The next day, bright and early, Bei Family Head Bei Long cheerfully delivered one hundred strong and healthy Barbarian slaves along with treehouses to the Treasure Pavilion. He even prepared a whopping ten million white-furred mice.
Looking at the dense mass of white-furred mice inside the Spiritual Beast Bag, Chen Jiuge could only exclaim, "As expected of the overlord of Beian City!"
Although white-furred mice were the most common and lowest-rank Spiritual Beasts, ten million was not a small number. Unexpectedly, the Bei family had managed to prepare everything in just one night.
The Barbarians bore a striking resemblance to mountain people but were not as large in stature, averaging around two and a half ters in height, with Spiritual Wisdom no different from that of ordinary people.
The one hundred Barbarian slaves from the Bei family were quite good: half male and half female, and all were at the Heavenly Origin Realm. It seed they had invested a lot.
The unique properties of the treehouses, however, greatly surprised Chen Jiuge.
These treehouses were actually trees several hundred zhang tall. Their trunks were hollow, forming self-contained spaces inside that were far more spacious than they appeared from the outside.
Only three of the ten treehouses were needed to accommodate all ten million white-furred mice, and there was still plenty of space left over.
It seems the Bei family really doesn’t want to owe Lady any favors! Chen Jiuge mused.
"But who cares? It benefits anyway," Chen Jiuge said, his face alight with joy.
These treehouses could be refined. Once refined, they could be shrunk and carried around. The only unfortunate thing was that these treehouses couldn’t function as Storage Bags. If they did, the conflicting spaces would cause spatial Chaos, leading to imdiate annihilation. Therefore, they could only be considered an alternative type of Spiritual Beast Bag.
After settling the ten treehouses, Chen Jiuge also deliberately placed Spiritual Springs inside them. Although they were only low-rank Spiritual Springs, they still cost Chen Jiuge a significant amount of high-quality Pearl Rice.
He placed the white-furred mice that had failed to mutate or had not yet mutated into Treehouse Number Four. Another white-furred mouse variant, the Fire Spiritual Mice, was assigned to Treehouse Number Five.
As for the remaining five treehouses, Chen Jiuge planned to use them to cultivate so new Mutant Spiritual Beasts.
Having lost Eden Garden and the Green Bamboo Realm, Chen Jiuge felt a severe lack of Spiritual Beast resources and a strong sense of insecurity. He urgently needed to raise new Spiritual Beast enforcers.
How great would it be if all the Sky-reaching Tigers in the Treasure Pavilion were mine! Chen Jiuge thought, sowhat enviously, as he watched the fleeting, majestic silhouette of a tiger.
Spiritual Beasts like these, which reached the Great Divine Power Realm upon adulthood, could, if they passed through his hands, likely produce several Divine Storage Realm Spiritual Beast enforcers. This would significantly enhance his own safety.
"I can’t get my hands on Sky-reaching Tigers, but other, slightly lesser Spiritual Beasts should be manageable, right? If another beast prodigy like Wufu erges, forget Divine Storage Realm, even a True Monarch wouldn’t be impossible!" Chen Jiuge mused aloud.
Over the next few days, Chen Jiuge furtively wandered around the Treasure Pavilion, searching for suitable targets.
"Damn it! In this huge Treasure Pavilion, the only sowhat large beast groups are actually pigs!" Chen Jiuge fud, shivering with annoyance.
This massive Treasure Pavilion, at least half the size of Eden Garden, housed many types of Spiritual Beasts, but their numbers were very limited. The most nurous group, astonishingly, was the Golden Pigs!
Covered in glistening gold and waddling with a swaggering gait, the Golden Pigs strutted past Chen Jiuge, their deanor so arrogant it seed they recognized no one.
These Golden Pigs were not large, only about the size of piglets from his previous life. They appeared quite delightful with their glistening golden bodies. However, that was rely their appearance; in reality, these Golden Pigs had extrely foul temperants. Relying on their impervious Golden Skin, this gang of Golden Pigs tyrannized the Treasure Pavilion.
They had thick hides and tough flesh, and there were many of them. They even dared to snatch food from the Sky-reaching Tigers, making them the undisputed bullies of the Treasure Pavilion.
OINK OINK.
The plump Golden Pig struggled incessantly in his hands. This was a lone Golden Pig that Chen Jiuge had finally managed to find after several days of tracking; usually, these bullies moved in large groups.
Dharma Manifestation Realm, a young pig just reaching adulthood. Well, I’ll have to make do, Chen Jiuge thought, feeling sowhat regretful.
The Golden Finger’s mutation ability was more effective on young beasts, sothing Chen Jiuge had discovered while cultivating the Jade Mice. The younger the Spiritual Beast, the greater its malleability.
With a ntal command, imnse spiritual power instantly invaded the Golden Pig’s mind, forcibly establishing a Contract with it. Only then did Chen Jiuge release it.
「Inside the steward’s courtyard.」
The Golden Pig chased the remaining six black and white deer into a corner and plopped down beside the Holy Infant Fruit Tree, where the Spiritual Energy was even richer.
"What a bully!" Chen Jiuge exclaid, watching the black and white deer cowering pitifully in the corner. He felt a twinge of annoyance. How can a re Dharma Manifestation Realm creature be so arrogant?
The Golden Pig’s mutation would take so ti, but Chen Jiuge was not in a hurry. His current priority was to cultivate new Spiritual Beast enforcers.
He had previously ntioned the issue of Spiritual Beasts to Zhu Ying. Now, the arrival of the treehouses from the Bei family had conveniently solved the problem of space for raising them. Guards from Snow Concubine Hall would periodically deliver so common, low-rank Spiritual Beasts.
There were many types of Spiritual Beasts, though the quantity of each type was small. Chen Jiuge placed them all into Treehouse Number Five. To modify its internal environnt, he used almost the entire five hundred jin of high-quality Pearl Rice he had saved up over the year. This considerable expense was incurred even though the Spiritual Beasts themselves were provided free of charge.
Three months passed in a flash. Treehouses Number One through Three were already teeming with Jade Mice and Fire Spiritual Mice. However, the third white-furred mouse variant was still nowhere in sight. If not for a faint, mysterious intuition, Chen Jiuge would have truly suspected that the white-furred mice only had two variants.
While there were no new developnts with the white-furred mice, the second variant of the black and white deer erged.
Its appearance hadn’t changed much; there were no significant alterations in either its size or fur color. The only change was the Tai Chi Diagram now etched on its forehead.
