Back in Rogue’s secret base, six mbers were gathered around the Void Prison on the ground. The cracks webbed across its surface until it finally broke apart, freeing Hanwu.
Glancing around at the six Rogue mbers, Hanwu remarked nonchalantly, “Let guess, you’ve brought sowhere interesting, right?”
The group stared at him in bewildernt. Hanwu looked wildly different from before, with hardened bone covers on his head and hands that gave him a barbaric appearance.
Liuqing and Darcy knew Hanwu didn’t look like that before he was sealed. So where did it co from?
Noticing their stares, Hanwu explained, “I absorbed the Maw Giant’s energy and manifested it on my body. It’s normal if you haven’t seen this before.”
The Rogue mbers were astonished. This was the first ti a ninja had ever used a Giant Sage’s power! The leader of Rogue, a middle-aged man called Fusatsu, stepped forward. “Could you tell us how you used the Giant Sage’s power?”
Hanwu observed the man. Despite his kind appearance, he exuded a subtle sense of danger. Fusatsu was almost certainly stronger than him, even with all eight gates open, and Hanwu couldn’t help but wonder how much his ter would progress if they fought.
“Why don’t you try to defeat ? I will tell you if you do.”
Fusatsu remained silent, but his underlings were pissed. “You cocky bastard. You haven’t earned the right to challenge our boss! Do you have a death wish or sothing? I can subdue you myself. Our boss doesn’t even need to move.”
“And who are you?” Hanwu scoffed.
“You would be scared witless if you knew my na. I was the most infamous ninja of Windmill Village. I am Sigurd, the drunk ninja!”
“Oh!” Hanwu feigned shock before deadpanning. “Never heard of you.”
Sigurd looked as though he had found rat droppings in his al, both disgusted and enraged. Grabbing his gourd of alcohol, he gulped it down.
“I will show you the power of the drunk ninja, Sigurd!” he declared, clutching the gourd with one hand while making seals with the other. “Fire Style: Ethanol Burner!”
Fierce flas rushed from his mouth in a mighty gust, carrying the scent of alcohol on its embers. Both the alcohol and the wind only fanned the fire hotter. The other mbers of Rogue stepped back to prevent themselves from getting caught in the crossfire.
Hanwu didn’t move. He simply activated his most powerful jutsu, Flesh Ascendant. A powerful wind blasted out from him, blowing back the blistering blaze.
Hanwu stepped toward Sigurd. Sigurd tried to leap back, but Hanwu dashed forward with a Vortex Collapsing Fist before he could put any aningful distance between them.
As a mber of Rogue, Sigurd’s strength was at least vouched for. Even so, Hanwu’s Vortex Collapsing Fist had blasted even the massive S-rated Summoning Jutsu Giant Salamander into nothingness.
Hanwu’s fist landed squarely. The resulting impact broke several ribs and blew Sigurd back in the process.
Unsatisfied with the disappointing fight, Hanwu glanced at the leader of Rogue, Fusatsu, and attacked without warning. “Your turn.”
Fusatsu used all his strength to defend against Hanwu. Everyone watched as Fusatsu grew four arms and a dense bone plating across his body. He looked even more like a monster than Hanwu.
Blocking Hanwu’s incoming fist with his own, he absorbed the power of the Vortex Collapsing Fist into his body. Hanwu was caught off guard. His mighty punch could level mountains. For it to do nothing to Fusatsu seed illogical!
Hanwu used Vortex Collapsing Fist several more tis, but Fusatsu absorbed every single one.
“My turn.” Fusatsu retaliated with a single punch that shattered not only Hanwu’s bone armor but also all of his bones. The impact of Fusatsu’s fist was undeniably powerful.
A typical ninja, even a Master or a Shadow, would die from the hit. Thankfully, Hanwu wasn’t a regular person. His Undying could even heal the most fatal of wounds.
Moreover, the Maw Giant in the Four Guardians Seal was also channeling its power toward Hanwu’s recovery. Aware that the Rogues had been capturing Giant Sages, it knew its best bet lay with Hanwu. If it helped him, it would at least survive, albeit trapped, whereas only death awaited it if Rogue captured it. In other words, Hanwu couldn’t die if it wanted to live.
With two different energies healing his body, Hanwu regained consciousness after three seconds. Realizing the single punch had filled his ter by 1000%, he staggered to his feet, his wounds all but healed by the ti he stood tall. “Fuck yeah.”
Rogue’s dic was in shock. “That recovery speed! It’s even stronger than the legendary S-rated Hijutsu Cellular Genesis. He’s a rare research specin.”
Fusatsu was also surprised. That punch had been the strongest in his arsenal, yet Hanwu was not only still alive but could even stand tall. Just how preposterous is his regeneration speed? Is this the power of a Giant Sage?
“Co, let’s continue! I still want to fight!” Hanwu rushed forward with another punch.
Fusatsu gripped Hanwu’s incoming fist tightly, stopping him in his tracks. “You can take a single punch from and survive. You’re strong, but that doesn’t an you can’t be defeated. If you join us, I can forgive your transgression.”
“Everyone’s trying to hunt you and your organization down.” Hanwu shook free from the grasp. “Why do you think I would join you?”
“If you join us, I swear to fulfill one of your wishes. This isn’t sothing the other ninja villages can do for you.”
Hanwu hesitated. His enemies’ words weren’t to be believed, but it wouldn’t hurt to gather information.
“Have you heard of the Reaper Seal?”
Fusatsu turned serious. “Are you connected to the evil God calling himself Lord Huangquan?”
Hanwu’s eyes lit up. He had sohow accidentally found a person in the Giant Shadow Civilization with information about the evil God!
