"Who are you?"
Yang Yan didn't speak quietly just now, so these people heard him clearly.
As soon as these police officers saw him approaching, they imdiately drew their guns and unlocked the safety.
"I warn you, stay where you are. Otherwise, we'll shoot."
A police officer shouted at Yang Yan.
"Tsk tsk! I'm so scared! But go ahead, shoot! I want to see if you guys have the guts to pull the trigger."
Yang Yan snorted disdainfully, saying this while continuing to walk towards them.
"Damn it! What's up with this guy? Is he really not afraid of us shooting?"
One officer whispered to his partner.
"Not sure. But be careful, don't shoot."
"This guy is from Huaxia, and there are surveillance caras here. If anything happens, we might end up in jail."
Another officer said nervously.
"See, if you guys don't have the guts to shoot, then don't even pull your guns out. Look, isn't this embarrassing?"
Yang Yan walked up to the officers, smiling and teasing them.
He then turned to the man who had co to get his car and smiled:
"And you! We already said there are caras here; do you really think we'd be dumb enough to hand over the footage to these officers?"
Upon hearing Yang Yan expose his thoughts, the man's heart began to race.
The main thing was, he realized this Asian young man was truly fearless, not at all worried the officers would actually fire.
Bear in mind, forget being Asian; even if he were a local white person, these officers have shot a fair number!
Smack!
With a crisp sound, Yang Yan slapped the man across the face.
While in a daze, he heard that calm voice:
"Pay up and drive your car out of here!"
"If I catch you causing trouble here again, I'll skin you alive."
This slap not only stunned the man but also left the officers dumbfounded.
They had never seen soone so brazen, daring to act like this right in front of them.
Keep in mind; they had already drawn their guns, the safeties were off.
"What are you looking at? Do you think I wouldn't slap you too? Or do you think I don't know you guys are in cahoots?"
"This is your last warning: before I lose my temper, you better scram! Otherwise, I'll slap you all together."
Yang Yan looked at the officers, arrogantly saying this.
Hearing his words, the officers exchanged glances, uncertain.
They weren't sure if Yang Yan had any backing, but from his behavior, he seed truly unafraid of them.
Uncertain of Yang Yan's identity, they dared not make a move.
After a mont's hesitation, they shuffled off in embarrassnt.
Even the man hurriedly paid up and left in defeat.
"Thank you."
Wang Xue approached to say to Yang Yan.
If Yang Yan hadn't been here today, who knows how this would have ended.
"Do we really need to be so formal? Aren't we family?"
Yang Yan replied with a smile.
Upon hearing his words, Wang Xue seed to recall sothing, and her face reddened.
She didn't say anything further, instead turning to walk inside.
"What's up with Wang Xue? Is she lovesick? No way! With a handso guy like around, how could she think of soone else?"
Yang Yan furrowed his brow slightly, turning to speak to Shiya Jie.
"Have you no sha?"
Shiya Jie glared at Yang Yan, speaking irritably.
"Look at you talking."
Yang Yan chuckled indifferently, then said earnestly:
"Face is rely an external thing, take it or leave it. Besides, I didn't bring a face when I went out today."
"But you, weren't you just a little bit chard by my dashing display earlier?"
Faced with Yang Yan's shalessness, Shiya Jie was left speechless.
She turned her head, promptly heading inside.
Seeing Shiya Jie seemingly chard by his handsoness, Yang Yan couldn't help but sigh.
A man as handso and capable as himself is one of a kind in this world!
Why doesn't this woman know to appreciate it?
After following her inside, Yang Yan heard Wang Xue asking Shiya Jie if she would go or not.
"Going where? Where are you guys going?"
Yang Yan looked at them, furrowing his brows.
Before Shiya Jie could reply, Wang Xue quickly said:
"Well, Xiaoqian's friend is getting married, and she's invited her to be a bridesmaid."
"Xiaoqian wants the two of us to go as well. I've agreed to go with Xiaoqian, and now I'm asking Yajie if she wants to join us!"
While speaking, Wang Xue tugged at Shiya Jie, clearly hoping she'd agree with her.
Unfortunately, Shiya Jie disappointed her.
She gently shook her head:
"Xue, I don't really want to go. I always feel out of place at such gatherings, it's too uncomfortable, so I'll pass!"
Wang Xue frowned, disappointed:
"Okay, we'll only be gone for a few days. As for the store, let's just close down temporarily for the ti being!"
While saying this, Wang Xue glanced aningfully at Yang Yan.
"When are you leaving?"
Though Yang Yan noticed Wang Xue's suggestive look, he pretended not to and asked calmly.
"We're leaving now. The place is in San Francisco, a bit far from here."
Zhang Qian replied imdiately.
"Yeah! Xiaoqian got the call last night. We would have left last night if we weren't waiting for that person to collect the car today."
Wang Xue added promptly.
"Alright then, you guys go ahead! I'll handle things here. I'll lock up and head back in a bit."
Shiya Jie smiled.
Zhang Qian's friend must an a lot to her, you could tell by how she hurriedly pulled Wang Xue along.
Once they left, only Yang Yan and Shiya Jie were left in the store.
They sat facing each other, and the atmosphere grew awkward.
"Uh, about last night..."
Yang Yan thought for a while, then decided to break the silence.
"Last night? Nothing happened last night."
Shiya Jie imdiately denied upon hearing Yang Yan's words.
Yang Yan chuckled lightly:
"Ah! Why deceive yourself? You say nothing happened last night, so did I have an illusion or what?"
