Chapter 389: Chapter 390: The Warship’s Arrival

Lin Qian’s eyes were icy cold as he watched the Marquis, his Thunder Night Sword showing no rcy as it cleaved down, “The Qin Dynasty will eventually be but a stepping stone for the Huaxia Empire, allowing it to ascend the stage of this world.”

As the sword fell, thunder followed; like divine retribution, it instantly blasted the Marquis into oblivion, erasing his existence from this world.

Simultaneously, the morale of the Qin Dynasty’s soldiers began to plumt as they faced the Imperial Army, their ntal state gradually collapsing amidst the struggle and the slaughter.

No matter how desperately brave they fought, they could not withstand the onslaught of the Imperial Army; even if their attacks penetrated the protective Soul Power of their enemies, the Primordial Weapons in their hands would strike the heavy armor of their adversaries, sparking and leaving behind nothing more than a white mark.

The disparity in strength, equipnt, Arrays, and coordination.

The soldiers of the Qin Dynasty keenly felt the vast gap between themselves and the Huaxia Empire’s Imperial Army, with hardly any hope in sight.

The only thing they could beg for was that the Marquises and generals of the Qin Dynasty above might overco the elders of the opposing side, and once they secured victory in the higher skies, to co down and assist them, which could instantly turn the tide of the battle.

“Hey, what is that?” Amid the fierce battle, a soldier from the regular army suddenly noticed a shadow approaching in the distance, and when he turned his head to look, he imdiately cried out in alarm.

Accompanied by his exclamation, many Qin Dynasty soldiers also looked up into the distance, their bodies rigid with uncertainty as they stared at the approaching figure.

When they had been charging forward, they weren’t quite sure what the massive dark shadow was, but as it now accelerated towards them, they saw it clearly.

A Cloud Boat?

It certainly didn’t seem like one; so of them had seen Cloud Boats, and if not, they had at least heard of them.

A Cloud Boat was crafted from various precious Spirit Woods, and traveling long distances on one was a pleasure. Covering a Cloud Boat with Arrays created from Spirit Wood provided a significant amplification effect.

Using Arrays like Gathering Spirit and Calming Heart, traveling on a Cloud Boat would be extrely comfortable.

But this colossal entity, almost entirely made of tal and resembling a moving war fortress, was sothing they had never seen before.

The vessel’s body shimred with a chilling tallic luster, surrounded by a pale yellow Soul Power. It did not expand outward but clung tightly to the surface of the vessel, as if it was covered in a layer of Soul Power armor.

The great warship, tearing through the sky with incredible speed, made the surrounding air currents retreat hastily; in the eyes of the Qin Dynasty soldiers, it seed like a primordial beast was charging toward them.

Its huge form, with overwhelming pressure, charged directly into the formation, with the Soul Power at the rear of the warship burning like a fla, granting even greater impact as it thundered into the densely packed ranks.

The soldier who first spotted the massive warship stared with wide eyes as the vessel rapidly approached, his breathing quickening, Soul Power gathering in his throat as he desperately scread out in a raspy voice…

“Run!”

The cry of this regular army soldier echoed for a long ti in this world, carrying forth to all around.

The distant warship slowly but inexorably approached, growing larger as it drew near, and from it emanated a formidable aura of oppression. The soldier had no doubt about the power of the warship.

Once it collided with them, they would have only one path left—death.

However, it was too late. Although the soldier from the Huaxia Empire’s regular army noticed the threat in ti, the ssage could no longer be spread quickly enough.

The battlefield was in chaos. Even though he had scread at the top of his lungs trying to relay the ssage, it hardly had any effect.

The noises of fierce fighting and the massive booms of Soul Power explosions mixed together, practically drowning out his voice completely, and only those nearby could clearly hear him, as well as so soldiers who, like him, noticed the anomaly in the distance and were aware of the warships approaching.

What added to the soldiers’ fear, those who had noticed the incoming warships, was that as the huge warship brutally charged over, there was not the slightest whisper of sound around it – it was eerily silent.

Such a large warship was speeding their way, and although one could visibly see the air currents violently swirling, there was no sound to be heard, which was an ominous and frightening phenonon.

The soldiers who discovered the warship had already started to shout while fleeing, fully igniting their Soul Power and running in the direction away from the Imperial Army, which was the side area from where the warship was coming.

Seeing their comrades in a frenzied escape, so were clueless as to what had happened, and seeing that the soldiers of the Huaxia Empire’s Imperial Army who they were engaged with were also hastily retreating, left them even more bewildered.

Only at this mont did they start to realize that an air dominator was approaching them with an unstoppable ferocity.

That was when they finally understood why so many were frantically fleeing and why the soldiers of the Huaxia Empire’s Imperial Army, who had been clashing with them, suddenly stopped and moved back, retreating to the rear.

“Run for your lives!” At this point, everyone was internally screaming in panic, pushing their Soul Power to the limits and bursting out at their fastest speed, running away into the distance.

However, they only ca to the realization that it was too late.

Lin Qian, leading the Huaxia Empire’s Imperial Army, had entered the very center of Emperor Qin’s Dynasty’s army formation, and the warship was coming from a collision course on the left side of the Imperial Army.

The soldiers on the right side of Emperor Qin’s Dynasty watched in dismay as the tallic behemoth in the sky smashed into their comrades’ ranks on the other side.

The massive warship, like a true monster of warfare, covered in an Array’s Soul Power, brutally steamrolled into the military formations of Emperor Qin’s Dynasty.

The fleeing soldiers of Emperor Qin’s Dynasty weren’t slow, but the incoming warship was much faster; they hadn’t gotten far before it crashed into them from behind.

Thud! Thud!

The force of the warship’s accelerated charge was beyond the imagination of Emperor Qin’s Dynasty’s soldiers, as those far away on the right watched in horror as their own comrades were crushed to pieces.

The dense crowd of figures provided no obstacle for the warship, which like a at grinder, plowed through dominantly and rcilessly without reason.

Crunch!

While the warship plowed into and through Emperor Qin’s Dynasty’s army formation, sounds of chanical components interlocking could be heard from its side. Nurous dark cannon barrels were ejected, pointing at Emperor Qin’s Dynasty’s troops on either side.

Inside the gaping maws of the barrels, vibrant and colorful Soul Power began to condense, and a heart-stopping fluctuation of Soul Power erged.

“Attack!” Lin Qian’s icy voice abruptly echoed throughout the battlefield as the Soul Power cannon barrels on the side of the warship, recoiled back a bit due to the trendous impact, launched out solid beams of Soul Power without rcy, blasting into the dense crowds.
