The old man could hold his liquor well. After a few drinks, his face remained steady and he showed no signs of a racing heart. Tang Rao thought that trying to outdrink the old man was akin to a fairy tale.

The old man was a reasonable person. When Tang Rao said he had things to do, he didn't try to persuade him further.

Tang Rao asked again, only to receive a series of head shakes.
"The Supre Power said that if soone ca to rescue him, just let them take him away. He was just a freeloader, and keeping him around would be a waste."
The responses of the watchn were exactly what Tang Rao had thought earlier. It seed there was indeed so unspeakable connection between Tang Rao and the Supre Power.
"Let them be then, Qin Qing, let's go ho."
Tang Rao, chatting and laughing, brought Qin Qing ho, while Huo Qi and Huo Zun, the father and son duo, were far from as cheerful as Tang Rao.
"Tang Rao, you bastard, if I don't kill him, I'm not Huo Qi!"
Huo Qi was covered in injuries, and as a deity, this was the greatest humiliation Huo Qi had ever endured.
"Killing him is just the beginning. I want Tang Rao cut into a thousand pieces, thrown into boiling oil, and then drawn and quartered. Only then will my anger be appeased."
Huo Zun and Huo Qi lay on separate beds. They had just taken Elixir Pills, but due to the pills' limitations, their recovery was as slow as ever.

Huo Zun kept speaking; whether he wanted Huo Qi to lose face further or not was unclear.
"Your father didn't even get to see Tang Rao. I was captured by an old man, and when I saw Tang Rao, I was already pinned to the city wall. Satisfied now?"
Huo Zun showed a look of understanding.
"Oh, is that so? Then Dad, you indeed quite lost face."
Huo Zun didn't look down on Huo Qi; it was mainly because Huo Zun had at least seen Tang Rao, while Huo Qi was subdued right away by an old man. That was a grave grievance indeed.
