Mrs. Gu Sr.’s drooping eyelids lifted slightly and then drooped again, taking in Mrs. Gao’s expression at a glance.
Yet, she did not speak first and remained silent.
"Yixuan, you must have heard what was said earlier. Sister Ning is lying next door now, having fallen into the water today, and the physician diagnosed that she has disturbed her fetus," Mrs. Gao felt numb, took a deep breath, and looked intensely at the shocked Gu Yixuan, "She only said that when you went to the Marquis Mansion, you promised her in the back garden that you would be good to her for a lifeti."
Sitting at the head, Mrs. Gu Sr. had a gloomy face, "Disturbed her fetus? It sounds like you an Sister Ning is pregnant, and Yixuan is responsible?"
