Now reading: Chapter 178 178: Turning Guilliman into a Cream Puff from The Only Player in Warhammer, a Action novel by AbsoluteCode.

A deep, resonant vibration shook both the material universe and the Warp, sweeping through every dinsion and every point in the void. It was the lant of space itself—a groan under an unbearable burden, the trembling of reality being forcibly stretched and torn apart.

The Imperial fleet felt it first. Whether massive battleships or nimble escorts, every keel creaked faintly amid the invisible tremors. Monts later, the majestic fortress complexes in the distance and the daemons of the Ruinous Powers also sensed the vibration and unleashed uneasy roars.

Between the Imperial fleet and the desecrated daemon fortresses, space grew unstable. It was as if an invisible colossal hand from a higher dinsion was repeatedly ravaging it—stretching and contracting in defiance of physical laws.

The fabric of reality was stretched to its limit, silently screaming.

Finally, with a sharp shuu sound, a spatial rift stretching to the edge of sight was forcibly torn open. Inside the rift was neither darkness nor the colorful chaos of the Warp, but pure nothingness—as if all chaos and disorder had been compressed to zero.

Right after, magnificent warships and void fortresses appeared one after another. Their scale was in no way inferior to the creations summoned by gods of other dinsions. Each was extraordinarily grand, possessing an unimaginable sense of presence.

There were super-large warships whose main bodies were perfect equilateral triangles, with side lengths asured in astronomical units. Most striking was their core: not a reactor, but a high-temperature main-sequence star bound by a force field.

The star's energy was greedily absorbed and converted through energy conduit arrays that flowed across the warship's surface like living circuits, providing the colossal vessel with an endless power source.

Not far away, a grand structure composed of multiple overlapping concentric rings rotated silently. At its center was not a physical entity, but a stable artificial singularity—a massive black hole emitting a dark, viscous attractive force from which even light could not escape.

The ring-shaped structure was covered in gravity manipulation devices and spaceti distortion engines of incomprehensible complexity. Through these technological marvels, the guided black hole was no longer a source of destruction, but a battery and anchor of annihilation.

And this was only the tip of the iceberg.

There were enormous starships with magnificent hulls that imprisoned blue giant stars within their internal structures. There were war fortresses shaped like polyhedral crystals, each facet reflecting different physical constants, their main fraworks forged from neutron star material. There were also mothership fleets composed entirely of fluid, intelligent liquid tal that could freely change shape…

The scale of these warships and fortresses was in no way inferior to those created by the Warp gods. They floated in the void, radiating a cold, rational, and indisputably absolute dignity. They were ultimate weapons condensed from the very laws of the physical universe.

Every warship and fortress bore the eagle emblem of the Human Alliance, proving that this was the upgraded Human Alliance fleet.

The mont the fleet appeared, a voice that ignored the laws of vacuum and Warp barriers resounded directly in the ears of every living being—whether loyal humans, mad daemons, bewildered traitors, or the wills of the evil gods lurking behind the scenes.

"My brethren, no matter which universe you are in, no matter how indescribable the darkness or how powerful the enemies you face, never forget that the Human Federation will always be your greatest support.

As long as you, as a human, issue a request for aid, the Human Alliance Fleet will surely cross the walls of dinsions and arrive at the fastest speed.

Please rember: in every universe, humanity is the supre race. We are destined to conquer the stars and dominate all universes.

Any alien race or civilization that attempts to obstruct this great voyage will be reduced to ruins by the cannon fire of the Human Alliance Fleet. Their existence will be erased from the flow of ti, leaving not even a trace."

This sacred and dignified declaration echoed throughout the entire Ax System like a resounding bell, reverberating in the hearts of every human and daemon.

"Uwooooooh!!!"

Countless daemons—Bloodletters of Khorne, Plaguebearers of Nurgle, Dreadlords of Tzeentch, Daemonettes of Slaanesh—clung to the fortresses and roared toward the human Imperium, screaming to vent their terror.

anwhile, the traitors were completely stunned. They stared wide-eyed at the human fleet radiating overwhelming aura from the galactic fringe, their minds blank.

Even the four Chaos Gods lurking deep in the Warp were shocked by the appearance of the Human Alliance Fleet.

