"You shaless woman! Don’t drag Her Majesty into your own ss!"

One by one, the beasts began standing up for Primrose, and it made her heart feel warm.

"She’s not the one who tried to starve her own people, unlike you!"

"Shaless woman!"

Soon, chaos broke out. People started throwing whatever they could find at Arabella, like half-eaten apples, thick books, even bottles of alcohol.

If Arabella had been human, she probably would’ve ended up with a concussion after that heavy book hit her head.

"Enough!" the judge finally shouted, unable to bear how chaotic the courtroom had beco. "Guards, take both of them out now!"

The crowd didn’t stop. They kept shouting and throwing more things until Arabella and her husband were finally dragged out of the courtroom.

Primrose let out a long sigh of relief once Arabella was gone.

"Wife, let’s go," Edmund said softly. He reached out his hand to help her up because the wooden chair had been hurting her back.

The Lycan King’s gentle action made the whole room fall silent. The nobles around them could only watch with wide eyes, their minds filled with thoughts.

[So the rumor is true! The King is completely in love with his wife!]

[Why did anyone think he would kill her when they first t? He looks like he’d die for her instead!]

Their silent admiration made Primrose smile. Day by day, she had slowly—whether she ant to or not—won the hearts of everyone in Noctvaris.

At this rate, it wouldn’t take long before they would all be ready to give their lives for their queen.

Primrose then turned to the beasts in the stands, waving her hand with a bright smile. "It was nice eting you," she said softly.

Her voice sounded so soft and sweet that all the beasts responded to her greeting in hushed tones, afraid they might accidentally raise their voices at her.

Primrose chuckled because their behavior reminded her of the ti when Edmund and the soldiers acted the sa way after she told them that her heart would ache if they ever yelled at her.

"Husband, many people pitied you in their minds," Primrose said once they left the courtroom and stepped into the carriage.

Still standing outside, Edmund raised a brow. "Why is that?"

"They think you’re not rich enough for ." Primrose giggled softly and patted his cheek. "I’m sorry for making you look bad."

Edmund smiled faintly and kissed her palm over and over again. "It’s nothing," he said softly. Then added, "I don’t care what others think. The only opinion that matters to is yours. As long as you believe I can give you everything you need, that’s enough for ."

Primrose brushed her fingers along his cheek, then leaned down and kissed his lips. "Then, to , you’re the best husband I could ever ask for."

Both of them chuckled softly before Edmund finally climbed into the carriage and closed the door, as the air outside grew colder.

Now that the issue with the Duke of Cindralis was over, they could finally focus on their journey to the Vellmoria Empire. However, unfortunately, there was another problem they had to deal with first.

Since the Duke had committed treason, the entire House of Cindralis was erased from the noble registry, and all their lands were taken by the crown.

Therefore, for the ti being, until a proper successor was appointed, the city of Cindralis would remain under the direct control of the royal palace, under Edmund’s administration. Because of that, he worked endlessly, day and night, handling the city’s affairs before their departure to Vellmoria.

He beca so busy that Primrose rarely saw him. In fact, he only ca to her when she needed her strength through a kiss, or when they were about to sleep.

But Primrose understood his situation well, so she never complained, even though a part of her felt sad for not being able to spend more ti with her husband.

The Winter Retreat aftermath had truly forced her to get used to their busy lives once again.

"It’s such a pity we can’t go with you," Lorelle said as she shared tea with Primrose in her room.

They hadn’t seen each other since the Winter Retreat, so Primrose decided to visit her and learn what she had been doing with Leofric during that ti.

"Will Lady Naveer perform the soul-transfer ritual soon?" Primrose asked softly. "I should be there when it happens."

After all, there was no absolute guarantee that transferring a soul into a clay statue would succeed. Because of that, Primrose was torn between following the set schedule to Vellmoria or staying in Noctvaris for Lorelle’s sake.

"Oh, you don’t have to." Lorelle reached out and gently patted her hand. "I’ll be fine, don’t worry. Though maybe the next ti you see , I’ll already be made of clay." She laughed lightly. "And instead of tears, I’ll probably shed dust and dirt."

Primrose laughed along with her, but after a mont, her smile softened. She looked at Lorelle with gentle eyes. "But really, if you need , I can delay my trip to Illvaris."

Still, if she did that, she would miss the King of Azria’s banquet, and her plan to introduce Edmund to the human nobles would fall apart.

Even so, none of that mattered as much as Lorelle. Primrose couldn’t bear the thought of leaving her if she truly needed her.

"No, I’ll be fine. I promise," Lorelle said with a reassuring smile. "You’ve been waiting for this mont for so long. That’s why you have to go to Illvaris and see your friends."

[Besides, if this ritual fails, she doesn’t have to see die with her own eyes,] Lorelle thought. [I’ve already told Leofric that if it fails, he shouldn’t tell Rosie right away, at least not until she’s back in Noctvaris.]

When Primrose heard Lorelle’s thoughts, she was startled and felt even sadder. It would have been better if Leofric sent the news to them imdiately instead of keeping it to himself.

"Oh, Rosie, please don’t look at like that," Lorelle said softly, brushing her fingers through Primrose’s hair. "You’ll make think I’m really going to die if you keep staring at with that face."
