Primrose blinked. Well... that kind of goal did sound nice.

Nina set the gown aside and picked up the next one. It was a black velvet gown with silver embroidery shaped like crescent moons.

"Hm... mysterious, enchanting... but still too dark," Nina murmured. "We can’t have a dress that makes you look like you’re about to start a war."

She circled the rows of gowns a few tis before stopping in front of a ruby-red dress trimd with white along the sleeves and down the center.

The embroidery on the gown was stitched with silver accents, making it match her tiara perfectly. anwhile, the eralds would create a beautiful contrast against the gown and her hair color.

"This one is perfect!" Nina exclaid, unable to hide her excitent. She checked every inch of the dress and said, "I’ll probably need to fix a few parts. Your Majesty, would you allow to stay here tonight?"

[Honestly, I also want to save money on lodging. It costs an arm and a leg when winter cos,] Nina thought. [Besides... if I stay here, maybe I can look for that music box.]

Primrose chuckled inwardly. Nina sounded so confident that she could sohow get her hands on the music box, but the queen always kept that ancient item close, close enough to guard, but never close enough for Nina to see.

"Of course, Lady Nina." Primrose smiled warmly. "I’ll tell the maids to prepare a room for you." She hesitated for a mont, then added, "And... what about my husband’s outfit?"

Nina froze, finally realizing that the queen wouldn’t be attending the banquet alone. But could she really be blad? Won’s outfits were always so much more beautiful and detailed than n’s, even if it was royal attire.

She looked over the King’s clothes just a few tis before deciding, "His Majesty can wear that one," she said confidently. "I’ll only need to add a brooch and a sash."

She pointed at the black royal attire with silver embroidery. Since a king wouldn’t wear a tiara, Nina probably chose the one that matched the queen’s gown the best.

Well, Edmund didn’t seem to care much about what kind of royal attire he would be wearing anyway. Besides, no matter what he wore, he would always look incredibly handso.

"I’ll let His Majesty know," Primrose said softly.

Now that Nina had chosen their outfits for the banquet, Primrose shifted the topic. "Lady Nina, I also noticed that you seed interested in the item my husband bought at the auction this afternoon."

Nina froze the mont she heard that. She took a deep breath, then slowly turned toward the queen. "Yes, the music box. That was what I wanted."

[Why is she suddenly bringing this up?] Nina clicked her tongue in her mind, clearly annoyed that Primrose was reminding her of sothing she couldn’t get.

"Then I must apologize for taking sothing you wanted, Lady Nina," Primrose said gently.

Even though she was fuming in her mind, Nina spoke calmly on the outside. "You didn’t steal anything, Your Majesty. It was an auction, and you got the music box fair and square." She then added, "But Your Majesty... may I ask why you wanted that music box?"

Primrose tilted her head, smiling. "It wasn’t . It was actually my husband who wanted it." She continued with a simple lie, "He enjoys collecting old artifacts."

Nina furrowed her brows. [That’s it? I lost such an important item just because His Majesty wanted to add it to his collection?!] She groaned internally. [Fucking hell!]

"What about you, Lady Nina?" Primrose asked. "Why did you want that music box? Do you collect items like that too?"

Nina went silent for a mont before saying, "It’s not for collecting, but for research."

Primrose raised an eyebrow. "Research?"

Nina nodded politely. "Yes, Your Majesty. I just enjoy learning about the age of certain items or the history behind them."

[History, my ass. I only want to destroy it,] Nina cursed inwardly. [At least I’ve already destroyed the other relics, only two are left. And damn it, I don’t even know anything about the last one.]

Why was she so determined to destroy these ancient relics? From the outside, the music box didn’t even look important, nor did it give off any special magical energy.

"Maybe... I can show the music box to you later," Primrose said with a soft smile. "Perhaps after the banquet."

Since Nina kept insisting the music box was no ordinary item, Primrose began to think she shouldn’t keep it too close for too long.

It might bring bad luck, and if she wanted to understand what was truly going on, letting Nina interact with the music box might be the best way.

"Your Majesty, would you like to take a bath?" Marielle asked. "I can prepare hot water for you."

Primrose thought for a mont before replying, "I’ll bathe, but I think I’ll use the bathhouse. So you don’t have to prepare the hot water."