Where on earth had the Imperium obtained such a massive fleet, with every single ship a colossal warship? Each vessel emanated an aura capable of destroying anything. They were destroyers and, at the sa ti, the supre guardians of human civilization. Their sole purpose was to protect humanity.

Even the ancient C'ta, Zarhulash, caused an abnormally violent fluctuation at this mont. Even during the War in Heaven that once engulfed the entire System, no fleet capable of arbitrarily binding and controlling stars and celestial bodies had ever appeared.

Just what kind of existence was the Naless One, and why could he summon such a large-scale fleet? Blue giants, black holes, neutron stars—terrifying celestial bodies of imnse mass—had all been bound and transford into weapons.

Even if the current fractured state had weakened it, even in its complete pri form, it probably could not withstand this. This was a power beyond human control. It was divine.

Only when all of humanity beca gods and could freely alter the paraters and laws of the universe would they be able to construct such a fleet.

The Aeldari Seer Natase stood by the viewport, shocked by the appearance of the Human Alliance Fleet. He had to grab a nearby wraithbone pillar to maintain his balance. An expression of pure terror appeared on his face.

If the fact that a sepsis patient had transford into an Angel of Life had already brought him despair regarding the path to the Aeldari's revival, then… the fleet towering before him did not even allow him the luxury of feeling despair.

Even at the peak of the Aeldari Empire, when it dominated the System and its webway faced no obstacles, it paled in comparison to this power.

On the Imperial side as well, countless Imperial commanders and soldiers were similarly shocked. For a long ti, they were speechless, their minds blank.

Guilliman stood on the bridge of the Macragge's Honour. On his usually stern face was an unprecedented level of shock. His pupils were dilated to the maximum, reflecting the massive warships floating outside the window. His lips, normally pressed tightly together, were slightly parted, and his jaw seed to have lost control and could no longer close properly. He even wondered for a mont if his jawbone had dislocated.

He was a veteran who had experienced countless battles and witnessed many miracles and horrors. Yet what he saw now completely overturned his understanding of the limits of human power.

Tribune Carken, a mber of the Imperial Fists known for pragmatism and composure, did sothing afterward that even he himself could hardly believe. He raised his hand and slapped his own face with full force.

Smack!

The burning, stinging pain on his cheek made it clear—this was not a dream; it was reality.

Sicarius, the Chapter Masters, Admirals, Archmagi of the chanicus… all the high-ranking Imperial commanders unconsciously perford the sa action. With dry, constricted throats, they struggled to swallow nonexistent saliva.

Just what kind of existence were they fighting alongside?

Faithful Emperor, if you care for your own sake, stand up, raise a toast, and make way for the Naless Ones.

anwhile, on the planet Ax, the surface was shrouded in thick clouds of plague.

The Primarch Mortarion, who had been excited by the display of the Warp gods' power and believed victory was certain, witnessed through the supernatural forces of the Warp the sight of the Human Alliance Fleet descending from the galactic outer rim.

The arrogant and cruel smile on his face froze, stiffened, and completely vanished.

This fleet used the emblem of a single-headed eagle, which bore a slight resemblance to the Imperium's double-headed eagle. However, their technological approach and design style were completely different.

This was by no ans sothing born from the human Imperium, nor from any technological era of humanity.

Could it be that even if all four veteran Warp admirals combined their strength, they still could not secure victory? Damn it, just what was the true identity of that Naless existence? Could it be the creator god of this universe?

...

Inside the bridge of the Macragge's Honour, a loud buzz sounded, pulling everyone back from shock to reality.

The communications officer's voice was filled with unbelievable excitent.

"Your Excellency! We have received a non-standard encrypted communication request from the newly appeared fleet."

Guilliman suddenly turned around, strode back to the central command room, and said in a low voice, "Connect imdiately!"

"Yes, understood!"

The main holographic projection area of the command console glowed brightly. Countless data streams flickered, restructured, and finally stabilized.

A clear holographic image erged from empty space, showing a male officer in a well-tailored, simple dark-gray military uniform.

He stood tall and straight like a pine tree, with a face full of determination, sharp eagle-like eyes, and an absolute rational composure between his brows. On his shoulder insignia, the emblem of a single eagle surrounded by stars was clearly visible.

