Inside the inn.
An Ning was planning to leave with Guan Yu.
Guan Yu was still carrying An Ning’s dicine box.
Just as the two were about to leave, they saw a group of officials suddenly arriving at the inn’s entrance.
An Ning frowned.
So many officials suddenly coming to the inn...
An Ning led Guan Yu to one side instinctively to avoid blocking the way.

"It is the responsibility of each individual for the rise and fall of the nation." Feng Xiyun smiled serenely, "Lord Governor, there’s really no need to be so courteous. Besides, I am not certain I can treat the illness; I need to see it first to know."
"Doctor Feng’s dical skills are superb; it will certainly be possible." The governor complinted.
"Let’s not draw conclusions now; I wouldn’t want to disappoint Lord Governor, nor His Majesty." Feng Xiyun said, "Let’s head out after tea. By the way, why didn’t Lord Wu co in for tea and a rest?"
"Lord Wu said he would check the road conditions to Changn County first."
"Alright."
Feng Xiyun nodded.
She gave an impression of being agreeable and courteous, without any airs.
An Ning didn’t linger for long either, leaving the inn quietly with Guan Yu.
Thus, there was no need to investigate or speculate further.
The epidemic in Changn County had been reported to the court, and current actions toward Changn County were likely orders from Xiao Jinxing. Now, Xiao Jinxing entrusted Feng Xiyun from the palace to treat the epidemic.

"Sir, we need to go to Changn." An Ning spoke, her voice altered to a male tone.
"Changn is currently off-limits."
"Why?"
"Don’t ask too many questions! Seize them!" The officials, indiscriminate, directly tried to apprehend them.
"Sir, what have we done wrong? Even if we’re not allowed into Changn, you can’t just arrest us!"
"Stop talking! Take them away!" The officials restrained them.
"I am from Langzhong." An Ning shouted, "I’m here to treat the people inside Changn."
The officials paused.
"I’m aware the people inside are afflicted with an epidemic, so I’m going inside to help treat them."
The officials seed not to have received any such notice, turning to another official, "Did you receive any notice that soone from Langzhong would enter the city today?"
"No, the only notice was that today the Lord Governor would bring an Imperial Physician from the palace to Changn for treatnt." The official was equally baffled.
The two turned to look at An Ning.
Clearly, they didn’t view An Ning as an Imperial Physician.
"I’m not an Imperial Physician, but I truly am from Langzhong. Let in, I can cure the epidemic." An Ning explained.
"No, without permission, no one can enter. Detain them..."
"Officers, the people inside Changn are suffering imnsely, dying in large numbers every day, doesn’t it affect you?! Let in, I really can cure them! Even if I fail, it costs you nothing!" An Ning said loudly, "You’re afraid of further infections by not allowing entry, but if I’m not afraid, what are you afraid of?!"
The officials seed sowhat swayed.
An Ning continued, "Capturing us is only to prevent us from disclosing the quarantine at Changn; thus, anyone approaching Changn County must be detained until the epidemic ends before being released. If we enter the city gates of Changn County, with strict guards barring even a fly from entry, we naturally couldn’t exit, nor could we send out ssages!"
The officials observed An Ning’s eager deanor.
Listening to An Ning, "Letting in doesn’t affect you at all but has a trendous impact on those inside; I can truly cure them!"
The officials glanced at each other, settling into silence, until one spoke with goodwill, "It’s not that we don’t let you in, but letting you in ans you truly can’t co out. Many people from Langzhong ca half a month ago but couldn’t control the epidemic and are still quarantined in Changn County. Now, the court has dispatched an Imperial Physician, and all hope in Changn County rests on this skilled physician. What’s the point in you entering now?!"
"Thank you for your kindness, sir." An Ning expressed gratitude, "But a healer’s duty is to save lives; since we’re here, we cannot ignore it!"
The officials, witnessing An Ning’s determination, glanced at one another.
Changn County has been quarantined for a month.
Nurous deaths occur daily.
If soone could truly cure the epidemic, they’d be overjoyed.
They’re rely afraid of adding casualties.
"Since you’ve spoken to this extent, we’ll let you in; once inside, you can find Lord Liu Wenming and explain you’re from Langzhong, he will make arrangents." An official agreed reluctantly.
