That evening, Warner Company's executives imdiately sent a screenwriter and a director to et with Avril and Yang Tian.
Yang Tian and Avril waited for less than an hour in the hotel when they saw two n entering, led by a female assistant. One of them was a tall and strong Western man, known as Long i'Er, a famous Hollywood screenwriter. The other was an Eastern-looking man, wearing fraless glasses, with slicked-back hair, and shiny polished shoes.
"Long i'Er, you're here?"
Seeing Long i'Er, Avril quickly ca out to greet him.
"Where's the real Spider-Man?"
Long i'Er imdiately asked.
"He's right here!"
Avril promptly introduced Yang Tian to Long i'Er.
Long i'Er just glanced at Yang Tian, his eyes filled with skepticism: "An Eastern face? Avril, you can't be serious, right? The real Spider-Man has an Eastern face?"
"Why would I lie to you? He really is Spider-Man! The videos of flying and acrobatics that you saw online were fild by him!"
Avril quickly explained.
Yang Tian was a bit displeased by this.
What did Long i'Er an by that? Clearly, he was discriminating against Eastern people, wasn't he?
Moreover, Yang Tian could distinctly sense that when Long i'Er questioned him, the man with fraless glasses next to him showed a hint of displeasure in his eyes.
But this man only showed displeasure and did not actually refute anything.
For a mont, Yang Tian beca more interested in this man. He asked, "Avril, who is this gentleman in your Warner Company?"
"Him?" Avril glanced at the man beside her and shrugged: "To be honest, I'm not very familiar with him either, but I've heard he's a director with a background in horror films."
"Hello, I'm Jas Wan. I'm a Chinese-Italian, and I've been in the filmmaking industry for a long ti. My notable work is Saw!"
The man with fraless glasses quickly introduced himself.
"Saw?" Yang Tian rembered. More than a decade ago, Saw beca a blockbuster with its low-budget yet astounding box office success. But he hadn't realized that such a classic film was directed by a Chinese director: "It's nice to et you!"
Yang Tian proactively extended his hand.
The man with fraless glasses, seeing Yang Tian's friendly gesture, finally relaxed his tense expression and smiled: "I'm also glad to et you. You can call by my Chinese na, Wen Zhiren."
"Your last na is Wen?"
Yang Tian also smiled.
In a foreign land, eting soone from the sa hotown makes one feel especially cordial.
However, the screenwriter Long i'Er beside them was extrely displeased: "Sir, are you looking to collaborate with us on a movie? If so, talk to , not outsiders who will only ruin your future!"
Yang Tian furrowed his brows, clearly sensing that Long i'Er was full of contempt for Wen Zhiren.
"Long i'Er, what do you an by that?"
Even Wen Zhiren couldn't hold back any longer and finally erupted.
"What do I an?" Long i'Er snorted coldly: "Director Wen, besides making so low-tier horror films, what else can you do? Warner entrusted you with a massive DC hero film like Aquaman, and you botched it, causing significant financial losses to our company. And you still claim you can make movies?"
"This..."
Wen Zhiren's face turned extrely sour, wanting to retort but unable to find a counterargunt.
Yang Tian, upon hearing this, understood the situation.
It seed that Wen Zhiren was known for making low-budget horror films, but when tasked with directing a big-budget production, he struggled to achieve good box office returns.
"If this gentleman truly is Spider-Man, that will be a brand new hero role requiring substantial investnt, certainly a big production. Considering your past failures, if the film is in your hands, I guarantee we'll lose money!"
Long i'Er nearly shouted.
Wen Zhiren's face turned pale. Despite lacking confidence, he insisted firmly, "I can definitely make a world-class film!"
"You? Forget it, there's nothing for you here. I suggest you roll out of here imdiately!"
Long i'Er scoffed coldly.
"I still have contracts for two more films with Warner Company; you have no authority to dismiss !"
Wen Zhiren was enraged.
"Let tell you, the company sent you over here just to be formal. If soone like Spider-Man existed, they wouldn't let you direct the film. They'll soon find an excuse to get rid of you, understand?"
Long i'Er sneered sarcastically.
Hearing this, Wen Zhiren was furious, but he could only clench his fists tightly without daring to say anything.
Yang Tian, on the other hand, grasped the complexity of the situation and patted Wen Zhiren's shoulder: "Mr. Wen, rest assured, I'll collaborate with you to make a Huaxia Kung Fu movie that will beco a blockbuster hit!"
"Really?"
Wen Zhiren lifted his gaze, filled with hope as he looked at Yang Tian.
To be honest, he's been unemployed for over three years since the failure of his Aquaman film at the box office. He's beco a fringe figure at Warner Company, and today he showed up with thick skin. If he doesn't get another film soon, he'll starve.
No matter how much Long i'Er disparages him, as long as Yang Tian is willing to give him a chance, it's the greatest affirmation of his worth.
However, Long i'Er beside them just laughed coldly, looking at Yang Tian with suspicion: "You say collaboration? Are you really Spider-Man? We don't even know yet. There's no such thing as a flying person in this world. Don't pretend in front of !"
"Shut up!" Avril quickly rebuked: "Long i'Er, I called you here not to doubt Yang Tian's abilities but to co up with a script!"
"You want a script? Sure! But first, I need to verify if he can actually fly!" Long i'Er glanced at Wen Zhiren, then mocked further: "You know, those Huaxia People are just con artists."
"Heh heh..."
Yang Tian chuckled.
He activated Spiritual Breath and punched Long i'Er's chest.
Boom!
A thunderous sound erupted, and Long i'Er flew backward, slamming heavily against the wall before falling to the ground with a thud. He opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood.
Yang Tian smiled lazily: "Does that count as having abilities?"
