One squad headed straight to Dangu Mountain, while the other veered towards the manor in the suburbs.
Each squad of the Forbidden Army numbered a thousand; the squad targeting the manor quickly surrounded it entirely, then proceeded to break down the doors.
Inside the manor, there were dozens of people from the martial world.
So were drinking, others practicing martial arts, so embracing won happily on the kang.
Suddenly seeing a large number of Forbidden Army arrive, so surrendered ekly without resistance, while others fought fiercely and died exhausted.
Those who survived and were injured were all taken away, and the rooms were thoroughly searched, yielding nothing significant except so weapons and masks.
During the fight, a few Forbidden Army soldiers died, and several were injured.
On the Dangu Mountain side, the situation was much worse.

The leading Forbidden Army Captain didn’t know how many people were inside, so didn’t dare act recklessly, only surrounding the entire fortress.
Then they launched a signal flare.
Once the manor was cleared, the forces there ca over to provide support.
After sacrificing dozens of lives, they finally stord into the fortress where they encountered desperate resistance.
The Forbidden Army suffered heavy casualties and fought until midnight, when the entire fortress finally quieted down.
Ultimately, counting the corpses on the ground, totaled more than one hundred twenty.
A few severely injured survivors were temporarily put under surveillance.
The Forbidden Army raised torches and turned the fortress upside down, discovering large amounts of night clothes, masks, weapons, and explosives.
Even a few crossbows used by the military were found.
After leaving a few hundred n to guard the place, the two leaders took the confiscated items and survivors back to the city overnight to report to the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince had stayed up all night waiting for news from the Forbidden Army.
The Imperial Physician ca to examine his cherished concubine, declaring she’d been poisoned severely; she was now barely clinging to life.
