A full month had passed since that day in the greenhouse when Lazarus spoke of the silver bracelet and its secret.

However, after discussing it with Leofric, he told Primrose that he could not sense any magical energy from the bracelet, which ant the magic might also be hidden. Because of that, he needed more ti to figure it out, and it wasn’t sothing that could be solved quickly.

During that month, Leofric had already moved Lorelle into the palace. Sadly, Lady Naveer was still away from the kingdom. She had left to gather rare herbs and wouldn’t return to Noctvaris until recently.

Even so, since Lorelle no longer felt any pain, she was able to live more comfortably. She still needed to go through a lot of treatnt, but at least now she could stroll slowly through the palace gardens or enjoy the sunlight in her bedroom without wincing in pain.

Primrose was relieved to see this. At last, she felt that her ability was truly useful.

As for herself, she finally began to feel the effects of pregnancy after a month.

"Her Majesty is sleeping again?" Sevrin asked. He had only stepped out of her office for less than fifteen minutes to grab a docunt he’d forgotten in his room, but when he ca back, Primrose was already asleep on her desk.

Solene gave an awkward smile. "Her Majesty said she only wanted to rest her head for a mont, but ...."

She didn’t need to finish her words because Sevrin could see what had happened.

He took out his pocket watch and said, "Let’s give her ten minutes of sleep. After that, you need to wake her up." Then he added, "Her Majesty has already exceeded her nap ti today. I’m afraid she will get sick when she wakes up later."

A month ago, Primrose thought she would experience morning sickness and severe nausea, since she had seen many pregnant won go through those awful symptoms.

But to her surprise, she never felt nauseous, and her appetite was fine, actually, it even increased, because she felt hungry all the ti.

Although it sounded like she was having an easy pregnancy, the truth wasn’t that simple.

As the baby grew and Edmund constantly boosted Primrose energy with his saliva and magic, their baby no longer tried to hold back. It was as if their baby knew its father would do everything he could to prevent its mother from suffering.

It was a good thing, and Primrose felt so happy that her baby could grow as it should.

Unfortunately, it also ca with a big side effect for her. She beca easily exhausted and slept a lot, and when she said a lot, it was truly A LOT.

Primrose never really paid attention to the ti, but everyone around her noticed that she couldn’t stay awake for more than three hours. Sotis, all it took was resting her head on a table or feeling a little bored, and she would fall asleep right away.

She had dozed off while drinking tea in the greenhouse, while working on the winter supply reports, and once, she had even fallen asleep without aning to during an intimate mont with Edmund.

That last mont nearly scared him to death, because he thought his wife had fainted during sex.

Thankfully, it turned out she was only asleep. Still, the scare was enough for Edmund to decide it was better to use his own hand rather than risk exhausting his wife further. At least, until she regained enough strength not to tire so easily.

Dr. Celdric reassured them that it was normal, since the baby was taking so much energy from her body that it left her drowsy most of the ti.

However, it would be dangerous if she fell asleep without receiving Edmund’s constant magic.

For this reason, the doctor gave clear instructions to everyone around her. If Primrose slept for more than half an hour without the Lycan King nearby, they had to wake her up right away.

She honestly didn’t want to burden him too much, especially since he beca even busier as winter drew closer, but she didn’t really have a choice. Her body was no longer just her own, but it belonged to the little life growing inside her as well.

Even though she was the one carrying the child, it felt like Edmund was sharing half of the burden—or maybe even more—since he had to constantly run back and forth to her every day just to give her his saliva.

At one point, Primrose had wondered if it would be easier to simply bottle it up for later. But Dr. Celdric quickly shook his head and explained that the effect was far stronger when it ca directly from Edmund himself, mouth to mouth.

"Your Majesty." Solene gently patted Primrose’s shoulder, trying to wake her after ten minutes. "You’ve almost napped for thirty minutes. You need to wake up now."

Primrose imdiately opened her eyes and straightened her back. "I—I wasn’t sleeping!" she blurted out, blinking several tis to clear her blurry vision. "I was just ... resting my eyes!"

Sevrin, who was sitting across from her, let out a sigh. "It’s alright, Your Majesty," he said. Then he added, "You’ve been buried in these reports for far too long after all."

Primrose bit her lower lip, feeling embarrassed at being caught asleep in the middle of work more tis than she could count. "I’m sorry," she murmured. Then she asked, "Did I make any mistakes in the reports? I can fix them right away."

To her surprise, Sevrin suddenly smiled. "No, Your Majesty. You’ve done a fine job. I didn’t see a single error."

He glanced at the papers neatly stacked in front of him and thought to himself. [Even though she’s been sleeping so much lately, she still manages to get her work done.]

[She even checked the winter supplies in the warehouse and recorded them quickly in her reports.]
