Chapter 692: Chapter 693: Empire Life

Joining the fervor of becoming part of the Huaxia Empire was growing ever more intense, with many forces unhesitatingly rging into it.

Among them, the forces from the Eastern Territory, Northern Territory, and Western Territory were the most enthusiastic.

In the case of the Northern Territory, the reason for joining the Huaxia Empire was simple: the Empire had fended off alien tribes ready to attack the north, preventing them from suffering heavy casualties. The Imperial Army stationed there had protected the people of the Northern Territory to the greatest extent.

Moreover, the situation in the Northern Territory was quite particular. Despite having powers of varying sizes, there was very little conflict between them; they were almost united as one, showing great respect for the Yuan family.

In a sense, the Yuan family represented the voice of the Northern Territory, and the various powers there followed the Yuan family’s commands.

Also, by resisting the alien tribes, the Northern Territory had helped the Yuan family a great deal. It could be said that the atmosphere in the Northern Territory was the most harmonious.

Therefore, it was only natural for the Northern Territory to join the Huaxia Empire, especially since the Yuan family itself had announced its integration into the Empire, and they naturally followed suit.

The situation with the Dead Spirit Army had taken them by surprise.

On their own, they stood no chance against the Dead Spirit Army.

After all, it wasn’t possible to rely on the Huaxia Empire’s protection forever. After much consideration, the powers of the Northern Territory had agreed to follow in the Yuan family’s footsteps and rge into the Huaxia Empire.

Their reasoning was that since the Yuan family was willing to join the Huaxia Empire, there must be sothing exceptional about it, worthwhile for the Yuan family to do so.

They trusted the Yuan family’s judgnt and thus decided to join.

The situations in the Eastern Territory and Western Territory were much more dismal than that of the Northern Territory. Initially, both territories had suffered greatly under the attacks of the alien tribes, with many strong figures from various forces being executed.

With the ergence of the Dead Spirit Army, their situation worsened, with the forces of both territories practically existing in na only, shattered and fragnted.

Countless Sect Masters and Family Heads died, and their predicants were dire.

As such, the decision for the forces of the Eastern and Western Territories to join the Huaxia Empire was made not by the ones in power but by the displaced people of both territories.

As for the Central Domain, many forces were still observing and had not made a decision, with only so smaller forces following along to join the Huaxia Empire.

It could be said that Ye Xin was overwheld with work, with a massive influx of people joining the Huaxia Empire, along with their territories, amounting to an enormous number.

Almost the entire Human Clan had now mostly joined the Huaxia Empire, with the myriad managerial issues and control asures giving Ye Xin quite the headache.

After Lin Qian had disappeared, Ye Xin couldn’t communicate with Zhuge Ming via the Tactical Mirror or get his guidance.

Now, Ye Xin had to rely on Lin Qian’s subordinates left in the Soul Martial Continent. Fortunately, the scholars from the Heavenly Art Departnt had formidable abilities and helped her handle these matters effectively without major errors.

Moreover, following the establishnt of the academy, there were still many capable individuals who, after training by the Heavenly Art Departnt, could stand on their own, lend a hand, and prevent situations from becoming too dire.

Despite the circumstances being considerably busier, they were still manageable.

In the hall, while managing state affairs assisted by the Array, Ye Xin felt imnsely grateful that Lin Qian had constructed such an Array for her. Otherwise, she could not imagine how exhausted she would be.

Even with the Array’s assistance, Ye Xin was still frantically busy, with countless governntal affairs requiring her decisions.

After joining the Huaxia Empire, according to Lin Qian’s decrees, the environnt in which the locals lived would inevitably have to be transford.

Clearing Soul Beasts, constructing broad and smooth roads, installing Soul Vision Machines, and establishing prefecture governnts and such were tasks that could be efficiently completed only when Lin Qian was present.

Now that it was Ye Xin’s turn to take on these tasks, she was shocked to discover that all these things had been provided by Lin Qian in the past and that the Empire’s storage had not enough materials to complete road construction or the Soul Vision Machines.

Ye Xin made a swift decision, resolving to temporarily deviate from the decrees Lin Qian had left behind, as tis had changed.

Firstly, Ye Xin had the newly joined citizens of the Huaxia Empire process their identity docunts and swear an Oath of the Heart Demon, declaring their complete allegiance to the Empire, without a second thought, to fully beco Huaxia People.

Once it was ensured that everyone who joined the Empire had processed their identity docunts, Ye Xin began mobilizing all available resources of the Huaxia Empire to start constructing defense Arrays and soul cannons.

After all, the Dead Spirit Army was currently biding their ti, strengthening themselves, and who knew when they would finish their power enhancent and begin to cause trouble.

Thus, improving the living conditions of the people who had joined the Huaxia Empire was not the imdiate issue to face.

Ye Xin believed that what needed to be ensured now was that when the Dead Spirit Army revived and began to act, the Huaxia Empire would be able to protect them and avoid unnecessary sacrifice.

Both the Imperial Army and the War Beast Army had also begun to move out, clearing Soul Beasts and starting to set up various defensive Arrays and soul cannons for use against the enemy.

The resources for the Annihilating Impact Soul Cannons were limited and could only be placed in the most critical locations.

It was apparent that Ye Xin’s plan involved mobilizing the entire Huaxia Empire, with every person beginning to contribute their own strength.

Even those who had just joined the Huaxia Empire were unselfishly donating their wealth or various materials, making the defensive Arrays more robust and increasing the number of soul cannons.

This was because they had witnessed with their own eyes the ferocity of the Dead Spirit Army and had personally experienced the desolation wrought by the Dead Spirit Army. Thus, they were acutely aware that being preoccupied with personal gains and losses would only lead to death.

If they died, they would truly have nothing left.

Rather than that, it was better to contribute these resources to a useful cause, which could, in turn, protect their lives.

After contributing what they could, they began to realize that the Arrays set up by the Huaxia People were considerably stronger than any they had seen before.

Furthermore, in the center of each city, a Yellow Dragon would rise into the sky, forming a golden-yellow light screen that spread out and eventually beca transparent. However, the ascending Yellow Dragon remained clearly visible.

Later they learned from the scholars of the Heavenly Art Departnt that this was called the Huaxia World Array and was not rely a defensive Array.

Under the Huaxia World Array, fighting ability would increase during a battle, and the speed of Cultivation would also accelerate.

To further speed up the process and construct a combined defense, the Huaxia People of the Southern Domain took special Cloud Boats to various places, contributing their strength.

Gradually, from those who had already been mbers of the Huaxia Empire, they finally understood what life was like in the Empire they had joined.
