Jiang Youzhi held her tightly, suppressing the emotions surging in his heart, and whispered softly in Yun Jiao’s ear, "Jiao Jiao, I really, really want to marry you soon."
Yun Jiao’s mind was still dizzy, and she only let out a aningless hum.
This sound made Jiang Youzhi love her even more, making him nearly want to crush Yun Jiao into himself.
Yet his hand touched her face with utmost care, softly calling her na, "Jiao Jiao······"
When Jiang Youzhi ca over, it was still daylight, and the room wasn’t too dark, with only a single candle lit. Unnoticed, night had fallen.
The faint light of the candle illuminated the pair of them embracing.
No one knew how long they held each other, before Yun Jiao, a heavy skin hunger patient, feeling satisfied, finally regained her senses. She straightened up from Jiang Youzhi’s embrace and, with gleaming eyes, quietly asked, "Is my hair ssed up?"
Jiang Youzhi’s Adam’s apple moved, gazing at her affectionately, and he gently tucked a stray lock of her hair behind her ear.
Yun Jiao lightly pushed his arm and coquettishly said, "You should go now, it’s been a while, the maids outside must be getting tired from standing."
Jiang Youzhi was reluctant to leave, but he had no choice, it was late.
He stood up, his eyes still glued to Yun Jiao’s face, "Then, I’m leaving."
Yun Jiao nodded.
He took a step forward, yet his eyes still lingered on her.
Yun Jiao let out a coquettish hum and shyly turned her back to him.
Jiang Youzhi looked helplessly at her back before finally turning his head and striding out.
As he walked, he savored the monts that had just passed, silly smiling to himself.
His steps seed to tread on clouds as he walked dreamily to the back door, ready to enter, when suddenly he saw a figure wandering outside.
This person turned and saw him, as if grabbing a lifeline, suddenly shouting, "Big brother—"
The shout completely destroyed Jiang Youzhi’s almost heavenly mood.
He glared at Jiang Han, "What nonsense are you shouting!"
Then his mind quickly cooled down, "Big brother? Why not call a bastard?"
Jiang Han lowered his head slightly, looking fearful, yet his fists clenched tightly inside his sleeves, "Big brother, I was wrong before, I’ve co to plead with you."
"Please ask father to release my mother."
"No no no, release Aunt."
Early that morning, he planned to accompany Ling Wei back ho and then visit the Su Mansion, yet upon arrival, his father-in-law told him the Su Mansion had been confiscated, and the entire family imprisoned.
Jiang Han was shocked out of his wits. Ever since Jiang You returned, his status at the Duke Mansion had plumted, and he gradually realized that only the Su Mansion could be his support in the future.
Now that his only support had collapsed, what would he do in the future?
Listening to his father-in-law’s words, he seed reluctant to believe them. He took a carriage ride to the Su Mansion and saw the large seals on the gate.
Jiang Han returned to the mansion in a daze.
Once ho, he rembered that he didn’t know where his father had imprisoned his mother.
Aunt Su was like Jiang Han’s last straw, he just wanted to grab it quickly.
He first went to the outer study to find Jiang Zhongxing, knelt on the ground, and earnestly begged him to release his mother.
Jiang Zhongxing only gave him one sentence: "In a few days, you will have the chance to see her."
Jiang Han pondered over it all night, the more he thought, the more wrong it seed.
Could his father be planning to kill his mother?
The more he thought, the more he believed this was his father’s intention, that sentence implying he would get a chance to see his mother for the last ti.
