Primrose waited outside the dungeon for thirty minutes. Honestly, she had expected Garrick to break much sooner. She thought he would rush to reveal everything about Averon the mont Edmund began his interrogation.

After all, Edmund’s thods were anything but gentle. There was nothing "kind" or "pleasant" about the way he pulled answers from prisoners. Still, he had never explained the details to her, and Primrose had never asked.

Well, as long as they got answers, no matter the thod, Primrose didn’t really care.

The Duke of Obsidia was trash anyway, and the only things one could do with trash were to throw it away or burn it.

Another fifteen minutes slipped by before Edmund finally erged from the dungeon. Primrose saw no blood on his hands or clothes, which likely ant Edmund hadn’t done anything that would leave visible wounds.

It seed Lazarus knew Edmund had dirtied his dungeon the last ti, so her father must have warned him very clearly not to dirty the place again.

Whatever Edmund had done, it appeared he had obtained important information.

"What did you find?" Primrose asked. She glanced at Callen and gave him a small nod. Understanding the silent signal, Callen stepped away, leaving the couple alone.

Once Callen had walked a reasonable distance from them, Edmund spoke. "Garrick told that Averon has a special place where he keeps his ’special’ slaves," Edmund said. "And from the sound of it, their lives are even worse than those of concubines."

Primrose clenched her teeth softly. She shifted her weight, an uneasy feeling creeping into her chest. "Did he tell you where that place is?"

"The palace," Edmund replied. "But unfortunately, Averon keeps it hidden from outsiders. Only he... or perhaps the Queen of Azria, knows about it."

Primrose fell silent. Averon might never have told Bianca directly about such a place. However, Primrose was certain Bianca had watched her husband in secret.

Bianca was the type of person who always ddled in other people’s affairs. Therefore, Primrose had no doubt the queen would do anything to uncover her husband’s secrets.

"Should we go now?" Primrose asked after a mont. "If we leave soon, we can arrive before dinner."

Since they were going there to report soone posing as the King of Azria, their sudden appearance at the palace would not seem strange.

Why did Primrose want to go at dusk? Because the fading light made it easier for their soldiers to observe the palace secretly.

Besides, she still had unfinished business with the Duke of Obsidia and his entourage.

"Alright. We’ll leave before sunset," Edmund agreed. Then he asked, "What about Garrick? Do you want them gone imdiately?"

Primrose shrugged. "We already have what we need. I doubt he knows anything else useful." She paused, then added, "Let’s send them away." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "But you did what we talked about the last ti... didn’t you?"

Edmund nodded. "Of course. You don’t need to worry."

It would be suspicious if the Duke of Obsidia happened to suffer an ’accident’ while still too close to the Kingdom of Azria.

That was why Primrose and Edmund had arranged a false scenario. Edmund had instructed his soldiers to disguise themselves as Garrick and his n, staying at a luxury inn in the city near the palace.

Once Garrick was sent away from Illvaris, the fake group would also depart. That way, people would believe Garrick had only just left Azria today.

"That’s good." Primrose smiled brightly. "Then we can send them away now. I’m already sick of knowing those scumbags are staying so close to my ho."

Primrose then walked back into the dungeon without hesitation. The mont Garrick saw her and Edmund return, his entire body tensed. Fear instantly flooded his face.

As Edmund stepped past the bars, Garrick instinctively grabbed his own hand, and his fingers trembled violently.

Primrose looked at his fingers in silence.

Ah.

So that was how Edmund had gotten the information from him. It seed like he broke the duke’s fingers one by one, joint by joint, until he was no longer willing to keep any secrets in his head.

"W-what do you want?" Garrick stamred, his voice shaking. His eyes were wide, glassy with terror. "I’ve told you everything! I swear to God!"

Edmund’s expression did not change. "I believe you," he said calmly. The words, though gentle in tone, carried no warmth. "That’s why, we’re going to set you free."

Garrick frowned, staring at Edmund in confusion. [Is he mocking ?]

[Release ? How could he possibly let go now?]

[I’ve seen his face. I know I’m being held inside the Duke of Illvaris’s residence.]

[If he frees ... shouldn’t he be afraid I’ll tell everyone?]

"R-r-really?" Garrick stamred. "T-thank you, Your Majesty! I promise I won’t tell anyone about this! I’ll take this secret to my grave!"

But his thoughts betrayed him instantly. [The mont I’m far from this place, I’ll expose everything.]

[I’ll tell the whole world the Lycan King dared to imprison .]

[I’ll tell the Emperor, and I’ll make them pay!]

Primrose rolled her eyes. Of course, the words of a scumbag could never be trusted.

"Oh, you don’t need to worry about that, Your Grace," Primrose finally said. She stepped closer to the cell until she stood directly before the iron bars. "After all, you won’t rember anything about this."

For a split second, Garrick didn’t understand what she ant. But the mont he t Primrose’s eyes, he froze.

His body stiffened, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not pull his gaze away. It felt as though unseen hands had seized his head, locking him in place.

"Your Grace," she said softly, "after leaving the King of Azria’s banquet, you traveled to the luxury inn near the palace. You spent several days there, resting and enjoying yourself with your n."

Her words flowed smoothly, slipping into his mind like a calm tide. "You were never here, you never saw , and you never saw my husband."

Garrick’s lips parted slightly. His eyes, once filled with fear, slowly grew empty.

"There was no dungeon," Primrose continued gently. "No one is torturing you, no one is threatening you, and no one is harming you."

Primrose’s golden eyes glead as brightly as the sun. "You will rember this as the truth," she whispered. Then, she added, "I command you."
