"Are you sure you didn't see it wrong?"

The sudden intrusion of Chen Jiuge and others only made them curiously turn their heads for a glance before continuing their frolic.

Drooping triangular eyes revealed a hint of malice, the hooked nose, and thin lips left an impression of stinginess. Pair it with so comical mouse whiskers, and it was the perfect image of Captain Jia from an Otherworld.
"Senior, I didn't an to intrude, we just encountered a little one on the road and were helping him get ho!" Chen Jiuge explained, bowing, while Ao Li quickly handed over Bai Xing.
"Oh?"
The old man's muddled eyes brightened with incredulity: "There's actually a descendant still alive."
The old man's appearance was too scary, causing Bai Xing to shrink back when he extended his hands.
The joy on the old man's face paused, touching his wrinkled skin, puzzled: "Little one, are you afraid? This shouldn't be, the old masters said my appearance is that of a kind old man."
Chen Jiuge felt a sweat drop on his forehead, secretly thinking, with your appearance, ordinary people would keep their distance!

After leaving the fog, the creature that had been battling with Dabai finally revealed its form.

Perhaps Dabai's taunting was too extre; this creature outside the fog was fixated on why it couldn't break Dabai's tough exterior.
Without the fog to shield it, its form was visible. With help from other Guardian Beasts, Dabai finally managed to grab and hold it tightly, rolling into the middle between Chen Jiuge and the old man while struggling.
"Evil Monkey?"
The old man furrowed his brows, saying: "Outlander, please have your Guardian Beast release the Evil Monkey; it's the Guardian of Anle Plain!"
"If you're truly here just to return the young one ho, the Evil Monkey won't attack you further!"
Chen Jiuge shook his head slightly: "Senior, it's not that I don't trust you, but if Anle Plain is truly Bai Xing's ho, why didn't the Guardian Evil Monkey recognize him?"
By the ti he finished speaking, Chen Jiuge had already retreated amongst the Guardian Beasts, with the tough-skinned Er Shixiong standing out.
The old man frowned slightly, seemingly pondering how to explain, before his sowhat sly triangular eyes turned to Bai Xing: "To hide the young one's presence, the old masters never let us see him!"
"I recognized him due to the masters' last will. Fine, follow ; after you see, you should believe !"
Chen Jiuge hesitated for a mont, looking at the stumbling old man with so suspicion.
"What's the matter, he appeared so suddenly before, and now he's like a decrepit tree. Am I overthinking it?"
"Chen Jiuge!"
Bai Xing fought back tears, softly calling.
"Alright, let's go!"
If this old man really was strong, escaping wouldn't be possible now; if not, then there wasn't much to fear!
