Judging by the distance they had traveled, it would only take a few more minutes before they reached the entrance of the dungeon.
Those sounds were very loud.
And that was only because the inside of the carriage was so quiet.
There, sitting in front of him, leaning her head softly against Rosalin’s shoulder, was a certain shaless woman who had already fallen asleep almost the mont she stepped into the carriage.
In the soft morning light filtering through the window, her features appeared unusually gentle, looking so defenseless.
Silvena has never been a morning person. At such a sacred and wonderful hour, she would prefer to stay in bed, and wrapped under her blanket.
Other than the sleepy beauty peacefully enjoying her dreams in front of him, there was also this weird, monstrous woman staring directly at him with a burning focus.
Not even once!
Because her rigid stare was extrely uncomfortable!
Seeing how this red-haired girl clearly had no intention of surrendering in her one-sided staring contest, Ruvian finally decided to break the awkward silence.
Her eyes widened slightly, as if the question had touched sothing she had already been quietly considering for quite so ti. "Yes... if I am being honest, I am curious about it."
Rosalin shook her head gently, her movent small and careful so as not to disturb the sleeping Silvena leaning against her shoulder.
"Sotis, I prefer to find the answer by myself," she said calmly, without any attempt to decorate her words. "If I ask directly, then the answer will only be what you choose to tell ."
She paused for a brief mont, as if carefully arranging her thoughts into the simplest form possible.
"Also... whether you are Class E or Class A does not matter very much to ."
’Huh? She wanted to team up with too?’
"Why did you want to team up with ?"
"To learn..." she said honestly.
Rosalin simply spoke what she believed.
"No. You will not gain anything by observing ."
"You should not choose the wrong role model to follow. I am not soone you should observe."
"Actually, the reason I invited you to join this team today is because there is sothing I want to show you," he said in an easy tone.
Rosalin’s eyes showed a slight confusion as she listened to him.
Ruvian did not imdiately explain further.
Sowhere along her path, as she grew up, the spark inside her had slowly grown faint. It had not disappeared, but it was no longer shining as brightly when she was younger.
Rosalin continued looking at him, clearly trying to understand his aning, yet before she could speak again, the carriage gradually began to slow down.
Soon, the driver’s voice was heard from outside the carriage.
As ti dragged on the road, the carriages slowed down as they got closer to their destination.
Beyond the valley, the terrain slanted downward into shadowed ground where the entrance of the Deepmarch Dungeon was hidden away behind jagged stone ridges and sparse winter trees.
The outer zone was closest to the road where the carriages had stopped. This zone served as a preparatory area where horses were rested and where cargo was unloaded.
Then, there was the middle zone, where scholars would gather before proceeding into the dungeon.
’We’re finally here.’