"I am Admiral Victor Hawke, Supre Commander of the Seventh Fleet of the Human Alliance."

The projected officer spoke with an indisputably dignified voice.

"Our unit has responded to the mobilization request and arrived at the designated coordinates. Please verify your identity and confirm the legitimacy of the mobilization request."

Guilliman took a deep breath and spoke seriously.

"I am Roboute Guilliman, Regent of the Imperium of Man, Lord of the Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar, and Primarch of the Ultramarines Legion.

It was we who summoned your fleet to achieve victory in the war against the Chaos Gods and the traitors."

Victor Hawke slightly narrowed his eyes as he quickly observed Guilliman's face, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Imperium behind him, the clothing of the people on the bridge, and the surrounding environnt.

At the sa ti, the Seventh Fleet scanned the Imperium of Man invisibly…

The authentication protocols passed normally.

Victor nodded lightly. "Identity verification passed. The genetic sequence characteristics and psionic traces et human standards.

Welco to the Human Federation, Roboute Guilliman. Please provide a specific explanation of the current threats and operational objectives."

Guilliman, excited, imdiately displayed a real-ti tactical star map of the Ax System and highlighted the areas where the desecrated fortresses and daemon seas spread.

"Admiral Victor, look at this star System—especially the central planet Ax. It has been completely corrupted by the power of the Chaos Gods.

They not only pollute reality with plague but also create a Warp that defies the laws of the universe, seeking to permanently enslave, corrupt, and even exterminate humanity.

Our goal is to purify Ax, destroy all Chaos strongholds and ritual cores here, defeat their leaders, and reclaim this starfield for humanity!"

Victor's projection shifted slightly, turning toward the marked area. While his think tank conducted threat assessnts, tactical simulations, and compliance checks on the Ax System, he remained silent for a mont.

After a while, Victor nodded.

"Threat confird. The objective is to eliminate anomalous virtual entities and purify the contaminated star region.

This mission complies with the Civilization Survival Agreent – Mutual Aid Clause and the Basic Principles for High-Dinsional Contamination Counterasures.

The Seventh Fleet of the Human Federation accepts the operational request from Regent Roboute Guilliman."

Having said that, Victor's avatar assud a rigid attention posture and lightly tapped the left side of his chest near the heart with his right fist.

His voice, transmitted clearly through the communication channel, echoed inside every warship of the Imperial fleet:

"May the wisdom of humanity illuminate the path ahead, and may the courage of humanity shatter all darkness. May the glory of humanity endure forever!"

Guilliman raised his right arm, covered by a precisely designed power fist, clenched his fist, and placed it before his chest.

"May the glory of humanity endure forever!"

On the bridge, Carken, Sicarius, all the officers, technical elites, honor guards… everyone present.

Regardless of whether they fully understood the significance of this mysterious fleet, they were moved by this resonance that transcended spaceti and belonged to humanity.

They all straightened their backs, raised their arms or gripped their weapons, and shouted in unison:

"May the glory of humanity endure forever!"

The sound waves reverberated across the bridge, sweeping away the previous fear and gloom.

Imdiately after, Victor's projection gave a light bow and vanished.

And then, the Human Alliance Fleet opened fire.

There was no ear-piercing warning roar, nor any dazzling prelude of energy accumulation.

The attack was carried out silently and lethally.

On the surface of the enormous triangular starship encircling the star, the energy transmission arrays covering tens of thousands of square kiloters of hull lit up simultaneously.

The star's energy was instantly extracted, concentrated, and transford into a beam spanning tens of thousands of kiloters in diater.

It was a super-gigantic beam composed solely of controlled nuclear fusion flas and high-energy particle streams. Like the spear thrown by a sun god in myth, it silently sliced through the void and struck precisely at the Warp fortress shaped like a gigantic rotting eye.

The mont of contact, the blasphemous force fields on the fortress's surface shattered like eggshells, triggering a terrifying chain explosion.

The daemons possessing the fortress were instantly annihilated, their ear-piercing screams echoing.

Everyone, including Guilliman, widened their eyes at the sight.

A beam with a diater of tens of thousands of kiloters—what did that even an?

