Wu Suowei understood taking Tang Rao away suddenly was unfair; not as domineering as Bald, he beca more polite to Tang Rao.
"Five minutes. If you go over, you're responsible."
Wu Suowei released Tang Rao's collar, causing him to fall flat on the ground.
"Tang Rao, you alright before? Why did you, without reason, get involved with them?"
Li Shengxuan had witnessed their betting earlier and saw how Tang Rao transford from a bystander to the future protagonist.
She didn't know why, and certainly Tang Rao knew even less.
"No use talking about it now. I might be away for a long ti. Rember, if you need anything done, let Liu Da handle it; don't leave the Mountain Gate yourselves. The dangers outside are beyond your imagination, understood?"
Tang Rao worried most about the Black Demon changing tactics, no longer targeting him but using those he cared for as leverage.
"Rest assured, we're not kids; we know what we're doing."
Tu Hongxiu reassured Tang Rao.
"Five minutes are up, are you leaving or not?"
Wu Suowei began to urge Tang Rao.
"Rember what I said, if anyone doesn't listen, they'll face family discipline upon my return. Contact in Illusion City if anything happens. I have to leave now; behave at ho and don't miss ."
As Tang Rao left, tears filled his eyes. Those accustod to the pain of separation were moved by the deep affection between Tang Rao and his wives.
"Not leaving?"
Wu Suowei asked.
"Yeah, I'm leaving."

In an antique-styled house, the heavy scent of incense lingered.
"Didn't think you liked this vibe; this incense is really pungent."
Tang Rao spoke straightforwardly.
The sandalwood scent that costs at most ten bucks on Blue Star's night market was everywhere, nobody wanted it.
"What do you know? This scent requires careful appreciation."
Wu Suowei had an unprecedented fascination with the incense in his hand.
"Did you appreciate it carefully? My nose can't handle it; with care, it might be worse."
Tang Rao took out a circle of sandalwood from his Space Ring, lighting it with a lighter and placing it into the incense burner, sending up an unusual fragrance to Wu Suowei's nose.
Quality is evident in a sniff; Wu Suowei, in comparison, felt like an uncultured bumpkin, never having seen good products, admitted to Tang Rao.
"What type of incense is that?"
Wu Suowei intended to appear knowledgeable about everything, but he genuinely hadn't seen these things before from Tang Rao.
"Just sandalwood from our place, but the craftsmanship is different, so is the scent. Differentiating sandalwood quality isn't easy for most people."
Even if Tang Rao didn't understand, with good items in hand, he could claim expertise; what he says goes.
"Where can I buy this incense? Could you sell so?"
As a dignified Divine Realm being, Wu Suowei peculiarly felt in asking Tang Rao for sandalwood.
"This is all I have, might as well give it to you. It's a high-demand, rare-item in the entire Divine Realm."
As Tang Rao emphasized the item's value, Wu Suowei's interest in Tang Rao's incense grew.
"Without knowing why I brought you here or if I'm friend or foe, you're so generous; you've got a big heart, kid."
Thankfully, Wu Suowei wasn't a bad person, having no ill intent for Tang Rao, or he would have compelled Tang Rao to reveal everything.
"What can I do? I'm desperate. You're so much more powerful; you could crush with two fingers. Killing makes it yours anyway; might as well gift it and preserve my life."
Speaking smoothly without deceit, Tang Rao was appealingly candid and forthright.
"I heard your family calling you earlier, you're Tang Rao, right?"
Turning to the point, Wu Suowei brought Tang Rao here unaware if he wished to be his apprentice.
"Yes."
Tang Rao propped his chin.
He thought these mighty beings needed only a look to know his na.
"Would you like to beco my apprentice?"
Wu Suowei believed anyone would compete to be under his na, given willingness.
Yet, throughout, Tang Rao remained indifferent at the prospect of apprenticeship, showing no joy.
Had he lost his allure?
Thinking he paled before an interdiate god, he dwelt in self-doubt.
"Whether I like it or not, you decide; that's fine."
Tang Rao shrugged, indifferent.
"Then apprentice to , and I'll teach you all I know. You need only shine on the day of Holy Mother's mountain opening; can you do that?"
Wu Suowei required just this; by any account, Tang Rao would profit.
"Becoming your apprentice, should co with so benefits like a disciple's first gift, shouldn't it?"
Could a master's address be so easily earned?
"What sort of gift do you want?"
Even though Tang Rao misspoke about disciple's gifts, Wu Suowei would agree to anything for his unreasonable demand.
"I wouldn't know what valuables you have, but I believe a master's gift can't be bad."
Setting expectations, any less than good from Wu Suowei seed unacceptable.
"Here, this is the Mountain Opening Axe I've fought countless battles with. If you don't mind, use it."
Thinking long on a worthy gift, Wu Suowei found the Mountain Opening Axe the only aningful one for an apprentice.
"Mountain Opening Axe, could that be your Divine Artifact?"
