The divine war continued. Units on both sides died with each passing mont. Many of the Gods in the Slaughter Faction held the War Aspects, and the sheer scale of the battle gave them a constant supply of energy, which they channelled into amplifying their units through large-scale War Divine Skills.
Every God in the Slaughter Faction had different War Divine Skills, so the effects stacked, aning individual Slaughter Faction units were carrying twenty to thirty different buffs at once. Even an ordinary goblin beca able to match a Unique troll in strength.
Xu Hai’s Mind Eye could analyze the situation, but nullifying the buffs would take ti to figure it out. His faction had to hold the line with their units while he worked.
The God Kings from the Wealth Faction were veterans, each commanding tens of billions of units at minimum and matching the Slaughter Faction’s strength with sheer numbers. Even trading ten units for one was worthwhile by their calculation.
Han Wu positioned his strongest units at every key stronghold before moving behind the God Kings, summoning skeletons from the bodies of their fallen units.
The skeletons crawled out from the corpses and flung themselves at the Slaughter Faction’s units with suicidal counterattacks. They were fragile, and many shattered with a single casual blow, but their broken bones beca part of a skeleton tsunami.
White bones rolled together in a tidal wave. It was impossible to differentiate the whole skeletons from the bone fragnts. Every corpse, friend or foe alike, was quickly added to the tide.
The God Kings looked on with bewildered expressions. Undead tactics had been obsolete for years, so why was soone still using them?
It was true that the tactic fed on battles and consud very little, which made it ideal for battles of attrition, but its weaknesses were just as severe. Light, Life, and Soul-type attacks all threatened the undead, and a mont’s lapse in judgnt could waste all the energy invested in the early phase.
A Major God from the Slaughter Faction scoffed at Han Wu’s skeleton tide. Using undead tactics against veterans of the Divine Civilization was suicide in a divine war of this scale. He activated his summoning divine skills and spent a large amount of Divine Points to summon the Guangya Dragon Seal Mountain, a holy mountain specifically designed to counter the undead.
The earth cracked as the Guangya Dragon Seal Mountain, brimming with Light Energy, clawed its way up from underground like a living dragon and encircled the skeleton tide. Every skeleton that ca into contact with the mountain sizzled. The Guangya Dragon Seal Mountain purified anything impure, dark, or tainted with death.
The mountain’s ring gradually tightened, and increasing numbers of undead crumbled into dust as they were purified.
“You actually dare use undead tactics against veteran Divine Civilization players?” the Major God mocked. “Looks like you don't know the aning of the word death!”
“Undead tactics, if used well, can still win,” Han Wu replied.
The Major God sneered. “Go to hell with your stupid ideas and your pathetic undead.”
Han Wu smiled at him.
Then, a gate opened behind Han Wu. A long, elegant leg ca through, and Jing Jing’s beautiful face soon followed.
“I believe I heard soone mocking the undead?” Jing Jing asked coldly.
Han Wu pointed straight at the Slaughter Faction Major God and tattled, “It was him. He was slandering the undead.”
Jing Jing stared at her opponent. Though she had spent less ti as a Major God, the authority radiating from her was noticeably stronger.
“You dare to slander the undead? Then die,” Jing Jing said with the finality of a verdict as she raised a slender hand.
The countless bone fragnts scattered across the battlefield answered her call, assembling into a massive cleaver in the air. The cleaver grew larger with every fragnt until it had absorbed every skeleton and bone trapped inside the Guangya Dragon Seal Mountain’s encirclent.
Jing Jing then swung the enormous cleaver down upon the Guangya Dragon Seal Mountain.
Despite its strong resistance to both undead and Dark Energy, the Guangya Dragon Seal Mountain could not endure the strike. The mountain split into two, and the Light Energy contained within it dispersed. Han Wu flew straight at it and converted all the scattered Light Energy into Dark Energy.
Redirecting her enormous cleaver at the Major God, Jing Jing asked, “Now tell , is your light stronger, or is my cleaver stronger?”
The shaken Major God was naturally terrified of the cleaver after witnessing it split the mountain in half, and he hastily acquiesced, “Your weapon is stronger! I have nothing but respect for you!”
He said the words with full sincerity while quietly mapping his escape route. Pleased with getting the answer she wanted, Jing Jing rcifully brought the cleaver down on the Major God’s head.
The Major God could not dodge in ti, so he tried to block, but his body was no match for the cleaver of bones, and he was cut cleanly in two. The Wisdom Faction had secured another significant victory.
