Now reading: Chapter 117: Daring to Dream and Daring to Do from The Necromancer's Fourth Catastrophe, a Fantasy novel by Silent Fish.

After explaining everything that needed to be explained to Xia Lin, he headed back to his Ancient Castle.

He planned to create a preliminary task and a team task for the players to start this quest.

Mage Fang Ka rushed back to the Ancient Castle and then prepared to release the preliminary task to the players.

Just at that mont, the second-floor window of Mr. Zhou’s small building not far away exploded suddenly.

A large amount of debris flew out, and the loud noise made Mage Fang Ka frown slightly.

He could sense that, along with the explosion, a rather violent wave of Magic Power emanated from inside.

He couldn’t help but wonder, what is Mr. Zhou up to?

Could it be...

Mage Fang Ka raised an eyebrow, pondered for a mont, and then stepped towards Mr. Zhou’s small building.

The door on the first floor of the small building was locked, but that was nothing to Mage Fang Ka; he used a Basic Level magic to break open the door.

He stepped inside.

As soon as he entered, Mage Fang Ka saw a chaotic scene.

The floor was littered with various square wooden boards, with many guesses and theories about magic written on them in red paint.

There were also sketches of armor and weapons.

In one corner of the room were many completed, exquisite pieces of armor and weapons.

Mage Fang Ka recognized this red paint as sothing the players concocted using resources on the island, previously used in architectural decorations.

After a quick glance, Mage Fang Ka stepped towards the staircase.

He followed the stairs up to the second floor and quickly found the source of the explosion.

It was a room whose door had been blown to pieces, with fragnts and debris everywhere inside.

Mage Fang Ka stepped inside, kicking aside the debris blocking his way, and his gaze began to inspect the room.

As he was surveying, a voice ca from the corner: "Is soone here? Please, save , save ..."

Mage Fang Ka directed his gaze there, where a large pile of debris was accumulating, the voice obviously coming from beneath it.

He had sensed a weak magic wave from underneath when he first entered the room.

In fact, upon entering, Mage Fang Ka had already understood that his guess was correct.

Mr. Zhou was secretly researching the Magic Domain.

It was clear now that he had been backlashed by a Magic Pattern, causing an explosion.

One could only wonder if Mr. Zhou had discovered anything, as achieving such a severe Magic Pattern backlash wasn’t sothing easily done.

Mage Fang Ka quickly reached the room’s corner, kicking aside the debris, soon uncovering a skull hidden beneath.

If this skull wasn’t Mr. Zhou, who else could it be?

Mage Fang Ka sighed slightly, then reached out and picked up Mr. Zhou’s skull.

As Mage Fang Ka did so, Mr. Zhou, who had his face against the floor, could now see clearly who had co.

"Mage Fang Ka...?"

To be honest, Mr. Zhou was quite surprised to see Mage Fang Ka.

Indeed, his residence was very close to Mage Fang Ka’s Ancient Castle and not far from the beach, and Mage Fang Ka often traveled between these two locations.

Logically speaking, the first one to arrive would indeed most likely be Mage Fang Ka, but to him, this wasn’t reality, it was a ga.

To players, Mage Fang Ka was just a high-AI NPC, and Mr. Zhou thought Mage Fang Ka wouldn’t care about events happening in a private player residence like his.

But the current scene clearly overturned his view. He couldn’t help but reflect on how remarkable the ga’s developer was; the NPC’s AI was designed to be so close to human reactions.

For a mont, he even wondered if the ga’s developer had a day job in AI developnt, and this ga was rely created to provide these intelligent AIs with a perfect environnt?

But now wasn’t the ti for such thoughts. Seeing that Mage Fang Ka hadn’t responded, he hurriedly continued, "Mage Fang Ka, could you help restore ?"

Upon hearing this, Mage Fang Ka nodded lightly, "That’s certainly not a problem, but... were you researching the Magic Domain?"

Mr. Zhou glanced awkwardly at Mage Fang Ka, "Mage Fang Ka, I didn’t expect you to see through it."

Mage Fang Ka examined Mr. Zhou’s skull in his hand, then continued to ask, "Hmm, it’s obvious your situation was a severe Magic Pattern backlash during Magic Domain research, easily recognizable. Did you discover anything?"

Hearing Mage Fang Ka’s words, Mr. Zhou’s thoughts stirred.

An NPC of such importance, possibly even a central ga character, suddenly asking about this? Was it because his research into the Magic Domain had triggered so hidden condition?

Was a hidden task about to appear?

Thinking of this, Mr. Zhou beca excited. He quickly said, "Yes, Mage Fang Ka, I was thinking of combining the Dark Elent with the Wood Elent to create a Fusion Magic..."

Hearing this, Mage Fang Ka was suddenly shocked; this guy didn’t lose out by being blown up at all.

Researching a single Magic Domain on its own is already quite dangerous, potentially fatal at any mont.

This guy dared to study two unrelated Magic Domains together, even wanting to combine them.

He’s truly daring both in thought and action.

In this world, that’s existed for countless years, with countless mages erging throughout history, why does this Fusion Magic not exist? It’s simple.

The mortality rate is too high.

Individually researching a Magic Domain to create a new magic is extrely dangerous.

If two separate Magic Domains are fused to create a magic that simultaneously embodies both domains,

the danger level isn’t just simple addition; it increases geotrically.

It’s like the forbidden scale for a mage - touch it and die.

No one, regardless of who they are, can delve deeply without facing death before any breakthrough.

He couldn’t help but reflect once more, these players are truly gems, they’re probably the only ones who can turn such impossibilities into reality, right?

Looking at Mr. Zhou’s skull in his hand, Mage Fang Ka reflected and asked, "So did you find any results in your research?"

Speaking of this, the Soul Fire in Mr. Zhou’s skull seed to burn a bit more brightly.

To be honest, he was truly in awe of the ga’s magic settings, finding them unbelievably realistic and intricate.

As if creating an entire academic field from nothing.

The more he researched, the more he discovered its astonishing depth and realistic responses.

Mr. Zhou couldn’t help but reflect on the ga’s company exceeding the universe with their imaginative concepts.
