frowned and pondered. Should he cooperate? It seed possible. He just wanted to extract the Fire Qilin Bloodline from the local Spiritual Beasts, and he had no other demands. Banding together could be beneficial, but he wasn’t sure if he could trust these two.
"Brother Chen need not worry. Although our Cultivation is decent, we aren’t the strongest, and we do not covet the Fire Qilin’s reincarnation," He Jia said with a wry smile.
I don’t covet that either. Such things are beyond our reach, Chen Jiuge decided. He would cooperate for the ti being. After all, they had only seen the two Flood Dragons, Bao Nu and Li Fire. With War Song and the others staying hidden, even if they planned to betray him, he wasn’t worried.
"So, Brother Chen, what do you say?" He Jia asked with so anticipation.
"Fine, but I ca here to collect so rare Spiritual Beasts," Chen Jiuge stated his purpose.
"That’s no problem. After all, it’s a Secret Realm influenced by the Fire Qilin. The Spiritual Beasts here are highly valuable. If we can find one with great potential, it’ll be worth the trip," He Jia agreed.
"Alright, let’s cooperate for now," Chen Jiuge said, seeing no objection from him.
"Brother Chen, we are currently on the periphery of the Secret Realm. The closer you get to the core, the greater the potential of the Spiritual Beasts there. Cultivators who are confident in their strength are definitely rushing towards the core area. We can search for resources in the middle territories of the Secret Realm," He Jia suggested.
Chen Jiuge nodded in agreent, "Okay."
