The maid’s eyes widened, "His legs, broken?"
The woman nodded, "Both legs, broken at the kneecap, the second young master might be crippled for life."
The maid was astonished and handed over another piece of silver, "Madam, do you know why the second young master angered the Duke?"
"I heard he attempted patricide and fratricide, that’s what the maids here just told ," the woman whispered, weighing the silver in her hand.
The maid thanked the woman and hurriedly ran back next door.
Ling Wei was waiting for news. Seeing the maid enter, she quickly asked, "What happened?"
The maid recounted the woman’s words verbatim, causing Ling Wei to collapse into her chair.
With broken legs, unable to leave the mansion, Jiang Han was utterly finished.
