"Don’t you know him very well? How could you not even know this?"

"..."

’I really don’t know.’

The only thing he could be sure of was that if he had truly created the Void Technique Space, it must have been after he had gone from Extraordinary to Saint. This was because, at that point in ti—eting secretly with the Saintess—the version of him in the dream had no knowledge of the Void Technique Space.

Sean’s mind raced. He pressed her, "Why did he create the Void Technique Space?"

"To discuss scholarship and find a way to break through the limits of the human body," Elvire answered. "This thod was called the Path of Divinity. During the Era of Polymath, it was the lifelong pursuit of all Grand Mages."

"Did they succeed?"

"I don’t know."

"What about Carl Black?"

"I don’t know."

"What happened to him and the Saintess in the end?"

"...I don’t know."

Sean said, dissatisfied, "How can you not know anything?"

Elvire: "?"

’And now you’re blaming ?’

She found this guy had so many questions, like he was playing twenty questions. An annoyed expression appeared on her pretty face. "Are you trying to interview for a story or sothing?"

Sean: "..."

’That’s actually a pretty good excuse.’

"I’m done talking. I have a eting to get to." The awakening of one’s consciousness, much like mory recovery, happens in stages. Elvire did, in fact, know so things about the story of Carl Black and the Church Saintess. However, for personal reasons, she was reluctant to bring them up. Ti was also a factor; she couldn’t keep chatting with Sean, or she’d be late.

Sean had no choice but to let it go. He couldn’t hold her up from important matters.

Elise smiled and said, "You can co with us. You probably can’t get into the Holy Sanctuary, but you can look around the area."

Outside the Hall of Truth was a small plaza. Many people liked to gather and chat there, hoping for a chance to enter the Holy Sanctuary, so it was always bustling. It was one of the few havens for these ill-fated Wizards.

Sean nodded obediently, but inwardly, his mind was already turning with his own sches.

’He didn’t quite agree with Elise.’

’It made sense that ordinary Wizards faced restrictions to enter the Holy Sanctuary. They were "outsiders," after all.’

’But he was different. He was the "Master."’

’According to the Fla Crow Maiden, the Void Technique Space was his ho, and the Hall of Truth was just a door in that ho. Outsiders couldn’t open it, but that didn’t necessarily an he, the Master, couldn’t.’

’I have to find a chance to try.’

Initially, Sean hadn’t paid much attention to the so-called treasure trove of knowledge inside the Holy Sanctuary. It wasn’t that he was uninterested—no one would turn down more powerful Magic. It was just that he needed Magic Power more urgently right now. Otherwise, his Tier would be too low. Even if he understood the principles behind High-tier Magic, he wouldn’t be able to cast it. He’d just be a master of theory.

Sean was never one to bite off more than he could chew.

But after learning that he might have created the Void Technique Space himself, his perspective shifted. ’Those are all *my* treasures.’

Although he had used the Truth Technique to temporarily shake Quill’s spies, his situation was far from safe. As long as the Witch Hunt Operation continued, he could face an even greater crisis at any mont.

He had to make use of every available resource to increase his own power as quickly as possible.

「Arriving at the small plaza.」

The two won parted ways with Sean and entered the Hall of Truth.

Just as Elise had said, the plaza was crowded. If you ignored the translucent, illusory quality of the people and buildings, the place was no different from a bustling, noisy pedestrian street in any major city. The only thing missing was the vibrant color of reality. Sean even saw people setting up stalls by the roadside.

’Isn’t the Void Technique Space an illusory world built purely from ntal Power? How can people do business here?’

He walked over to a young stall owner to ask.

"New here?" The curly-haired young man grinned. "Can’t you see my stall is full of ’paintings’?"

In reality, however, he wasn’t selling the paintings themselves, but the Magic Potions depicted in them.

Business here didn’t require imdiate paynt or delivery. In a fictional world, it was impossible to exchange goods for cash on the spot. The transaction thod was more like online shopping: after agreeing on a price, both parties would leave their paynt account details and a delivery address. The two parties never t offline. For security reasons, many Wizards used false information when making deals to avoid revealing their hideouts.

"I see." A look of understanding crossed Sean’s face.

"I’m Charles. Want to be friends?" The curly-haired young man extended a hand toward Sean. He didn’t look down on Sean for being a newcor, as he himself had only recently beco a Wizard. His specialty was Alchemy; he made all the Magic Potions in the paintings himself.

"Doesn’t that an their effects can’t be guaranteed?" Sean joked. "I’m Sean."

"Hey, don’t look down on ! My Talent is very high. Even my teacher often calls a genius," Charles retorted. Then, he suddenly paused, a strange look on his face. "Wait a second, what did you say your na was? Sean?"

Sean was confused. "Is there a problem?"

Charles: "Which Sean?"

Sean: "..."

"Sean... as in, the na Sean?"

Charles: "..."

He was speechless for a mont. "Did you... write *Moon and Knight*?"

Sean was taken aback. ’What’s going on?’

’Have I run into one of my readers?’

Sean, being cautious, didn’t answer right away. Instead, he asked a question of his own, "Are you a fan of his?"

Charles nodded. "Yeah."

Sean pressed, "How big of a fan?"

Charles: "I’m such a big fan, I’m practically a hater."

Sean: "?"

’Shit, a hater?’

At that mont, he was still an author at heart. Even with the new identity of a Wizard, he couldn’t just shed his old life so quickly. He couldn’t help but fall back on his professional instincts, subconsciously defending his work. "I don’t rember there being anything in the book to get angry about, is there?"
