That’s when Beiting Huang understood what Zhu Shu was really planning. If he had not encountered any opportunity, he would rather choose death. This was why, before Beiting Huang engaged with the Four Great Protectors, Zhu Shu insisted on being handed over to them.
“I also have a half-sister from the same father. She’s incredibly talented, a once-in-a-millennium genius of the Dark Demon World. Barely twenty years old, she has already broken through to the heaven stage and is sure to reach the Heaven Rank within a decade. Beiting Huang glanced contemptuously at Zhu Shu, “Why hasn’t your father led the Dark Demon Domain to defeat the Spirit Realm and the Otherworldly Evil Domain? If your father cannot acplish it, why could your sister, who is merely at the heaven stage, be expected to do so?”
“I hope she can acplish it. As long as she can, I am willing to exchange my life for such an opportunity for her,” Zhu Shu said earnestly.
Beiting Huang was momentarily speechless, “But one cannot simply live on hope alone. Even so, one should not live on hope given by others. I once had a friend who, like you, had mobility issues. You have not yet experienced the benefits power brings, but my friend was at the heaven stage before his accident. He lost his ability to stand while saving others, but he never wallowed in self-pity, nor did he ever give up hope of standing again.”
The cave was silent; the others didn’t know what to say. Eventually, an elderly villager from Green Mountain Village stood up, leaning on his cane, he approached Beiting Huang and gave a deep bow, “Young Master, bringing us to the border of the Dark Demon World is a debt of gratitude as weighty as a mountain. You do not need to trouble yourself further for our sake, nor distress this Young Master.”
Looking from Zhu Shu to the villagers of Green Mountain, Beiting Huang shook his head, “That won’t do. If I don’t make it difficult for him, wouldn’t my life-saving grace be in vain? I don’t like others owing me.”

Zhu Shu, who had been somewhat grateful to Beiting Huang, now had an ugly look on his face. He felt all the worry and fear he’d experienced during Beiting Huang’s battle with the Four Great Protectors had been for nothing.
Zhu Shu, helpless, spread his hands and scoffed, “Young Master, take a look and see if there’s anything of value on me. If there is, you’re wele to take it all!”
This meant, if you want me to repay the life-saving favor, there is nothing I can do; take this life if you want it or leave it!
The situation had reached a point where not only did the villagers from Green Mountain Village feel embarrassed, but Beiting Huang’s entourage of magical beasts also felt ashamed. If their opponent were a powerful expert, some contention would be justified, but quarreling with someone disabled, who was practically useless, was indeed losing face.
