Seeing several figures gathering outside the enormous window panels, Ruvian narrowed his eyes. He could feel that the air outside the glass started to distort from the amount of mana gathering in one place.
A few magic circles began to appear one after another, overlapping as multiple spells were prepared at the sa ti.
So of the attackers stood on the wall. While others moved closer through the air, stopping right in front of the tall glass panels of the VIP lounge.
Their hands remained raised, holding their spells steady as the circles slowly grew brighter.
Ruvian inhaled deeply.
’Haa... they’re really coming straight with force.’
Even from inside, the overwhelming concentration of mana could be clearly felt.
The window was protected by a magic barrier, but Ruvian did not think it would last long against such a focused attack.
Because the enchantnt was strong enough to block normal attacks, but not strong enough to stop many spellcasters attacking the sa spot together.
Thinking this, Ruvian calmly stepped a few paces back from the window. His movents were slow and calm, showing no sign of panic.
"Silvena, this is the sign for us to consu the potion now."
"Alright."
Silvena gave a small nod and swiftly retrieved the potion from her dinsional storage.
Ruvian did the sa and drank it in one go.
As the liquid went down his throat, he felt a change in his body.
The potion would raise a person’s strength to the next rank for a short ti, which ant Ruvian was no longer a Third-Class Magus.
He was now close to a Second-Class Magus.
However, the effect would not last long — only a few minutes. Therefore, he had to manage the fight carefully and finish it quickly.
With a calm focus, he gathered the mana around his body as he raised one hand slightly.
[Magic Barrier]
A thin, transparent layer of magic ford around him. The faint surface of the barrier shimred softly, covering his body like a shield.
Silvena, who stood slightly next to him, also did the sa.
At that exact mont...
Boom!
A loud explosion shook the lounge as several spells struck the window at the sa ti. The reinforced glass trembled under the force, as cracks began to spread across the surface.
Then the window finally broke.
Crash!
The entire glass panel shattered violently, pieces flying inward in every direction. The sound of breaking glass echoed loudly as the attackers forced their way inside.
Several figures rolled forward the mont they crossed the broken window, using the movent to reduce the force of their landing.
Then, their bodies quickly stabilized as they pushed themselves up from the floor, standing firmly inside the VIP lounge. A few small pieces of broken glass continued to fall behind them.
From below, the sound of screaming could already be heard. Many voices mixed together as the crowd began to panic after hearing the loud explosion above them.
"Where did that explosion co from!?"
"Above! Cover your head!?"
"W-what is going on!?"
"The VIP lounges were being attacked!"
"H-hurry up and evacuate!"
The noise rose like waves, growing louder as fear spread through the hall.
However, Ruvian did not pay much attention to the chaos below. His focus remained on the countless figures standing inside the lounge now.
One look was enough for him to know they were demons disguised as humans. All of them wore simple masks, with only two holes for their eyes.
Carefully, he tried to feel the flow of their mana.
Most Greater Demons usually use dark mana.
If he could not feel any trace of pure mana from them, then it might an that one of them was a Greater Demon.
But then....
Surprisingly, none of the demons in the lounge showed any strength of a Greater Demon. Only Lesser and Elite.
’Hmm? Are they not here yet?’
Slowly he stepped forward.
At the sa ti, he slightly raised his left hand in front of Silvena, as if he was trying to protect her.
"W-who are you people and w-what do you want from us!?"
Silvena perfectly followed his lead.
"W-why are you attacking us?"
’Ho, she can also act well. Not bad.’
This was what they already planned beforehand.
By acting like a frightened fool, they could lower their enemy’s guard. It also gave them more ti to observe the situation carefully without alerting the demons.
Taking the chance, Silvena quietly focused her senses.
There were twenty enemies.
10 of them were Elite Demons.
And another 10 were Lesser Demons.
At that mont, one of the figures slowly stepped forward. Seeing how frightened Ruvian and Silvena looked, he believed the situation was already under their control.
His steps were calm, filled with confidence.
"Give us the scroll, if you value your life."
The demon laughed maniacally.
But Ruvian did not answer imdiately. Instead, he turned slightly toward Silvena and gave a small signal with his eyes.
Silvena imdiately understood.
Both of them gave a faint nod that was almost impossible to notice.
"Alright... we will give it to you," Ruvian said with a nervous voice, raising both of his hands.
"Just spare our life in return."
The figure showed a faint smile, clearly satisfied by the answer.
"Good choice."
He walked closer and extended his hand, waiting for the scroll.
"Now, where is the scroll?"
Silvena slowly stepped forward. Then, a faint flash of light appeared as she retrieved the scroll from her spatial ring.
"I have it with ..."
She said as she took another step closer.
"Good. Give it."
Then, at the exact mont when the distance beca ideal, when all the demons were within her range—
She couldn’t help but let out a venomous smile.
"Haa~ greedy and stupid... such a lovely mix you demons have."
"Huh—!?"
"What!?"
Then, a violent wave of wind suddenly burst outward from Silvena’s body as she instantly cast her spell.
[Wind Vortex]
Soon, the air inside the lounge twisted as if it had co alive.
Powerful currents began spinning rapidly, forming a raging vortex in the center of the room. The wind howled loudly as the pressure increased.
Curtains fluttered wildly.
The furniture trembled violently.
The entire space of the longue beca filled with chaotic airflow.
The twenty demons were caught completely off guard!
Their bodies were lifted from the ground as the rotating wind dragged them into the air, and spun them in different directions.
"FAHHH! What is this?!"
"What else, you fagot!?? We’ve been deceived!"
"Shit! Just hold your footing and resist the current!"
"THERE IS NO GODDAMN FOOTING, YOU FAGOT!!"
The demons scread as the vortex continued to grow stronger.
Silvena’s hand moved slowly in the air, guiding the violent vortex as if she was conducting an orchestra. The wind answered every motion of her fingers, shifting and twisting according to her will.
However, the strain on her face could be clearly seen, as she tried to maintain control over the unstable spell.
’Ugh... this is harder than I thought.’ she inwardly groaned.
Well, it was only natural for her to react that way. She had already admitted to Ruvian that she had not fully mastered this spell yet.
The amount of mana required was high, and controlling such a wide area while keeping the targets contained was not simple.
Even for soone of her level, maintaining stability under such chaotic conditions required great focus.
But they had no other choice.
Silvena slowly raised both of her hands higher. Then, with a decisive motion, she spread both of her hands apart.
Her right hand moved toward the right side of the room, while her left hand moved toward the opposite direction.
The vortex imdiately changed.
The spinning currents split into three powerful streams, pushing the demons apart, and separating them into three groups.
Ten figures were thrown violently toward the left side of the lounge. Their bodies struck the wall with heavy impact before sliding down against the polished surface.
At the sa ti, the other six were dragged toward the right side. The strong current hurled them across the room, slamming them into the opposite wall.
While the remaining four were thrown out of the wide window.
The sudden separation broke their formation completely.
Their bodies were still unsteady from the spinning motion, and the violent collision made it even harder for them to recover imdiately.
Silvena slowly lowered her hands.
With that, she turned slightly toward Ruvian, who stood a short distance behind her, holding tightly to the sofa.
Slowly, she let out her usual proud smirk.
"Done..."
"The right side is yours to take care of."
