It was a dire situation, so Han Wu had no choice but to nod.
Jin Buhuan understood that if they didn’t kill the monster now, it would eradicate Everlight City once Han Wu died. Thus, he resolved to teach his family’s secret technique, one that no outsider had ever learned, to secure victory.
He swiftly placed his palms against Han Wu’s temples. “I will use it once, and you must rember every movent. You can’t make a single mistake!”
He channeled his energy into Han Wu, and a small golden figure appeared before him, controlling the Divine Weapons to form an array.
The array required eight Divine Weapons, and Han Wu coincidentally had exactly eight. The structure appeared only once in his mind, and he committed it to mory.
At the sa ti, Hei Qi completed the ceremony to inherit the evil god’s power. Nine eyes opened along the length of the black blade, each representing a single evil god. For the sake of killing Han Wu, he had borrowed the strength of all nine.
The surge of power made Hei Qi feel invincible. Yet before he could trample every life form in this world, he had to kill Han Wu, the person who had humiliated him most. Only then could he relinquish everything and return to the evil god’s embrace.
“Die!” Hei Qi roared.
At that mont, Han Wu activated Armant Baptism. His eight Divine Weapons rose behind him and settled around Hei Qi, forming a Ba Gua array. Then, an energy chain linked the weapons together.
With the array completed, Hei Qi felt the familiar pressure descend again, as if nurous Divine Weapons were crushing him.
Still, compared to Jin Buhuan’s Armant Baptism, Han Wu’s was far weaker, even with God-grade Divine Weapons. The array could suppress an enemy of equal strength or even one a step stronger, but Hei Qi exceeded him by several levels. The pressure alone was not enough.
Hei Qi smiled as he slowly stood up. He would destroy the array when Han Wu attacked.
Han Wu’s millions of Small Locust Blades surged into the array and fused with it. Each blade offered only a negligible increase in strength, raising the pressure by a fraction of a percent. However, with millions of blades reinforcing it, the pressure surged to 2,000 tis what Hei Qi had initially endured.
Under that force, Hei Qi’s bone armor shattered, and his mask cracked before dissipating. The throne beneath him crumbled into sand and scattered into the wind as if it had never existed.
Blood stread from every orifice, and his senses gradually faded. This ti, no voice spoke in his mind. One by one, the eyes along the black blade closed, and the power they had lent him withdrew.
The pressure pinned Hei Qi to the ground, and his bones started to crack. The evil god’s power had been recalled!
“Die!” Han Wu snarled, intensifying the pressure to crush Hei Qi completely.
At that mont, Gong Jun, who had trailed after Hei Qi from Wushuang City, intervened. Seeing Hei Qi on the verge of being crushed, he shouted, “rcy!”
Han Wu sensed an arrow flying toward him. It traveled only ten ters or so before he cut it down with his Small Locust Blade. It was both a warning and his final act of restraint. If Gong Jun advanced, his head would fly instead of the arrow.
Still, Gong Jun seized the mont of distraction, summoned his Divine Weapon, a cannon, and fired several rounds at the array trapping Hei Qi. However, they had no effect.
Unfortunately, his orders were absolute, and he had to save Hei Qi at any cost. He risked everything and charged toward Han Wu while pulling the trigger. His intent was simple. If he couldn’t break the array, he would deal with the one controlling it.
A massive cannon shell shot through the air. Han Wu tried to intercept it, but its power was overwhelming. Even five Small Locust Blades couldn’t stop it.
At such close range, the shell exploded ten ters from Han Wu. He couldn’t evade the blast in ti. After all, he had to maintain the array and couldn’t afford to falter. Flas surged toward him, and he raised his arm to shield his face.
Thankfully, he wasn’t alone. Jin Buhuan was beside him. In response to the ambush, Jin Buhuan summoned his Divine Weapons and ford an array. In the next instant, a mirror materialized and reflected the explosion.
Using the mont when the flas obscured their vision, Gong Jun swung his cannon like a baseball bat. He struck the weakest link in the Armant Baptism, the Explosive Locust Blade.
With it shattering, the array disappeared. Gong Jun dragged Hei Qi out of the array and fled.
Han Wu sensed the array break. He quickly recalled his Small Locust Blades and turned them into a torrent of steel to chase after Gong Jun. Millions of blades severed all escape routes. If they attacked, Gong Jun and Hei Qi would die.
At that mont, Gong Jun shouted, “Where are you guys? Stop him!”
Nine more people appeared and used their Divine Weapons to block the blades, allowing Gong Jun to escape. Their actions amounted to a declaration of war against Han Wu.
Han Wu redirected his blades to kill them before pursuing Gong Jun and Hei Qi. Unexpectedly, the mont the blades descended, the nine figures tossed their weapons and surrendered.
“We surrender! We are from the Divine Civilization, and we shouldn’t fight one another!”
“Luo Yun, the alliance representative, has already instructed us not to fight among ourselves, to preserve Divine Civilization’s strength and maximize our shared interests.”
“If you attack us, we will all report you for killing mbers of your own civilization. You won’t escape punishnt!”
Han Wu frowned because they were invoking the College Alliance to pressure him to stop!