The Imperium's fleet would be completely obliterated by even a single wave of such an attack.

They felt as if their knees had been shot out from under them and wanted to kneel before this human fleet.

Was this so kind of power that humans could control?!

Zarhulash quietly abandoned its usual rough deanor and beca obedient and sensible.

These humans were truly terrifying.

The traitors in the Ax System were also at a loss. Was there any point in continuing this battle? It was 100% unnecessary. They were completely dood.

As everyone watched in stunned disbelief, the other warships of the Human Alliance began to display their respective capabilities.

So emitted beams that distorted the flow of ti, instantly exposing targets to the ravages of natural weathering over millions of years. Others released stable realspace fields that forcibly assimilated matter within a certain range and converted it into harmless inert elents. Dinsional vibration bombs were deployed, triggering chain reactions of spatial fragntation after detonation.

...

The attack thods were diverse, but each demonstrated the pinnacle of understanding and application of physical laws. Each possessed the power to easily destroy planets or even stars.

Destructive beams and energy fields of various colors swallowed the daemon fortresses ahead like a quiet stellar waterfall. Beams hundreds or even thousands of kiloters long densely filled the void, illuminating the entire space.

The daemons attempted to overwhelm these steel giants with their superior numbers.

But the mont they set foot in that void, they plunged into a flawless, deadly net woven from countless automated defense platforms, swarms of drones, and the warships' point-defense weapon Systems.

Fine rain-like point-defense lasers, auto-tracking micro-missiles, and wide-area spatial disruption fields turned the daemonic charges into pulverized, blood-soaked chunks of flesh that rapidly froze and hardened in the vacuum.

Under the overwhelming firepower of the Human Alliance Fleet, the massive Warp structures collapsed and exploded. Countless fragnts scattered—so burning with evil flas, others dripping pus—drifting helplessly in the void.

Afterward, they were further pulverized and purified by additional bombardnt and void purification protocols.

The daemons' screams and roars echoed within the distortion, their bodies torn apart and forcibly banished back to the realms of Chaos. So were completely erased from existence by special weapons involving the laws of ti and dinsion.

The entire battle ended in overwhelming force and destructive power—a complete and utter victory, exactly as expected.

Deep in the Warp, the four Chaos Gods were furious yet powerless. They could only watch helplessly as the grand structures they had painstakingly built were destroyed by the enemy and their endless hordes of daemons were mowed down like straw.

Mortarion carefully monitored the Human Federation Fleet through Warp navigation.

The arrogance that had assured him of victory had vanished, leaving only hair-raising despair.

No matter what he did, fighting this mysterious fleet in realspace was utterly impossible. Defeat was inevitable.

His previous arrogance and mockery toward Guilliman now made him look like a clown.

However, the Four Gods devised a thod that might prevent the Imperium's victory.

That is, to bestow upon him the powers of all four gods, just as they had once blessed Horus. At the sa ti, these powers would be injected into Mortarion's body, granting him unparalleled strength and the ability to overco any adversity.

Mortarion was different from Abaddon. Abaddon was known as the Chosen One, but in the end, he was rely a human empowered by force and could not withstand the injection of the Four Gods' power. If forced upon him, he would collapse instantly or beco a mindless puppet.

As a Primarch, Mortarion could endure the power of the Four Gods.

When the Herald of Nurgle inford Mortarion of the Four Gods' blessing plan…

The Primarch remained silent. He fully understood what it ant: a deeper bond, more thorough corruption, and the possible subsequent distortion of his essence into sothing even more insane.

But upon seeing the overwhelming firepower of the Human Alliance Fleet in realspace and watching his carefully built defenses crumble, he could already picture Guilliman's face and hear him mocking him as trash or a clown.

No!!

That could never be allowed. They had to defeat Guilliman even if it ant sacrificing everything.

The humiliation of Barbarus must never be repeated. Mortarion was no clown.

"Understood," Mortarion agreed. "May the gods grant their power."

The Warp erupted in turmoil.

Four vastly different yet equally colossal and terrifying powers surged and poured into Mortarion's body.

The eternal decay and twisted filth of Nurgle, Khorne's endless slaughter and raging fury, Tzeentch's ever-changing sches and curse of knowledge, Slaanesh's ultimate pleasure and abyssal sensations.

"Uwaaah…"

Even a Primarch of imnse power could not help but cry out in agony. His body swelled violently, and his wings grew even larger.

The rotten green of decay, the red of massacre, the blue of mutation, and the purple of pleasure—four abominable colors flickered across his body, eroding one another until they reached an extrely unstable and nauseating equilibrium.

His power exploded exponentially, and the surrounding reality began to distort violently—disruptions in the flow of ti and folds in the spatial structure.

Mortarion had beco a small, mobile source of Warp contamination.

When the Human Alliance Fleet swept away the last large Warp structures remaining in realspace with unstoppable montum…

When the shells were aid at the planet Ax itself, shrouded in dense Chaos energy, the attack unexpectedly failed.

Whether it was the fla of the star cannon, the tearing force of the black hole bomb, or the ti-erasure beam—upon contact with the chaotic energy shield on the planet's surface, they were all drawn into the abyssal depths of the Warp like mud oxen sinking into the sea, unable to inflict significant damage on the planet itself.

The unstoppable assault suddenly halted.

The Human Alliance Fleet and the Imperial fleet ford a loose encirclent around the planet Ax.

Victor communicated once more with the Macragge's Honour.

"Regent Roboute Guilliman, the surface of the target planet is now completely covered by highly condensed aetheric energy.

It possesses an extrely high energy level and is deeply linked to the surrounding spatial structure, forming a self-sustaining closed-loop defense System."

Victor displayed the scan data, showing the current energy model of planet Ax—a constantly rotating, turbid, chaotic sphere.

"The Seventh Fleet's conventional weapons cannot effectively penetrate this shield. To achieve physical destruction, strategic weapons such as Dinsional Collapse Bombs or Reality Anchor Removal Devices would be required.

However, such attacks would completely destroy the planet and the surrounding cosmic structure, leaving behind an absolute void.

Calculations indicate that this cavity is extrely unstable. If the spaceti structure in this region is disturbed for any reason in the future, the cavity has a very high probability of expanding, resulting in the collapse of the regional spaceti structure and triggering unpredictable dinsional disasters."

Victor paused briefly before proposing another solution.

"Another thod is to land on the planet's surface and destroy the virtual anchor points.

According to our detection, the virtual anchor points are powerful chaotic entities currently empowered by multiple virtual beings.

To destroy this chaotic entity, theoretically, a being who has received blessings from multiple virtual entities and possesses a power level equivalent to it would need to infiltrate the planet's surface and carry out targeted elimination or confrontation."

Guilliman frowned, a hesitant expression on his face.

He turned to the person beside him and asked, "Naless One, what should we do?"

"If all else fails, we can simply annihilate Ax completely. The Primarch Mortarion, who hosts the power of the Four Gods, is rely a weakness second only to the forr Horus.

Even if I fought him directly, I would be no match for him."

The instant Guilliman finished speaking, a System interface flashed before Datch's eyes, displaying two clear options.

[Option 1: Order the Alliance Fleet to completely destroy Ax, overturn Pugh's ritual, and forgo the opportunity to gain part of Nurgle's authority.]

[Option 2: Locate a Primarch blessed by the gods and dispatch him to defeat Mortarion.]

Destroying Ax would an losing the chance for Pugh to obtain Nurgle's authority—an absolutely unacceptable outco.

As the Player, having decided to complete the entire encyclopedia and achieve a perfect playthrough, this defeat was utterly intolerable.

The first option was "passed."

Only one choice remained. Find a god to bless Guilliman and have him fight Mortarion one-on-one.

That ant the only remaining path was to find a Primarch blessed by the gods to fight Mortarion.

We have Primarchs.

The current problem is where to find one willing to grant the blessing.

Suddenly, Datch's eyes lit up. He had an idea.

He took out an item from the ga inventory that he had never used before—the "Inverted World Mirror."

The Warp god that blessed Guilliman did not exist in this world.

He could go to another tiline to find it.

While the Four Gods of this universe were evil beings, in a parallel universe opposite to this one, the Four Gods stood on the side of good and order.

Bring them here and turn Guilliman into a cream puff as well.

"I, who discovered the hidden route left by the ga designer, am an absolute genius."
